  1. Hi all :)

My son was recently admitted to due to dengue but with God's grace he was just discharged yesterday. We was in treatment for 5 days in the hospital. Our medical examination is scheduled on October 10th and I am just a bit concerned if this would be a problem?

Though I've requested a medical certificate and clearance from his physician as well.

Thank you for your answers. (F)

  2. Ok, I made the right decision in pre-registering my husband to pick-up his visa packet at MOA then :) My husband lives in Pangasinan so for sure it would take forever for his visa to arrive if we just had it delivered. Thank you for answering my questions & Congrats again!

    Heya :)

Just a follow up question, if in any case I choose to pick up the visa at MOA how many days does it take to be ready? :)

  3. Hi,

Not sure if this is the right area to post this question. So, my kids are on CR2 (17, 16 and 15 yrs old) as well interview set for next month and medical exam. Just wanted to ask if anybody has had the same experience as mine. They have not enrolled in this school year in the Philippines last June after we got our approval arrived last May. Does anyone know what are the documents I need to prepare for them so they can attend school soon?

    Thank you :)

  4. Hi Greenbaum,

My hubby petitioned me via CR1 route. We are already on the NVC phase, when we decided to request to expedite and was just recently approved. So, I called NVC up and they told me all instructions will now be coming from USEM Manila.

That's the part which seems vague to me though, the process and how to go about it. But anyhow I will be calling them back on Monday just to be sure :)

  5. I noticed that the thread was more on Direct Consular Filing right? I got a few ideas on what to prepare. I got the checklist too! :) But I have a question though :

The duly completed Affidavit of Support must be submitted with original signature.

All my documents were sent out by my husband to the NVC and I do not have a hard copy with the original signature for the AOS. Will US Embassy Manila be asking for this as well? Or best to prepare one just in case? ( knowing the snail mail we have here in PI )

I spoke with one of the agents @ USEM Manila ; (I used the magic App to save on long distance calls!) he told me the following :

** that all correspondence about our case will be from them starting today

** that I should wait for an email coming from them that they have received my case which comes with a set of instructions on what to do next

** that they will be the one to schedule my interview?

** he got some of my details to create a "profile"

** gave me a link too on the checklist to prepare though I told him NVC has all my documents -- still a vague answer

Basically, the answers tells me to wait :) Anyhow, I'd give them a call back on Monday just to get an update :dancing:
