  1. So our K1 petition was approved in the states and we got our confirmation # from NVC and it is in transit to the Guayaquil consulate. We did the DS-160 form now and are compiling the docs to schedule the interview once the packet arrives.

Question - can my fiancé schedule and do the medical exam NOW or does she have to wait until the packet arrives and is "ready" in Guayquil? Any help appreciated!

I guess the number you received from NVC is something like GYQ######. You can go ahead and schedule the medical and do it.

To schedule for the interview you have to wait until you receive an email from the embassy in guayaquil telling you that they are ready to process with your k1 visa....

It takes about 5-7 business for the aplication to arrive at Guayaquil

    Good Luck

  2. Well, after exactly 111 days and thanks God, I am happy to update that our case has been approved as of yesterday May 31th!!! I just called my fiancée with the most awaited news and she is ecstatic, poor thing broke up crying. OMG what a good feeling!

I like to remind everyone else also waiting, yours approvals will come, remain positive and it will happen soon, never, never, never lose hope.

Excellent news.....now the rest will be quicker....

  3. WOOHOO!!!! NOA-2 TEXT TONIGHT AND I-129F K1 VISA APP APPROVED FROM CALIFORNIA!!!! I'm so ecstatic!!!!

Now it's off to NVC!!!! Anybody have any recent reference from their visa as to how long that process is from California to NVC down to the Guayaquil Consulate? We'll knock out the packet in Ecuador once they receive it in Guayaquil. No sooner, right?

Hey David.....My fiancee in Ecuador got her visa approved last friday......

It will take 3 weeks before you can get a case number from NVC and then another week or so to arrive to Guayaquil.

You can go ahead now and start getting the documents they requested on the packet so when you visa arrives to Ecuador you already have everything ready.

Once you get your NVC case number which start with GYQ######## in about 3 weeks......I will go ahead and make a medical exam appointment since they will need that number.

Once the visa is in Guayaquil you will receive an email saying that they are ready for it and the instructions in how to make an online appointment

Any question feel free to ask

  4. Just got the hard copy of our RFE today. They need the "Beneficiary's Intent To Marry You in the United States"

Now my question is... Does she need to write this up and send me the signed copy or is it sufficient to write one up, sign it and scan me a copy to print? I want to fedex this ASAP and waiting 3-4 days for DHL to deliver the document to me is time lost at this point. The evidence they state that is acceptable is a statement of intent to marry (easy enough) wedding preparations (a little harder considering we have no idea when this will all be approved) or other evidence that clearly establishes her intent to marry (somewhat vague) Facebook status change/posts? Engagement ring pics? Video of her making the statement burned to disk? lol I don't want to chance anything but I also don't want to waste any time whatsoever.

    Thanks!!

This is what we wrote on a letter.......( see attachment). The signature I think needs to be a WET signature (Original) but not sure. I did send the letter with a wet signature anyways ........
