  1. I am a USC, in the process of sponsoring my parents to come here. Their plan is once they get their green card they will sponsor my brother who is currently 18 year old and studying in the US as an international student. Would that be possible and how long would it take? My parent doesnt speak English and would not have any income in the US, they do have some rental properties in the home country.

    Thank you

  2. So she came here in 2008 (married),  2 year later, got her 10 year Green Card.  Immediately moved to Hawaii  without her husband! (huh? Why) Managed to get a place and secured a job within a month of arrival. (Did you know anyone there, were you seeing someone?)

Now “She was married over 2 years, his then mistress was pregnant, overall, an unfair situation” Okay, it seems like she had to endure a lot and was miserable, she left. Which raises the question How did they pass the 10 year GG round to begin with. Information probably were mispresented somewhere.

It doesnt matter if they have 10 year GC already, if USCIS thinks you obtain it due to mispresenting information truthfully, it become invalid.  Even if you come over decades ago, have baby with your wife, still got denied. This case the guy was married and having gfs.

Anyhow, the backlog has definitely increased 87% the last 2 years!

  3. Hello,

I received my I-797 on June 20 (dated June 13) saying my condition is extended for 18 months. I looked up my case status online using the provided Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx. But it said :

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information.

Does anybody know how long it take for info to be available online?

You can go ahead and submit your 2014 lease.

As far as bank statement goes...if you have lots of financial evidence, then pick one statement per quarter for your credit card and bank statements.  Print ALL pages.  If you DON'T have lots of financial evidence, then print all pages of all statements.

    Best of luck!

Thank you Sukie! I was afraid they would find it annoying for getting documents out of the timeline. It seems like they emphazise on the "duration of marriage".

  5. Hi everyone,

My husband and I are together the i-751 evidence of bona fide marriage package and was wondering:

    1. We got married in 2015, can we submit lease agreement for 2014 (in addition to 2015, 2016,  2017 of course)

    2. The bank statement pile has gotten really long really fast. Can we remove irrelevant pages? For example, the full length is 8 pages but really only 2 pages in the middle that has the transactions info. But since the pages are all numbered, I am afraid the officer would get confused?

    Thank you!

  6. Thank you for your reply. Did my husband trigger her asking for the report when he explained it that way? The uscis clearly stated court document confirming no charge.

Can they deny me without conviction? I am still with my husband and no charge were file. DA declined to file charge. No classes. No programs.

Did anyone need to submit their police report for domestic harassment before?

    Thank you very much.

  7. Hello,

We went to our AOS interview today and I prepared the exact documents stated in the instruction:

If ever get arrest and no charges were filed: bring an original official statement by the arresting agency or application court order confirming that no charges were filed.

So we brought the disposition letter from District of Attoney office confirming now charges were filed. This is how my husband explained my arrest to the interviewing officer: "We got in to a heated argument and the neighbour called the police, as you know Oregon law if someone hit or slaps they will take a person away even though it was minor"

After that, the officers asked for the police report of the incident, she called it the "incident report", and we didnt have it because I thought the court document was enough. So she issued us a RFE for the "incident report", told us couldnt stamp my passport because she didnt have the stamp with her.

We left and went straight to the police station of course. But my question is what is my chance of her approving my case? I am very nervous. Any advice is appreciated.

I am adjusting from F-1 and my husband is a USC, an engineer and our Affidavit of Support is excellent as he makes way above the required number. Will they deny me base on Moral character?
