So we finally got an update on our case.. interview was cancelled (we never got any notice of an interview being scheduled). Has anyone else run into this? We submitted October 2016, and responded to an RFIE on i485 in January 2017. Our status since Jan. 2017 has just been RFIE response received until today when it changed to interview was cancelled. I'm not sure exactly where this leaves us now. Has anyone had a similar experience/any advice on what to do?
I got my interview cancellation on November 2017. So far no any update and already did 2 e-request.

We are doing AOS from a visitors visa that expired. Read our immigration journey in my signature.
Renewing the EAD card is no cost, you just need to fill out the I-765 form as you did when you applied for your current one. It should of been sent 90 days before it expires.
Is it OK that my EAD has expire this month ?

Same happened to us, but in the Houston office. We were scheduled an interview for Nov 13, but was cancelled by USCIS 2 weeks before the interview date, & we still don't have a new interview date, and my husbands EAD card expired in November, We sent in the renewal back in August 2017. I also emailed USCIS, and was told a response by Dec 18th, no reply ever came. Going to contact our Congressman to see If they can assist. Been waiting now 15 months for this AOS process to end.
What is your category ? I am F2A.
I just call USCIS and was told I could call them back January 2 or send another e-request..
Could you tell me how to renew EAD ? What would it cost ?
Thanks

Hello Folks,
My GC interview has been cancelled on Nov 2 which should be Nov 5 because my document was not delivered to my local office.
The USCIS said the interview will be rescheduled by mail. But I do not receive any notice so far.
I also file e-request on December 2 and expect reply on December 24. But still no any reply.
My EAD has expired this month. Should I apply another EAD or just wait for the interview.
Any advice is welcomed.
Happy New Year
James

If you are self-employed, you certainly have a federal tax ID number for your business - an EIN number. You need to have a sole proprietorship or LLC, etc. Also, you can supply business license (local/state), letters of incorporation, etc. You have to show where the money comes from. You can't just say "I'm self-employed and this is how much I made last year." You need to get a competent CPA (accountant) and/or lawyer. It looks like you aren't completely organized (legally speaking). Make your business legitimate, file taxes, and get the necessary licenses, etc. A bank statement - by itself - means very little. Tax returns are what you need.
Thanks for your reply.
We do have tax return for last year. And one LLC and one Incorporation was registered in NY this year. So we do not have tax return for our company yet. We do on-line business and do not have business license.
I will bring tax return, letters of incorporation and bank statement. Hopefully there is no trouble for our interview.

Hello Folks,
I will be required an interview for my green card in long island,NY, My PD is October 2015. My wife is LPR.
I see we need to bring W2, employment letters and pay studs... But we are self-employed and do not have these documents.
And we only have tax return for last year and bank statement. I am not sure if these could pass their requirement.
What do you guys think ?
Any advice will be welcomed.
Thanks
James

Hey, did you maintain your status after you applied for AOS?

As of June 30, 2017 Long Island office has been processing applications from August 12, 2017, so it does take roughly 10.5 months, so if you filed in October, there are very good chances to be called in to the interview any time now. They will mail you a notice any time soon.
OK,Do you have website of Long Island office ? I may walk in and ask them.
Thanks

I bet he filed in October of 2016, so I would say that this is the right thread.
Well, it depends on the location, what USCIS service center are you close by? Where are you currently living?
Yes, I filed my AOS in October of 2016. I am living in Long Island,NY.
How can I get notice for interview ?
Thanks

Hello folks,
My PD is 10-2-2015 in F2A category . I was a student and did AOS in US this year. Now I see final action date is 22OCT15 for next month in VISA bulletin .
Does that mean I will receive interview notice ? When I expect to receive that normally ?
Can I track it by case number ? Since I already moved this year and changed address in USCIS system, but afraid they will mail it to original address.
Thanks for any advice.

Bringing Parents to Live in the United States as Permanent ResidentsEligibility
To petition for your parents (mother or father) to live in the United States as green card holders, you must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old. Green card holders (permanent residents) may not petition to bring parents to live permanently in the United States.
OK. Gotcha.
Thanks for your reply

Thanks and You are welcome. Its not dumb, usually only one or the others will update t first. At some point though the status will at least change to approved.
Does that mean I only carry my EAD when I go back to my country ?
Thanks

Really? I remember I received a letter too says they will mail AP separately when I got EAD. I will check that letter again.
That means I check my USCIS status everyday for my AP like dumb

Check the back of your card. Does it say "serves as i-512 advance parole" (or something very similar)?

Is this normal ?

Interview Cancelled and no update 3 month. EAD expired
in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
Posted
Hello Folks,
I got some problems on my i-485 pending.
My interview was cancelled on November 2017. There is still no any update after 2 e-request and calling.
And I renewed my EAD which has expired last month. But I received mail and my EAD was rejected because I sent an incorrect fee. Actually I did not attach any check since I think it is free for renew. Am I right ?
Now I am frustrated and do not know how I am about to do next step except wait. Any advice would be welcomed.
