  1. Japan has disarmed the population since the Tokugawa Shogunate formed which was over 400 years ago.

You mean all these Japanese Animes I had been watching are real? :wow::content:

Unlike most western countries, I believe most of the physical but non life threatening assaults in Asian Countries (including Japan) don't always get reported to the Police.

But I agree most crimes (such as theft and misdemeanors are) rates are much lower in Japan than many other Asian countries and the rest of the World.

  2. On the other hand, the republican party, inept as it is, knows it's lost this election, so it may end up affirming a "moderate democrat" in the position, lest they try and hold out as long as possible, lose the senate, and get steam-rolled by the most affirmative-type nominees hillary can come up with; I'm thinking a handicapped, gay, native american, who's also blind, with a raging case of tourette's.

You mean that husband forgiving, email washing, white lying Hillary will be the next POTUS? Not in my wildest wet dream!

I don't mind any handicapped, gay, blind, and mute serving on the SCOTUS instead!

  3. If the POTUS doesn't nominate the replacement SCOTUS justice or the Congress blocks the nomination, then the SCOTUS will mostly just sit idle on most issues for about a year or more which would be a real insult to the tax payers yet again!

The solution is probably really easy to get done than saying it out loud.

If any nominee and elected persons for any branch of the Government will do the job they are nominated / elected for regardless of their political carrier and background, the U.S. of A would be a supreme power for another few hundred years!

Any liberal, conservative or democrat can leave their party coat at home and wear the duty coat that they swear to serve when they get to work.

All the bickering and division among the parties will be simply resolved if they don't put their partisanship before the duty they are paid to serve by the Taxpayers dime!

I would be a little concerned if a liberal could clearly set the line straight for what duty they are to serve at first but I am sure it can be done with a few extra efforts, and trials and errors.

  4. RIP Justice Scalia!

Whoever replaces Scalia, I sure hope he/she is

    1. Someone who reads and understands the Constitution the way it was meant to.

    2. A Non-partisan who does the job of upholding the law.

    3. Someone with a heart who can sees both sides of the coins while preserving our Constitution.

    4. Someone who remembers why the separation of power was devised more than 228 years ago.

  5. Have you signup / register with USCIS Case Status online? If not, sign up an account and select to receive "Text / Email" alerts for your case.

If Form N-14 is issued, it will most likely (but not always) gets updated online. Even with the alerts, you should keep checking your online case status everyday or so since people have mentioned they don't receive text alerts or emails sometimes.

I understand your frustration but there is nothing you can do at this time other than wait and see.

  6. Did IO asked you any document or evidence that she needs to see? Is there form N-14 issued to you? Did you mention anything about what she needs to review?

Under any case, check your case status online and it might say "Initial Evidence Requested". If so, you need to wait for the N-14 and reply to the request promptly.

Normally, the decision can not be made if the evidence is required or the background check hasn't finalized yet at the time of the interview or the IO needs to read more about your case and your travel history; etc.

  7. I wasn't worried about the strong evidence part; we've got that covered thanks.

Hence me asking about the alien number and not about what problems we might encounter with the USCIS.

I'm not worried about proving my relationship.

Not meant to prejudge your situation and merely want you to aware of the USCIS situation.

Well then, not knowing the A# from his ex could not have effect on you.

But he might have a copy of some paperwork filed for her that he needs to look for?

  8. So how can students visit US?

Students with very strong ties to their home country and no relatives living in the U.S from the low fraud countries generally have a high chance of getting Tourists Visa.

Everyone posted in your thread has given you a fair opinion based on your first post due to your case does not sound like you have a very strong ties to your home country.

So, your chance of getting a Tourist Visa is about 1 in 100 based on what you said.

That 1% means the CO might let you visit because he/she is on a very good mood that day or enjoying the best day of the year such as a Pay Raise or just get promoted to a better position; etc.

Well, that 1% chance become 0 if you don't apply. You never know and you might get lucky!

Spend the $ and find out the answer.

    Good Luck!

  9. You can not expect a job regardless of the amount of time and money you spent or how much you would like to stay here.

The residency jobs are very difficult to get even with the GC or the U.S Citizenship for the foreign trained doctors who completed the USMLE re-certifications exams.

You need to get a job acceptance from the Hospital that can issue you H Type Visa.

J Type visa is not going to work for you.

You need to be called for interviews and accepted with your foreigner status and apply a H1B visa from your home country.

A fabricated Asylum claim will get you nowhere!

  10. I would divorce her and get her start packing.

Meanwhile, I will order a bunch of Thank you cards and prepared to get married when the first wife is gone.

Just Kidding...you know you married to a person that needs to be taught about the life in the U.S.A...

Here, we earn...We don't get nothing free (well, I know it's not true)....

Teach her, tell her, explain to her and get her up to speed slowly.

If you wants appreciation, you need to think hard and recall why you get married with her in the first place.

Good Luck to you and your Marriage. Hope you can save it.

And Hope you get better from Shingles too. I wouldn't know that pain but I heard it is very bad so save yourself from the misery and don't think too negative.

    Keep your chin up, man!

  11. I think our COs are doing their job fine and rightly so in denying Tourists visa for a very large majority of the B1/B2 applications without enough ties to their original countries.

But there would be some very unfortunate people that are denied due to the fact they fall in the suspected profile which would force them to seek K1 later on. So, there is a catch 22 but at the end of the day, the people who decided to get K1 got what they want.

  12. Answer Yes to traffic tickets and gives details and actions taken to correct the citation. Minor traffic citations will not effect your case as I answered them Yes and I had 3 too.

Under oath, the IO will most likely ask the same question to you even your background checks are clears. And you will tell him the truth and it'll bear no consequences on the decision for the minor traffic tickets.

    Good Luck with your Naturalization!

  13. There is something called '10-year Multiple Entries Tourist Visa'.

If OP has 10-year Multiple Entries Tourist Visa, he / she could use it to visit US, without apply for a new one.

His / Her concern here is whether CBP will question his/her Dad's overstay in US, and deny his/her entry to US.

Yep! I overlooked that 10 year multiple Tourist Visa validity. You made me aware that PI is one of those countries which can get a 10 year multiple entry Tourist visa.

So, she is spared from the misery of the Visa Denial at the Embassy. But it's a hard call if she will be let in by the CBP.

May be CBP won't scrutinize the visitors in a busy time.

  14. OP and family have visited US twice.

I believe OP as a minor got his/her tourist visa, hinged on his/her Parent's ties to home country.

    Then his/her dad overstayed.

I am more curious about how his/her dad going to get green card / citizenship fix inside US with overstay.

I read that too but all the previous Visas were used so she no longer has a Visa unless she obtained one recently. I am interested how a CO slipped through the Dad's status here if she recently obtained a Visa.

Her dad can get an asylum or get divorced from her mom in PI and married to a USC? It's a long shot but....
