  1. Thanks again for your response....

I was checking the I-134 form..

Question 11. Do you intent or do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

the example form on VJ says N/A... did you do the same? or one has to select intend or do not???

    Kindly reply

We used the example form also and we wrote N/A.

  2. Thanks

QUICK QUESTION... MY FIANCEE BANK MANAGER IS ASKING RIGHTNOW!!!

    For affidavit of support;

The letter from bank should show date account was opened, total deposit for the past year and present balance

total deposit for the past year: does this mean from January 2015 to December 2015 or from June 2015 to May 2016???

    Kindly reply

The letter my fiance got from the bank had all those things included yes, and it was the total amount deposited from May 2015 until May 2016 although the embassy did not ask for this letter (maybe because my fiance made way over the required income).

They did ask for the letter from his employer though.

  3. Hello Everyone,

We are on the homestretch and looking forward to the end of all the confusing questions. On the DS 160 there is a section that asks about prior US travel. My fiancé has traveled to the US on a 90 travel visa before. When the question is answered yes, it then asks for a visa number which is unknown as there has never been hard paperwork associated with the 90 travel visas obtained before. The subsequent questions do not seem to apply so we are wondering if the form is looking for non-immigrant visas, specifically travel visas. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!

I don't remember having to enter in a visa number on my DS-160, I travelled on the visa waiver program, is there no option for that?

  4. Hello dear Scandinavians, I hope you are all doing well and that you're managing to stay patient in your journey :)

Me and my fiancée got our NOA2 10 days ago and we know that the next recommended step is to obtain our case number from the NVC. My question (I'm the beneficiary) is if I can call the NVC in order to obtain the case number, or does it have to be the petitioner? What will the NVC need to know from us in order for them to give us the case number? Just our names, or also our old case number with the USCIS? :)

Additionally, I have been struggling to acquire any kind of documentation on vaccines that I have received as a child here in Sweden. I've called every health care center (vårdcentral) that could have anything, but their files don't stretch back far enough. I have also requested my medical records from 'Journalarkivet', but strangely enough those records did not contain any information on my vaccines. Perhaps they simply made a mistake and I should try again. What did you other Swedes do to obtain evidence of vaccines you have received? Or did the medical examiner simply look at your year of birth to determine which shots you have been given?

I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide! :)

It needs to be the petitioner who calls, I don't believe they will talk to the beneficiary.

I can't help you with the vaccination records, I live in Sweden but I'm from the UK so i requested mine from back home to bring to the medical.

  5. Thanks Maria for your response.

    One more question...

For the interview; Do we need to book for the wedding date..??? do they need it during the interview??? Do they ask for it?

Or I only need to have a proposed date when they ask???

Just incase they ask when the wedding will be!

    THanks

When i went for my interview he asked me about our wedding and I told him we had nothing planned for certain but that if everything went and the visa was issued we had planned to get married around the 18th of June, nothing fancy or big since we don't have time to prepare for that, just friends and food and a party! And that answer was perfectly acceptable.

I don't think they assume that you will have your wedding all planned out because you will not have all that much time to plan it.

  6. I don't mind Delta, but they were like $600 or 800 more per ticket and there are 4 of us traveling, so that adds up quickly! I like KLM too and I love listening to the Dutch, it is like being with my grandmother again. :)

I fly with KLM around Europe and when I go to the US I always get put on Delta flights automatically, KLM from Gothenburg to Amsterdam and then Delta from Amsterdam to Portland. Decided to sign up for Delta's frequent flyer program now since I'll be using it more!

Weirdly it's cheaper to book return flights, I got a return ticket for $815 and it was $1675 for a single!

  7. Does anybody know a cheap way to send a couple of boxes (20kg) from Sweden to the USA?

I'm not planning on taking a lot of stuff with me when I move but some stuff I just can't throw away, I've checked websites like fedEX and UPS but just to send these small boxes is like 4000 sek...which seems insane!

    Any tips?
