  1. We had our final interview today. All went really well. We were approved on the spot. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS THEY REQUEST EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SENT THEM IN! They lost one paper we had submitted previously and had we not brought copies that would have been an additional wait. Take the time to be thorough, you never know what they are going to screw up.

Best of luck to all those still waiting. PM me if anyone has further questions. I wish I could hug all of you for the support I've gotten over the last 2 years. We couldn't have done it without all the amazing people here and RapidVisa. (No, they didn't pay me to plug this. They just made the process so much easier that it would be remiss of me to not mention them and they get my wholehearted endorsement for ANYONE trying to go through this process.)

  2. Hi everyone,

USCIS received our paperwork on 5/5/2017, NOA on 5/8/2017. Filed EAD, AP, and AOS all at the same time. Got biometrics appointment done on 5/30/2017. All through the NBC or Cincinnati office.

My question is this: Why is the Cincinnati office seemingly so much slower than the other offices? It seems like almost everyone here already has their EAD/AP complete and some even with their AOS ready for interview. We have nothing. I called the NCSC and was told that they are backlogged and I could expect to see my application looked at within a YEAR?!!? Is this normal? What do I do? What can I do? Please help.

  3. Thank you both for the quick replies. This whole process is just nerve-wracking. I swear I've aged 5 years in the last 6 months. Why can't they just tell you exactly what they're doing in each step instead of using these vague far-too-often-used canned statuses that can mean something, nothing, or everything. Currently doing my very best to not just crumple into a ball.

  4. Hello all,

I apologize in advance for the rather frantic nature of this post, but in short, I'm panicking. My fiance and I went to the interview in Montreal on May 18th, he was told he was approved on the spot and to expect his visa within 1-2 weeks. CEAC status was "Ready" from that date until Friday the 27th when it switched to Administrative Processing, which it claims can take weeks. We were hoping to move him down the week after next. Please tell me this is all normal and that we are good to go. Please?
