can people who have gone through this process please post your experiences with the doctors in bogota that conduct the exams, dra gonzalez and dr. roa. how long did it take from start to getting your results? 2, 3 days

given the choice of the 2 docters, why did you choose one over the other? was it because of speed, availabilty, location, female doctor? i had read (i can't recall if it was in bogota or in other countries) how some male doctors have taken advantage of young women by asking them to strip naked where as the female doctors do not and conduct the exam with most or all of the clothes on.

for that reason alone i was thinking of taking my wife to see la Dra gonzalez.

looking, thanks so much for posting such detailed and informative reports, especially your account of the interview and the questions that were asked.

i'm glad that things are going well for the two of you and wish you continued happiness. please continue to stop by from time to time and say hello, share any updates or give advice to those of us still working our way through this maze. our case was recently completed so i hope that we may get our interview for july or august.

lucho. let me know about the vaccinations in barranquilla. my wife is there and she has to get the 3 soon as we're expecting the interview date sometime in july or aug. please let me know what your fiance finds out, if she can just walk in or has to make an appt, how much, etc.

it really depends on the embassy, whether they have a heavy case load or not. some consulates are better staffed and more efficient so they process the interviews quicker than others, there isn't an accurate answer that anyone can give you. to best get an estimate is to look for people like you who have gone through mexico for a cr-1 visas already and look at their timelines or just send them a message for advice/information. in my case, i'm waiting for an interview and looking at couples that have gone through bogota for a cr-1 visa, the time between case completion and interview is about 2 months.

yes, i've noticed that things can go wrong or be delayed in colombia so we'll be traveling to bogota with enough time to sort everything out before the interview and hopefully still have a few days to spare.
