Catwoman2 reacted to Juva in Akai House Accra Ghana Medical Appointment
Greetings Wallace :
Thank you for all the information. Yes, all that you have shared has remedied my frustrations. My fiance has physically gone several times to the embassy in order to get next step instructions from them ever since finding out that the NVC sent his case to Ghana in January and he lives five hours away. Can you please let me know if the medical clinic allowed your fiance to use the interview confirmation page to complete his physical. Also, the payment to the GT bank is it the payment submitted after completing the DS160? I leave tomorrow for Ghana and I will try to do things the way you and your fiance has done. I want to thank you for your time spent responding to me and may God be with us and see us through this process.
Much appreciated,
Juva

Hello, Juva.
We have not heard anything from the embassy in Ghana. I have a friend whose fiance arrived in the U.S. early this year and she said he never head anything at all from them and they had to do everything themselves. Also, it appears the process has changed very recently from one where you wait to pick up instructions from the embassy (Package 3), complete that, return it, and then receive a Package 4 with the interview date and additional instructions.
Once I found out from the NVC that the package was in Accra I first had my fiance complete the DS-160 online. That's not a prerequisite for paying the visa fee at GT bank, though. Once you pay the fee at the GT bank you will use the transaction receipt number and DS-160 number to go on the ceac website and schedule your interview. Once you receive your confirmation email that the interview is scheduled you can then take that confirmation and go to the medical clinic to have the medical exam. My fiance will go to the Akai House next week. It doesn't look like you make an appointment but just walk in for it. Be sure your fiance takes any immunzation records available. My fiance doesn't have any.
I'm attaching something from this site someone posted at the end of last year about what to bring to the interview. I'm not sure if I'll be getting anything current via email or text telling us what to bring. We only just did all of this over the last couple of days so I'm hoping we get a current list of what to bring to the interview. My friend I've been talking with said her fiance used this document to assemble what he took to his interview and everything went well. What I don't see on this list is the original and a copy of the beneficiary's birth certificate.
I hope this helps.

Approved!!!
My husband arrived at his interview an hour early and at 7:30am he was called in.
He went through the strandard processing before he was called in by an Adjudicator, he asked him 4 questions:
1. Regarding my workplace;
2. If I was married before;
3. Which city I live in ;
4. If he was previously married.
He answered all of the questions correctly. He said the Ajudicator was very polite and professional.
He was unable to approve him that day because my husband needed to update his police certificate and also his medical report was not ready.
My husband had to wait an additional week to pick up the medical report and recieve his second immunization.
The adjudicator provided him with the DHL information to submit his medial report and police certificate.
He submitted the information on 1/29/18 via DHL.
After he left the the initial interview his status changed to Administrative review.
His status was updated to" Issued " on 2/5/2018.
We are waiting to get the message to come and pick up his passport.
Alhamdullilah, for everything
