We got approved Friday the 18th in Chatsworth , California, the IO was pretty straight forward and looked through all our evidence including our pictures he only asked my wife a few questions though, my name, B-day and address he didn't really key on me at all. They can tell if you are BS-ing them so if your relationship is real and you have nothing to hide your good, just be honest if you don't have things they ask for. What a relief !!!!!

Now that this horrible tragedy in Orlando happened , the Visa process that was highly scrutinized after the SB shooting just went out the window since the shooter was born and raised in the US. I love my country but damn there are no doubt so many leaks to plug in our security of our country. RIP to all those that passed ....

I believe most of the CBP agents are bi-lingual especially in LA, last September I returned from my trip I did see plenty of direction and help all around me to move the process as quickly as possible. And when he is processed through you will be able to spot him very easy coming up the ramp out of immigration just hang out next to the railing and you will be fine.

Just provide what you can and not overdue it, but overall have sufficient amounts of all the requirements for the interview, we printed out about 25 pages of viber chat (beginning dates and latest dates) even that we hade some voxer and whats app chats too available we didn't bring. in the long run the CO didn't even bother looking at it in detail but just having a stack of chats in view was enough.
Be prepared for just about any questions......My girl was asked how long I am at my current job and it's 11 years then they asked what I did before that and she didn't know , I never told her that ? I had even forgotten what I did before my current job, crazy question but be prepared for anything...good luck

They contacted us a couple of months ago but I believe we would not qualify since we have no drama with each other not good for TV I'm sure, so we decided not really to pursue it although I'm sure it paid good, so far we are just a boring happy couple ....haha !

Joan is in the air about half way here , I'm heading over to LAX in a bit. Amazing process of ups and downs, patience is a virtue no doubt and looking forward to the next chapter of our lives. Good luck to all of you of the verge of your approval , we are all defiantly a special breed of people to go through this but its so worth it.......Take care.

I'd bring the beginning of your relationship maybe 10 pages worth (time stamps) and the last 10 pages till current everything in between I wouldn't bother , but as they say all embassy's are different, in our case the CO didn't even look through ours at all from viber and whats app , she just saw the stack of chats and that did it. I'm sure someone here from your country that dealt with your can give you more insight on their particular requirements. Good luck and take care.

Finally our Visa has been approved and shows 'Issued" today an closes a chapter in a book that I hope will have many more chapters to come here in Cali. I really appreciate the help and the few questions that was answered along the way from you all. No one said it would be easy and it wasn't so now the future is here, bottom line it's all about Love nothing more ,nothing less..... this is why we are all here....... Anyway I am going to see my favorite sport of baseball this Saturday and enjoy with my friends but I will reflect on our hard work getting this process done and maybe shed a tear or two secretly but I will have a great time knowing in a few weeks Joan will be by my side cheering too. Thanks again......

We are just waiting on a "back ordered" measles shot she will take Thursday then she will send in the complete medical report with her passport, She had already received the two of 3 shots required on her first visit to the doctor . Interview is done all police reports are in ,the 221 g requirements we received then will be complete , probably would have not gone through this slight delay but packet 4 arrived too fast and 6 days later was the interview so no time for the medical to get processed properly but she had to go to the interview regardless , embassy is cool and working with her from the looks of it and seem anxious to get her case processed and visa issued, nice people. It was a clean cut and dry process except for the medical hic cup but no big deal Our plan was her to travel May 15thish anyway so still way ahead of schedule , just gotta book the flight before it gets expensive, but waiting on that 'ISSUED" pop up. *Happy to never go through this again.
So she went in yesterday and finally received her last injection for MMR , Obtained her complete medical report and sent it out SF xpress to the embassy with her passport . The 221g we received was HK PR and medical report which was fulfilled, other then that we are done now and will wait on the process and hope the approval is quick and she gets her approved visa package back by next week some time. I'm ready to pop the Champagne cork here in LA very soon. Still looking for her to travel here between May 15 to the 18th.

I believe your agency is mistaken. You should not need a police clearance. A police clearance can be obtained from the UAE only if the applicant is physically present in the UAE. The consular officers at the U.S. Embassy Manila are aware of this. Maybe it's time to find a new agency.
Yes I agree , My girl lived in Dubai more then 6 months and they didn't require it at her interview last month.

Ok, so her employee contract date is irrelevant and has no ties to the medical expiration and she's good to extend her stay by 10 days with no issues?

Ok people , interesting question here. Joan is an OFW in HK and her contract will expire on May 8th and she will need to leave the country but she would like to extend the contract at least another 10 days with her employers agreement. So if her visa is issued say around April 20th when will her medical expire? On her end of original contract day? or at the end of the extra 10 days? or is her medical exam good for the 6 months based on the visa issue date no matter what.
*Currently just went on AP after interview 3/29 for late medical report but to be delivered eta April 11 Only issue we have.

Hi James and Joan,that's good to hear that she got the packet 4 already.The interview is quick and easy.. (but I guess,it depends on every case as well).As long as you have lots of evidence, and all your documents are complete,,they will not grill you..hehe...gud luck..it will be soon.
Hi , So Joan had her interview today and it went ok and she was fine with it they did not ask too many questions but the problem was they did not receive the Medical report and HK police report yet, I kinda knew since they gave just 3 days to complete medical before interview, Joan got the sense that was the only issue, they kept the AOS her NBI and her Birth certificate and returned her passport and all the evidence, they said they will call as soon as the missing documents arrive and told her to make sure the visa delivery address was updated and correct, Seems we are good in a few days......

I see..It will arrive soon..mine, it took 7 working days after I sent back the packet 3,before I received the packet 4.And just a small tip,,please tell your girl,to bring evidence of your relationship as much as she can.God bless and gud luck again.

Good morning from here.Sorry for my late reply. Anyway,how did you know that her schedule of interview is on 29?(As shown on your timeline). Because the interview schedule is in the packet 4.Just be patient,, and check the mail box, so that she will not miss it.Good luck.
No problem , thank you , I emailed the HK embassy last Thursday and they emailed me back with her interview date March 29th at 8:30 am and told me they just sent out her pk 4 on the 18th that's how I found out, ok thanks hopefully today she's checking again today.

Hi!Thank you..The packet 4 will arrive through post mail,please remind your girl to check their mail box always.And about the medical appointment, she can book the medical as soon as she get the P4.Sometimes, the embassy give only a short notice before the interview.. Gud luck!

" very short notice" for sure ! , Joan is stressing out , no pk 4 yet and its the 23rd when she wakes? they said they sent out on the 18th it will be day 4 for us, they are giving her no time for medical and her interview is scheduled for the 29th and yet no pk 4, I'm wondering if she could reschedule to the following week.

I decided to send the HK consulate an email about packet 4 since it seems they are talking more time than usual , well they are very responsive to emails it seems they got back to me after one day and said they just sent out packet 4 yesterday and Joan's interview will be March 29th wow now faster than I thought. Anyway its a good tip to you all HK is very responsive to emails.......I will update the interview review when she's done. The end of the tunnel is near now .......

Hi!You need to mail the ds-160 confirmation page,along with the HNK application for readiness, and also the documents checklist.The cenomar should send by the NSO Manila directly to the US embassy Hk. Gud luck!
Congrats on your approval !!!! Question: Packet 4 arrives by post mail or by SF Express ?, just want to make sure she's home to sign for it or someone is at least and also did your medical appt take place about two weeks or so before your interview, Thanks again and congrats.....

JandJ I think we are almost right behind you guys. Just got her case number today. So hopefully with in a month or so she should be receiving the same stuff. Really curious how the interview goes for your fiancé there so I can prep my fiancé for it also., Keep us posted on your progress if you would. Thanks
Hi willygp ,Yea not a problem, I'll write up a post-interview review when she's finished, she should be receiving packet 4 anytime now and schedule her medical and we can finally prepare for the interview.

Just wanted to say that all the wait is really worth it! My fiancé had his interview yesterday and hearing the CO say that everything was ok, that we just needed to wait for the visa, was everything!
Wow Congrats !! That's an impressive timeline in speed we are very similar and still waiting for packet 4.....Go Brazil !

Thank you all , yes I understand now , What happened was she knows someone at NSO who was able to get an original Cenomar when she was in Philippines in February but I just went and processed it on line anyway just to follow the exact instructions to be sent to HK to be safe and not to take chances if they happen to not electronically send.

Well that was quick just got the case # text and will wait for the 797 in the mail an sit back , stand by and relax till interview or not I hope....This time around I am more relaxed and as always through this whole process from the K-1 till now we have nothing to hide , anything else they want we can provide , we are truly a very happily married couple so no worries....
