  1. So I got off the phone with the NVC and received my Case #, the guy I spoke with said I should be receiving a welcome letter with further steps, does anyone know what I should start to prepare. I did ask, and he said the welcome letter is not Packet 3, or is the welcome letter just something to say hey start getting ready for packet 3 from the embassy.

You should prepare I-130f affidavit Of support and letter how you met and chat. Examples online

  2. I would be pretty mad if the person I was paying for their services got mad at me for asking them to keep me posted about what they are doing with my money.

Did you check for your case number in the link I just sent you? I believe that appointment file is updated daily.

    Best of luck!

I've checked ,it's still nothing.... I did raise my voice to let her know. That's when she said I should know in a couple of weeks for my interview date, but back of my head doesn't believe her

  3. Use your number beginning with BNK and check the list in this link daily. If your attorney is being truthful with you and sent your packet 3 in when they said it should only take 3-5 days to get your packet 4 with interview date back. My fiance just spoke to someone else that she does not know well about their experience with the K1 visa in Thailand using an attorney. They started with the attorney in June. Her attorney supposedly sent in her packet 3, 3 months ago and her appointment is in February.... We sent our packet 3 Saturday and tracking showed it signed for at the Embassy on Sunday. We expect to have a February appointment notice in a day or so.

    Congratulations!

    It's a great feeling.

About week ago when I talked to my attorney assistant , she seems mad because I've been blowing up her phone . She told me that in two weeks I should get a interview date. She guesses the last week of February is what the interview will be, she thinks .

  4. From what I've researched, you can call the NVC at this number: +1 (603) 334-0700 to find our your case number, unless you already have it. Using that case number, you can track down your packet online at the following website: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

I've been following the website "Life as Mrs. Presson" (www.mrspresson.com), and the page that will specifically help you right now is as follows: http://www.mrspresson.com/immigration/129f-fiancee-petition-process/nvc-ceac-status-tracker/

Scroll down to the part titled "How do I know if our petition / case is already at my Fiancé(e)'s consulate?" I hope this information helps!

    All best,

    The future Mrs. Ramon Seibel

I already have my nvc number and invoice already . Just trying to get an estimated time for a interview date!

Wishful thinking ! Thank you for your reply

  5. Another trick is call right at 7:00 am EST and your call will be answered on the first or second ring. Wait 5 min to 7:05 am and your back on the Hamster Wheel.

Very true! I called around 3pm in Illinois time and kept hanging up until

I heard press one for English and etc, waited for about 15 mins and got a live person to give me my case and invoice number . I guess I was lucky!!!!

  6. Which app do you use?

I'm new here, it seems like once our case gets approved from USCIS, it goes to NVC, I see lots of comments of people calling NVC. Does it make to case go faster if we call?

It doesn't go any faster. On a gut instinct I just called , instead of waiting 4 weeks and so. Just called them and they gave me my case number and invoice, I guess I was one of the luck ones .

  7. The thing that convinced me about that lawyer is what you said "If he and staff feels they can't get you a visa they won't take you as a client". That usually means they are not going to waste your time and their time because "time is money". The other thing is that is a warning sign if they don't take your case.

And look now, you are getting information for free and enjoying everyone's company while going through the process. The only thing missing is your favorite drink. :secret:[/quote

They're very straight forward about everything. You can ask them a million questions for free, before hiring they're firm.

  8. That's crazy. The cheapest lawyer that would even give me a quote for anything without payment, was $2,100 only to file the k1 paperwork. Most people in my area required an appointment and a $150-250 initial fee for questions/any information

I was lucky . I was going to hire one that would cost me about 2500 for just the k1 forms , but accidentally Stumble upon this firm and did a ton of homework on them, plus they'll ask a ton of questions on your part to see if your qualify to take on as a client. They're repetition is the most important thing to them. Yes they do have a payment plan too.

  9. This can be a very stressful time for your fiancé and I commend you on stepping up and making her life a little easier.

Can we be nosey and asked what their fees are?

They do not care who's check is paying your fee for the application. All they care is that you made the check out properly and that there is money in the account when they electronically cash the check.

It was 1995.00 includes the k1 visa forms and green card.

You can check them out at us immigration advisor in Bangkok Thailand

Just google it and you'll find them!
