  1. Are you serious! Damn...... wonder why is taking them so long to update info on website and if that is taking them long iq don't even want to imagine how long they gonna take to approve it...

It is unfortunately a long process. It takes about 5 to 6 months for nebraska center. That's how log mine took and I'm petitioning my husband from same country

  2. I'm filling out the I 864 form and following the instructions. Just to clarify in part 2 it's for the principal immigrant which is my husband. Do I also have to include his information in part 3 because according to the instructions this is regarding other people immigrating with the beneficiary?? Or at least that's how I understood it. Can anyone please clarify this.

Also in part 5 for the sponsors household size of I click 1 for currently married for spouse it's under persons not sponsored in this affidavit. I'm confused.

  3. My husband is in el salvador. He obtained his pcc in Sept of 2015. So we should still be ok unless his interview is after September? Because he told me his pcc is good only for 3 months. If he renews it now by the time he has his interview it will have expired again.

Also noa2 was sent to nvc April 13. When is it recommended I start calling for a case#

  4. <p>

I don't have case complete yet but this information about needing an unexpired PCC is directly from the Department of State website. I take this to mean if at the time of your interview your PCC is expired, you must bring a new one to the interview:

    https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. If at the time of your interview the following three items are all true, you must bring a new police certificate to your visa interview:

    • You are more than 16 years old;
    • The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
    • You still live in the country that issued the certificate.
  5. If you think your interview will happen before September then you're good. My husband's PCC is also from September 2015. Hoping we get CC this month and interview scheduled for June.

Even if those police certificates are good for 3 months? It's still valid?

  6. Yes, the biographic page is the page that has his picture and information on it.

Here's information about the PCC as per the Department of State website:

For country-specific guidelines on how to obtain a police certificate, review the Country Documents section at Reciprocity by Country.

So if my husband obtained his police clearance September 14 2015...we are still ok to use this?

  7. My husband was approved that same day. Just today I received the hard copy NOA2. I have been following a lot of timelines that previously got approved and sadly they've all been taking longer then 2 weeks until they're finally at NVC. We just have to be patient. The longest part of the wait is over NVC is faster and runs smoother from what I've heard.

Ok thanks! I haven't received my hard copy of the noa2 just yet. Maybe today will be the day

  8. Regardless of all that I believe it has to do with the country of the beneficiary. I am not 100% sure but I believe they separate the cases by the country. Some countries take longer because they have more people asking for their relatives then others. Again I'm not sure how they work all of this but it would make sense.

I was thinking it has to do with the beneficiary's country as well but they don't give accurate information when you call uscis. There's only a few November filers left that haven't been touched me being one of them. It's frustrating. But I've seen this on the uscis app

  9. I'm really hoping that April will be our month. I really don't understand how they're going about the process cases from November have been approved already. It's frustrating because I don't know what's going on! :(

Same here...I was an early November filers which many have already been approved and I havent received anything yet. And when I've called uscis they tell me they are working on September filers
