Ok! thanks for your help dwheels76

Thankyou so much! So for sponsors household size it comes out as 3 even though it's just me and my husband. Is that how it should be?
-
I'm filling out the I 864 form and following the instructions. Just to clarify in part 2 it's for the principal immigrant which is my husband. Do I also have to include his information in part 3 because according to the instructions this is regarding other people immigrating with the beneficiary?? Or at least that's how I understood it. Can anyone please clarify this.
Also in part 5 for the sponsors household size of I click 1 for currently married for spouse it's under persons not sponsored in this affidavit. I'm confused.

Nvc received my paperwork April 18! Now to wait for a case number

It takes about 5 to 6 months for the first part of the process thru uscis

My husband is in el salvador. He obtained his pcc in Sept of 2015. So we should still be ok unless his interview is after September? Because he told me his pcc is good only for 3 months. If he renews it now by the time he has his interview it will have expired again.
Also noa2 was sent to nvc April 13. When is it recommended I start calling for a case#

<p>
I don't have case complete yet but this information about needing an unexpired PCC is directly from the Department of State website. I take this to mean if at the time of your interview your PCC is expired, you must bring a new one to the interview:
Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. If at the time of your interview the following three items are all true, you must bring a new police certificate to your visa interview:
- You are more than 16 years old;
- The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
- You still live in the country that issued the certificate.
-
If you think your interview will happen before September then you're good. My husband's PCC is also from September 2015. Hoping we get CC this month and interview scheduled for June.
Even if those police certificates are good for 3 months? It's still valid?

Yes, the biographic page is the page that has his picture and information on it.
Here's information about the PCC as per the Department of State website:

For country-specific guidelines on how to obtain a police certificate, review the Country Documents section at Reciprocity by Country.
So if my husband obtained his police clearance September 14 2015...we are still ok to use this?

My husband was approved that same day. Just today I received the hard copy NOA2. I have been following a lot of timelines that previously got approved and sadly they've all been taking longer then 2 weeks until they're finally at NVC. We just have to be patient. The longest part of the wait is over NVC is faster and runs smoother from what I've heard.
Ok thanks! I haven't received my hard copy of the noa2 just yet. Maybe today will be the day

My husbands noa2 was approved March 31st...should I follow up with nvc tomorrow?
-
Thank you very much for the information!
-
And also how long is the police clearance valid for?
-
What is the biographic data page of the beneficiary passport. Is that just a copy of the photo with the person's information on the passport? I know this sounds like a dumb question but I just want to be sure.
-
Thanks so much! Congrats to you too!
-
Congrats!!!! My husband's case got approved today as well! I was shaking when I found out haha. Well I believe that once it says on the website that NVC has received that's when you start calling as much as you'd like to try and get a case number. I have to do my research haha
-
Finally got the approval!!! so excited!! I can't even think straight!!!
So now how long do we wait before checking if nvc has received the case? What are the next steps?

Regardless of all that I believe it has to do with the country of the beneficiary. I am not 100% sure but I believe they separate the cases by the country. Some countries take longer because they have more people asking for their relatives then others. Again I'm not sure how they work all of this but it would make sense.

I was thinking it has to do with the beneficiary's country as well but they don't give accurate information when you call uscis. There's only a few November filers left that haven't been touched me being one of them. It's frustrating. But I've seen this on the uscis app
-
I hope we get answers soon. It makes me more anxious. But I'm sure we're in the same boat.
-
I'm really hoping that April will be our month. I really don't understand how they're going about the process cases from November have been approved already. It's frustrating because I don't know what's going on!
Same here...I was an early November filers which many have already been approved and I havent received anything yet. And when I've called uscis they tell me they are working on September filers
-
Have not received noa2 yet maybe this week...
-
My noa1 was for November 4th and I still have yet to receive noa2....
-
Yes but some cases within the nebraska office that have been filed during the same time have longer waiting periods. Why does this happen? Does it also depend on the country.
For example I submitted my case in november i still haven't received an noa2 yet some people who have filed after me or around the same time as me have received their noa2
-
I am filing from the US for my husband. Noa1 was 11/4
I know I'm not the only one but it's frustrating

It is unfortunately a long process. It takes about 5 to 6 months for nebraska center. That's how log mine took and I'm petitioning my husband from same country
