    my case was complete on June 23th, I received an Email from NVC saying the case is in queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas. My interview is supposed to be in the Jerusalem consulate. Does anybody know how long it takes for this consulate to schedule a CR-1 visa interview?
    is it a busy consulate??
    Please help!! this process been taking way too lonnnng

    Our child is a U.S. citizen so she won't need a green card. And yep, he'll be staying in Norway

    Well if you moving soon I guess u can wait but if not it will be better to update address on dl , since you still have time to file you I 751. Try to think co-mingle your finances (bank statements) are very important, good luck

    Filing an I-90 will be a waste of money since green card will expire in about 3 months and you have to remove conditions. New green cards take more than 6 months to be issued and they can't issue you an expired one. Your best course of action will be to schedule an info pass appointment to request an I-551 stamp on your passport. You'll need this stamp when you also file I-751 as your extension letter will not be sufficient alone without the actual physical expired green card. The I-751 application process also require you to submit both front and back copies of green card, since you have only the front copy I wonder if that'll be a problem.

    You can't track a case with an Alien registration number if that's what you're asking

    Well, based on this information given, is it clear to say that my case is complete and now the next step is the interview? if so, then why my wife (the petitioner) got this checklist?
    and how come the NVC representative said that there is no information missing and still submitted this checklist?

    I have similar story. Lawyer told us that we can file K1 or either way I can get married to him on my B2 without staying in the USA and adjusting status and file for CR1. That's exactly what we are doing and after chatting to CBP (I am a cabin crew), he told me what We did is perfectly fine and legal. So no worries
