Hi guys,
I had my interview in Montreal 45 days ago, and since then I entered AP status (officer said that he needs extra time to review my case without asking for any extra docs, he didn't ask to get my passport) and remained like that until yesterday when I noticed that it changed to "Ready" for interview appointment. I think there is a glitch in the system because I am not supposed to have another interview. Does anyone have an explanation? Should I expect them to ask for my passport soon?
Thank you.

Guys,
If anyone is looking for a place to stay in when planing to visit US consulate in Montreal, Canada, I advise you to check this place on Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/15069762
This guy is renting his place for $49 CAD/night... it is very neat, and clean.. and it is a walking distance of 25 mins from US consulate and 20 mins from the Panel physician in Montreal. Also if you are coming by Greyhound from a different province, the bus station is literally two minutes from this place, and you can see it from the window of your room.
I highly recommend it... Spread the word, and help all Canadians immigrating to US!
Best of luck.

Thanks Dwheels for your reply and for adding me to the CC list. Do you think MTL has ran out of employment visas available this year? Or there are news visas available each month? I a bit worried!Congratulations on the Case Complete. I have added you to spreadsheet. Yes the Visa type has alot to do with it.
Thank you.

Have you called the NVC to see if you have an interview scheduled?
Yes. Not scheduled yet.

I am following the CC to interview spreadsheet and I was surprised to see someone else who had CC date 3 days after me and he already got his interview scheduled while I am still waiting. Is there any explanation? My petiton is employment based while his petiton may be family based. Could stay be a reason?

I am looking at CC to interview spreadsheet and I see that MTL schedule seems to be congested as it didn't schedule any interviews since mid June. Aneone has an explanation?
Thank you.

Hi guys,
I just submitted my civil docs electronically. Does anyone know how long it takes in average to review electronic submissions?
Thank you

Hi Saved,
I think you have lots of time. We applied for a consulate change via e-mail after case complete, and it was approved three days later. I called the NVC before requesting the change and they said that as long as an interview hadn't been scheduled, the package hadn't been sent to the consulate, and it was still easy to change.
We had previously thought about changing the consulate, and they said it could take up to 30 days to respond to our e-mail. I would maybe call them every 2 weeks or so, and check on the status?

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you so much for your reply. Did you get a new case number issued after the change? I am a bit worried because both the DS-260 bar code and the cover letter still reflect the old case number. would that be a source of confusion for the NVC? they are tooo slow to fix issues!!
When did you apply for your case change? I applied a week ago, and I received a notice saying that it will take 30 days! I hope it wont take that long!
I am also applying for MTL as my new consulate which accept electronic processing, but my old consulate do not. I am currently waiting on the document submission until I get the approval of the change request so that I can submit electronically. Is that right? or should I submit by mail and save some time?
Thank you again!

Hi guys,
I submitted my DS-260 online just before I realized that my request for consulate change was not yet processed. I am still waiting to here from the NVC about the change. Do you think I will need to resubmit another DS-260 since the old one has the old case number (old consulate letters).
Has anyone been in such situation? How long it takes to process consulatechange requests?
Thank you.

Hi guys,
If an applicant changes his consulate to a different country, does he get a new case number that reflect this change?
Thanks.

Guys any one was put in supervisory review for 42 days? Does it really take that long?
Does NVC keeps a record of number of inquires done by phone calls through beneficiary or attorney?
Thanks.

Hi guys
I called NVC to follow up on my case after 20 days of petition arrival. They told me that there was no action taken so far and the phone operator sent my case to a supervisor and said it would take 42 days to get a reply. Did any one had a similar situation? Is there an explanation?
Thanks.

I have a question,
Are cases typically adjudicated at NVC, and the interviews usually take place just to confirm that all documents are true and genuine? or the consular officer may decide to deny a case after the interview, based on circumstances that were already approved and accepted by the NVC?
Thanks.

You will get a notice about they are done with your case.
Pls. fill out information on timeline etc.
I already got a status change they approved my petition. However, I am asking if I will get another notification as they actually ship it to the NVC.
My timeline is complete so far... I have not started NVC processing yet!
Thank you.

Hi Guys,
Will I find a status change when USCIS ship my petiton to NVC?

Whoever have a recent experience with Nebraska service center,
Would you please let me know how long it takes them to send the petition to NVC?
Thank you.

Congratulations to all who successfully passed their interviews and got their visas.
I wonder how long is the immigration visa usually valid for?
Also is this visa is a one-time or multiple entries?
I am asking because I may need to travel back shortly after landing and before I get the GC in mail.
Thank you.

Marriage Termination Document. (I sent in the divorce certificate, but they apparently wanted the actual divorce order).
No, we are doing it ourselves.
Thank you so much.

Well, tough to say. I've heard it was always the standard 30 days... Our scan date was 12/4. We did get a checklist on 12/18. We emailed the document that same day, and then had an official CC on 1/5. Not sure if we would have had a CC on 12/18 if they had the doc they needed.
Oh that makes sense then.
May I know what items were requested in the checklist?
Do you have an attorney?
