Uh already asked this but? Have you tried the CEAC tracker and what does it say???
It indicated that the case is on the way to the consulate (if anything, the embassy should be getting it this week or the next) which threw me off if suddenly they wanted to retract it for something.

Well can't see how anyone could help or anything on such a purely speculative matter. If you have privacy reasons fine so be it. But no one else will know anything more about your case or what the letter coud be. Anything else would just be subjective speculation which I can only see as counterproductive to your paranoia.
True, I really do wish I could ask for the contents to be confirmed. Though if anything, I was wondering whether a letter from the NVC is a common thing in spite of it being the first time hearing about it. Sorry about the panic. It is just such a sudden occurrence as I was not expecting anything but the Packet 3 at this point.
-
I wouldn't worry. It looks exactly like the letter we got from NVC containing our case number and information again. Obviously I can't guarantee that for sure, but like I said I wouldn't worry.
Oh...if that's the case, thank you soooo much for the reassurance. I'm really hoping that is the case. My concern manifests from the fact that this is the first time hearing that the NVC sends a letter to the petitioner (if anything my mindset was NOA1 NOA2, then PACKET 3 rather than a letter confirming that the NVC sent out the case)

Uh, why didnt she open it? It could just be the pkt3 no? I got mine several weeks after calling for my numbers. I dont recall what the envelope said. Seems like itd be worth her opening vs you panicking for days.
Actually my pkt3 came from consular office. If thats NVC, maybe its just an RFE.
It wouldn't be a packet 3 since I believe the letter would have been mailed directly from the consulate (and Korea does it through emails I believe). Also the NVC site would indicate if the consulate received my case as well and is in the "ready" status or something.
My GUESS is that it could either be some NVC letter I heard about that is sent the petitioner indicating that the case was sent to the consulate along with the case number (though I heard in some instances that some petitioners get this REALLY late or never get it at all).
(Example thread here): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/556541-nvc-letter-for-k1-visa/
OR...since I am a paranoid wreck of a mess,
My FEAR is that it is the NVC sent my case back to UCIS for some reason which would cause some remarkable delays that we cannot afford at the moment. But...that doesn't make any sense to me as the case was already sent out to Seoul and supposedly in transit (albiet it has been more than a week since they sent it but still...). But it seems like this occurs more often in the CR-1 case rather than K1.
(Example thread here): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/400232-my-case-was-send-back-to-uscis-from-nvc-after-noa2-was-aproved/
And in terms of not having my mother open it and tell me...err the matter is private. If you wish to PM me and ask but there's a personal reason I'm keeping the contents for my eyes only.
But...again, maybe I am being super paranoid because it's sooo close to the finish line and my nerves are becoming a bit more tender.

Alright so apparently my mother recieved a letter from the NVC (currently I am abroad so I won't be receiving it for a few days so I am panicking right now).
It looks like this:
I know it is not much, but I cannot imagine why the NVC would send a letter to me and I'm getting really paranoid and stressed out about it. After all, my case was approved by the UCIS in September 30th, and I called the NVC and got my case number 2 weeks ago (as well as them confirming that they sent the case to Seoul Korea. Also the NVC site still indicates that my case is still in transit.). Soooo...what could they possibly be contacting me about? Not to mention the ominous "Return Service Requested" which I cannot find very much info about at all in the K1 Visa section (I did find some interesting comments in the CR-1 in terms of the NVC returning the case file back to UCIS but they already told me they sent the case to Seoul already so...)
Yeah...I'm really freaking out about this. I'm really terrified about the contents as I have to wait a several days for this to arrive from the states.
So...could anyone possibly shed some light on what this could possibly be? Gah...I'm really stressed out as it is SOOOO close.

^It just occurred that this is applies to specific consulates. Please ignore my previous post.

I am also worried about this as I have been employed and working in a foreign country for 3 years (during this time I have met my fiance). However, I hope to return back home with him this Spring and find a job (education). I figured that a co-sponser would be effective enough in terms of having support for a place to stay? I listed my mother as a co-sponser so hopefully that won't be a problem?
I have a bank account back in the states that is still active, but other than that I am not sure what else I can communicate with the consulate. I have been hoping to return with my fiance to the states together once my contract is completed in Korea.

Face time is important, but I'd imagine that they'd be more weary of a long term engagement with only a couple of visits, than a short term engagement with a couple of visits.
Like, it'd be weird for me to have been dating my fiance for two and a half years, be engaged, and only have had face time with him twice. Where as if you just started dating a year ago and only have had a couple of face time together then that looks a little less weird.
This is what interests me as I wonder what they mean as facetime as it is fairly vague for me. For example, I wonder if they look into how many hours/days one spent together consecutively as I have yet to spend a solid straight week with my fiance, but I have been seeing him every other weekend for a casual date and meal for the past few months (not to mention knowing him for about a year and a half so far and me thus meeting him for over a dozen times in person).
It is certainly nervewracking as I have no idea how the embassy is going to interprete this.

Thank you so much for your response. Yeah at the UCSIS level I was more invested in proving that I met my partner within the two year span, but then I lacked investment in exhibiting stronger evidence of bonafide relationship (aside from pics of us with rings and generally spending time together as a couple) as I figured I was supposed to back-load it for the interview process.
There seems to be a lot of positive feedback for the Seoul embassy with the interviews going quickly though I presume that's because most of the couples generally front-loaded more effectively than I did in demonstrating a bonafide relationship with their i-194. However, I was mostly worried after reading the same-sex couple case in the review as it does sound intimidating (we are applying as a same sex couple which I presume is kinda a red flag here in this country? Not too completely sure).

This site has been an absolute treasure trove of useful experiences and information, but unfortunately I must have missed out on the importance of front-loading the petition (focused a whole lot more of demonstrating our proof of meeting within 2 years by providing reciepts, passports, and such) and opted to go for backloading with more photos for the interview process to show more photos in different settings. However, I read that most consulate interviewers have already made a decision and generally do not look at the backloaded documents by going off of the front loaded evidence.
So I am remarkably paranoid that I did not provide more photos as I provided some chat to prove of our relationship starting since mid 2014 and photos from our last two most recent meetings prior to submitting the i-129f as we generally meet every other weekend (currently living in the same country as the petitioner but in different counties. I hope to be attending the interview with him as it is permitted in South Korea). Unfortunately these photos mostly show us spending time together but not a whole lot else (which means lack of evidence of meeting families or a variety of differing backgrounds).
Currently we have been gathering more photos to show how we are maintaining our relationship during the past few months of dealing with the NO1, RFE, NO2, and now the case is being shipped to the Seoul Embassy. But I fear this is futile as we didn't nearly load our case with nearly as much evidence as we could (I believe we included several reciepts including an engagement ring, 4-6 pictures of us together while celebrating our engagement, a few pictures of us at different restaurants, and selected exerpts of skype chats that indicate the date of us communicating).
I really don't know what I should do as I am feeling remarkably anxious about the inevitable approaching interview stage.
Visa Approved! Thanks, heres my what I did and why / how I did it.
