Actually I think this is bad bad news (18 months extension), this will allow time for the Trump administration to finalize their immigration policies and to modify Homeland Securities' computer systems to cross reference other government agencies' computer systems so they can do massive rejects on green card applicants on the slightest hint of improprieties (eg applying for ObamaCare for one), even for existing permanent green card holders, they may be primed for deportation once they are found guilty of something trivial. For existing I751 applicants, it's a good idea to delay replying to your ROEs, beyond 2020 if possible.
