I don't know what their deal is so I will just sit and wait.Maybe they are doing it in the order we got the interview from nvc picobenz..?
-
yeah I just thinking all kind of stuff. Next week will be 4 weeks so I'm hoping for some good news soon.I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with it...but I don't know that.
-
No and senator's office seem to be a joke too. So I just have to sit back and wait. I am wondering if it because came here on a K1 and my marriage didn't last the 2 years? Whatever it is I have no way of finding out. They say a visa takes between 2 to 6 weeks so I'm going to chill for now.So no word from the Embassy in response to your emails?
-
Congratulations... I hope they give you a speedy issue and not hold you up like they are doing my wife's!Hey guys, did my interview today. Got approved! Only thing they asked me for tho was my originals. no copies, no supporting evidence, just the originals. the questions the consular officer asked me were, how long have I known my wife, what's her job, have I ever been to the US, and what date did she enter the US. The worst part was the wait, I got there at 7:30 and left like 11. It seems the numbers they gave you make no difference, as people that came in after me were called before me. This one woman was sent from the front of the line at the entrance for having on make-up and had to rejoin way at the back, she protested and got talked down by one of the securities, more like a threat. they don't play over there, word of advice, be mannerly and humble yourself.

My wife went fro her interview from June 15, 2016, but still no visa issue status in fact, it still says ready!
-
yeah I think my wife will be going to the Jamaica consulate in Cayman next week.Hopefully, one of those avenues that we talked about in the PM will be able to get you some info on what the deal is. I also researched something and may have forgotten to send it...check for the consulate for JA in Chicago (he also represents Indy too).
-
I asked her several timesPlease give the embassy a call +1 876-702-6000 ,please have the case number and or passport number available ,if there is still no response to your email.
Just for sanity ,please double check with your wife to make sure they didn't ask her to provide additional documents she might have gotten nervous n totally forgot to mention it. The lawyer also said they might be waiting on you to submit those documents, hence why they haven't issued ur visa.
-
we are registered with them. Her info is on that website and we logged in there today, and there wasn't anything.Shsl73 is correct, which is what I stated earlier,u dont have to pay for DHL ,please register with the link she provided. They in cooperate the DHL fee in the visa fee,not sure on that one,but you don't have to pay for DHL,you just need to go to the site and register.
-
Yes we don't have anything on that site because she had was to go back to Cayman and pay for the additional service.
-
Yes we have DHL tracking number because when she pay to send her passport from Cayman they gave tracking number for both going and coming backSent you a couple of PM's...check them out. Also, just out of curiosity...you did sign up for the the DHL portion of it to track, right. So once it's issued it can be tracked? Have you by chance just logged into there to see what it says to make sure that there has been no tracking number assigned....

Ok Thank youYour most welcome np.That's a starting point. Please stay on it and pose the question to dwheels am sure she might have some really good feedback as well.Exhaust all ur resources.
-
Thank you very much! Just got off the phone with NVC they said it's out of their hands. They told me to wait until Thursday and send them another email if needs be.In a few people's case DHL was the problem, may nOt be the CasE in uRs,so I would try the other few suggestions.Make an inquiry to the NVC a supervisor if you can get one on the phone, place a inquiry to the DOS as well.If by the end of the month no response, which I doubt will be that long. Then for sure consider getting a lawyer just to craft an email to make and inquiry on ur behalf.I will do some more research as time permits, I will also ask my lawyer tomorrow for some feedback as well,he's more of a fren to the family.
I will try DOS tomorrow.
-
I did some research and this seems to happen more often than not,but DHL is not the problem the embassy is the one that haven`t issue the visa.Create a thread and pose the question there if you haven't already done so. Ok thanks I will pass this info on to her.All she needs to do is get her employer give her a copy of the letter saying she got a permit ....we all get one ..
-
Yes they celebrate every American holidays(the embassy does).I am trying to push some heat but I have read of other people being in the same situation. That's crazy. I don't believe that they celebrate the holiday tomorrow...and should be open. I'm sure you know what your next move is...As always stay on top of it because if you don't, it will sit and collect dust somewhere.

Yes embassy has the passport from June 16,2016. They update it 3 times but still says ready. We have a DHL tracking number for the return to Cayman but it's still at the embassy.Okay. You guys did send her package a way that it could be tracked, right? I might have missed that part....the embassy does have the passport on hand...
Just send another email for them to see Tuesday morning, because my wife needs her passport to show that she is legally working in Cayman,
-
I appreciate you very much, but my wife said the gentleman told her it takes about two weeks and being the she had to send back her passport from Cayman he did know how long. The update it again Friday but still in ready never once go to ap.So...it changed from AP to Ready? A tad bit confused on that one? Thought it would go from AP to Issues. Stay on top of it. The sad part is that there is no number that one can call, well there is but they will tell you that you must submit an email inquiry. If my Monday you don't hear anything...send another email. Then if nothing, involve your senator...the research I have done indicates that they have a "person" that helps with such issues. Make sure that you have everything documented...such as the dates that you've emailed, if you've placed calls..etc trying to check to see if there is am issue or not. I don't think it will come to that but know what your next move will be just in case. For some reason, I read on here that past history with JA starting in June JA embassy tends to slow down somewhat as they begin to process student visas which may very well be the case but who knows. Wish I was there to offer some more definitive answers for you.
As far as the ticket is concerned, I've really not concerned about anymore...I only lost ALL my airline point and will have to rebuild (that might take 200 years to do so). So, even though it was about 400.00 (one way) the grand total for me at check out was 0.00 (winning). A couple of days later I upgraded him for a few bucks (not to first class...didn't want him to get use to that right off???)..but he does he free wine and spirits and checked bag fee..so all in all around 100.00 bucks...I can't be too mad about it. But I'm willing to bet $100.00 says that they go down after this week though.
Stay on top of things man...seeing this thing through til the end with you!! Let me know if there's anything I can do to assist in anyway...
Did you get an answer to your question?
And yeah they still haven't responded to my email.
-
Today is day 4 and they still haven't respond to my email. They update the case again today but it's still on ready. I hope we get thru soon. That ridiculous because there are tons of flights from Ja to Atlanta, there's got to be cheaper flight.Nope...they will respond sooner...at least in the past they have been really good about responding before the 5 days.
And nope he's not here yet..we were still struggling with paying 400.00 for a 1 way ticket but got past that and now just waiting...next month. Your wife will beat him here!
-
Still waiting for them to issue the visa or respond to email. They received the passport and updated it on the 21,June and again on June 27. What could be the hold up?

Is your hubby here yet?Yea...someone else PM'd me and said that they were still in AP too....seems like they have slowed down a tad bit. You know, you have the right to email an inquire. They may give some generic answer but stay on top of them.
