  2. Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to stop in and say hello. Have not talked to you guys in a while.

Has anyone takin their oath ? Mine is coming up this coming Wednesday at 10 am. I hear its going to be long.. and friends that had it here in Boston told me to plan in 5 hours. 5 hours in Fenway Park ? Its going to be boring.

They said it takes so long because its alot of people and it takes 4Ever to have them seated.

Well I will keep you posted after Wednesday.

    Anja

  3. Yea proper attire.. No jeans, flip flops or T Shirts. What would actually happen if I wear jeans..?

So what am I suppose to wear.. should I get my evening gown out ?

Yea ... in the hot T ( thats what they call the train in Boston) trucking away to Fenway Park...

I still dont get it why they have it there.. never been there im my life. . haha

Ohh hmm Tammi.. take the camera and take some pictures

    Good Luck tomorrow

  4. I printed out the flashcards, cut them out and used some glue to stick them on flashcards. That way they are a little thicker. You can also order the flashcards but I think they cost.

I also used the book that you get when you go for your fingerprinting.. but I personally used the flashcards more then the book.. stuck them in my purse and read them whenever I had a chance.

    Good Luck

  5. Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I received my Oath Ceremony Letter yesterday.

I was kinda worried that it would get lost since I have mail delivery issues at my house..so I was very surprised that it was there and that fast.

Well, its scheduled for September 17th at 10 am at Fenway Park.. Yes, Fenway Park.. I am wondering how many people they are going to have there. ..since its at the Park. Since I never been there I think its going to be interesting.

I also rceived notice yesterday from the german consulate the paper is here for the dual part and ready for pickup.

Well my original one actually expires on September 9th so I had to ask for them to send me another one...and ofcourse they asked.. why what.. how come it took you 2 years to do this .. lol...thats the beauty of german laws.

It actually took me 3 times to get this approved.. they told me that my reasons were not strong enough to be dual.

But it was finally approved on the 3 try :)

Anyway I talked enough... hope everyone is having a nice day... and I pray that everyone is soon to be done with thei N 400 journey.

  6. They said its in September.. I just like to know a date since my other paper from the german consulate is running out by September 9th. Which means if I take the oath after I would loose my German Citizenship.

Well I been in touch with the consulate.. they "said" a new document is on the way.. from Berlin..

German laws and rules are so complicated... I just want this over with.. LOL

  7. I had my fingerprinting done in Boston... I dont remember what time I went but there were not really alot of people in there and it went rather quick.. less then an hour I would say - but that was my personal experience.

Now when I went for the interview that was a different story - JFK Bldg was packed and I was there at least 3 hours.

  8. Hello Everyone..

So yesterday was my interview.. and I passed... it was such a piece of cake.

I studied for months for this.. infact I over did it.

I had to write: Today I came to Boston and I had to read: Today I went to school.

I forgot some of the questions they asked me..

What do we celebrate on July 4th ?

What is the national anthem ?

    Something about the senators... ?

and the last 3 I forgot - but they were easy.

My Interview went well too.. They were training someone while they were interviewing me.

I do still owe some Taxes.. but as long as you have a payment plan and prove that you been paying that is not an issue.

Some small issue with my name... since I have an ü in my last name and they used u on my Allien Card but thats going to be fixed :)

I believe my Oath is in September.. I was hoping for earlier since I am dealing with a Dual Citizenship here... and I need to fax papers to the German Government by September 9th.. but I dont think it will be before then.

Thats just a small issue and I just need to contact the German Consulate for that and they can just issue me another certificate.

Overall I was very pleased with the process at the INS yesterday - I expected a bunch of crumpy people in INS uniform there.. lol... but they all were very nice and friendly and made me feel totally relaxed :)

Well I need to get to work now - I will keep everyone posted on my journey.

    Anja
