My husband and I have been together for 2.5 years, married in Cairo in March. And now we are starting the CR-1 Visa Process. Honestly, I am overwhelmed with questions. I just saw that you finally have the interview date - that is wonderful! I hope the interview will be smooth and easy, and hopefully soon you will be together with your family again!
Thank you for the encouragement back in the NVC filers thread earlier this year - it was a tough time, and I had to take some time away from VJ and try to focus on other things.

Yes, I am so happy for Ahmed finally getting scheduled an interview, we just did his medical today. I hope that he gets approved and we can move to the US so soon.

Hi hbanna. How's everything going with you?
Our case completed on March-7. We still have not been scheduled an interview at the Cairo US Embassy. Every consulate/embassy is a little different; so some are very quick with scheduling and some are not. It seems like other's from Cairo, a few months ago were scheduled much faster, so I'm not sure why it seems so slow recently.
After we got case complete we received an email the next day stating our case was complete and that an interview will be scheduled soon. So since then nothing. Once an interview is scheduled they will send Ahmed and I an email stating what he needs to bring to the interview and of course the date of the interview.
I call NVC usually twice a week... I have not called today yet, but will call later in the evening, as last Friday we still had not been scheduled. I figured I'd give them some time. God Willing we will be scheduled soon. I can always request an expedite, but I have no reasons I can provide them that they would even approve such a request. So I just need to be a bit more patient and wait it out.

and it was so easy
consular asked me 3 questions and that's all
and then he said congratulation ,your visa is approved but until now my visa statue says AP
so does anyone have explanation ?
I'm kinda worry

Hi Ibrahim. Congratulations on your visa approval.
Did they give you back your passport or did they keep it? I know several couples out of Egypt took about 3 weeks for their Visa to be issued. Everyone goes on AP; it can be for only a few days, a few weeks.. sometimes months and rarely years. Just keep checking, hopefully in the next days you will find it saying 'Issued'
