My husband and I are currently going through the AOS process and need to file taxes. I don't have a SSN yet and think its too late to apply for ITIN as we'll need to file in the next few weeks. What's the best way to file our taxes for our first year together? Thank you in advance.

I'm pretty sure if your husband is pcs overseas after you get your green card you can apply to expedite citizenship. You should be able to do this to go with him.

I came to visit my partner over two weeks ago and we decided to get married spur of the moment. We already had our NOA2 for K1 visa. Can I cancel this and file for AOS? If so does anyone know which department I should contact?

Received our NOA 2 approval notification just now. I didn't even realise they worked on them on Saturdays. Fingers crossed for more of you getting approvals today.

Thanks for the replies. This has me stressing out big time. I have never self harmed or been a threat to others so do not understand why he just can't write the letter. He stated that he does write immigration related letters for Canada but not the US as he has been advised there are many lawsuits coming from the states.

I therefore got in touch with a couple of private practices to see if they could help but they will not as I haven't been an ongoing patient of theirs.

My only hope is that Knightsbridge will send me for a physc evaluation and not reject me just because of this. I'm considering changing my practice but don't know if its going to help as I will only have been a patient for a month or 2 before needing this letter.

As I've written on a previous forum, I have previously suffered from depression and anxiety. Even though I have not been on medication for sometime my doctor refuses to write a letter stating I am not a harm to myself or others. He says he has been advised not to do this for immigration purposes any longer as this has brought on law suits to practices in the past. Has anyone been in this situation before? Do you think a copy of my medical history will be enough? Any help is greatly appreciated.

After sending our application away it occurred to me that I have sent the wrong size passport photo with it. (UK standard size instead of US) Has anyone ever had a RFE because of this? Thanks in advance :-)

I am trying to get everything I need ready for my medical coming up. I suffered anxiety for a couple of years up until a few months ago. Does anyone know what information the Knightsbridge doctors will be looking for in a letter from my GP?

We received our NOA1 today. Was delivered to Lewisville office on Tuesday.
