Is that all they asked?  I got RFE to show more evidence of good faith marriage - specifically saying that tax returns that I enclosed were not indicative of filing  - so I downloaded transcripts from IRS.  Then I added a lot of documents/photos/ etc.  We don't have joint accounts.

Yes that’s what I got also. They asked for lease documents and transcripts from IRS or health and life policies. We recently started using the joint account since we are buying a house. Do I have to send bank statement from the beginning or just in these last 18 months? I think home title will also help to send right? Do we need to send more photos? What other documents did you send? I was also thinking about sending affidavits from my sister and uncle since we lived with them temporarily. A will might help also right?

  2. For those of you who got rfe, what did you send as proof. I got a notice saying we have joint account but don’t show transactions. My husband pays for all the big bills from his account and I pay the small ones from mine. We use joint as a saving, so we end up forgetting about it. How do we approach this? I am scared if they are not satisfied with the docs we send rfe. What will happen next?

We got a rfe and I’m really nervous because even though we have a joint account , we don’t have transactions. Everything is paid from my husband’s account. We have separate accounts which we pay different bills to lessen the burden. I’m really nervous , what happens if they are not happy with docs we are going to submit for rfe. How do I deal with it?

  4. I am the petitioner for my husband. For the affidavit of support, in the federal tax return what do I put if I was dependent on my parents tax return for year 2012 and 2013. I was a student at this time. In the year 2014 , i had no income since i couldn't find a job. I wrote a letter saying that i do not have tax returns in 2012 and 2013 since my parents claimed as a dependent. In 2014 , i had no income i could not file taxes. Is this letter ok explaining why i don't have tax returns.

  5. My husband has the interview next week in mumbai. How strict is the consulate about the domicile requirement since we are the dcf route. I have been in india since November ending. Here is the list of documents i have for proving domicile

    1) Valid driver's license that has the old address but I recently changed it to my sister's address and i have the change of address proof

    2) I have a copy of the social security

    3) I have a letter from my sister saying that we will stay with her until we get back our feet

    4) i have statements from checking and credit card account

    5) The cell phone account is in my name and i have statements from those

    6) I have life insurance statement with the current address

    7) I also added my name on my sister's lease

Is this enough? Do I need more? Do i need a moving quote? Because I currently have no income and my husband has the corporate office in america and he will ask for transfer only he gets the visa. My sister is the joint sponsor and I only have tax returns from 2012 to 2013. My sister sent her three year tax returns and he more than enough income.

Does it look like my husband will be approved?

  6. So I am doing dcf in India for my husband. My sister is the joint sponsor since I don't have any income. On the form part 6 where it say " Income you are using from any other person who is counted in the household" do I put my sister's income in my 864 form again. My sister already filled her 864 form.

Another quick question. Does anyone know if Mumbai consulate is easy or strict on domicile.
