  1. I wonder,

can anyone tell me about the fact that we have to pre pay for them DHL (I think) to send the visa back. I want to explain this to my husband so he will understand what to ask for. When he sends our packet 3, what is he supposed to say in order to do the pre pay thing...sorry I have no experience with that before and I want to be positive.

Also, he should take our original aff of support to the interview correct?..not send in with the packet 3?

Lastly, we won't be scheduled for our interview until packet 3 is sent right?

    Thanks for responses.

One more --lol---our lawyer mentioned a DS -K supplement form that supposedly most consulates ask for. Has anyone from Egypt turned this one in or is it not required?

  2. Can anyone tell me where I and my sponsor can notorize our affadavit of support. What would be a good and official place to do so? Can this be done at the Post Office by any chance or is there a more official place it needs to be done? I need a positive answer because of the seriousness of the document. Thanks for any help

  4. Would it be possible for my husband to go to the embassy and ask for packet 3? It just seems like it would be faster that way...our case is at the embassy for a week now but for some reason when I emailed about our pak 3 they requested my husband's phone number? I wonder why? Cuz they have the address and it was included in the email I sent also. Has anyone just gone to there and requested one, rahter than all the waiting and miscommunication?

  5. We called NVC today, and they said that yesterday they recieved our case, and that it would go to Cairo in 3 weeks, as well, they assigned us a case number. I was just wondering when my husband is suposed to be on the lookout for packet 3. I notice that many people's cases are sent from NVC to Cairo in one week so I wanted to verify if that lady was correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Sincerely,

    Kristy and Ahmed

  6. ONly about 50 percent of the letters I sent have actually arrived. ANd it is always opened. THat really bothers me....they steal things too...I don;t trust them at all. We stick to things where people do not invade our privacy. It shouldn't be their business to open our letters. What can I say oh yeah Egypt.

  7. I need to understand some things in regards to our Affadavit of Support. I am a college student and will have my Associate's Degree in July. My family has well over the amount needed to act as our sponsors, but I have some questions. Right now I live at home. I am accepted into a university where I can complete my Bachelor's Degree in 2 years. Can I go ahead and move there and work part time while attending college, and attend my husbands interview in August? Will moving to our own apartment change our affadavit of support? I know that while living at home, with my brother, me, and husband the guideline is liek 40 something thousand. But my issue is: If I were to move, would that cut it down to just 17 thousand because it would just be me and him? Or would it still be the same? PLEASE HELP

  8. Hi guys,

I am 22 years old, husband 25, and I will get my Associate degree in about 3 months. After that, I will attend my husband's interview and then return back. I plan to have a nice full-time job by that time. However, my parents make enough and are our sponsor. SO, my husband and I have already been saving up money, and I have all the things already from my previous apartment. I am living with my family now though. SO if in 3 months I have a steady job could I go ahead and move into our apartment and set our stuff up...because we put that he would live in my family home when he arrives. So would that be a possibility or would it just delay and complicate an already neverending process? Would we have to change paperwork or is it an easy thing to do? WHat is your advice?
