How long was your overstay and on what basis were you in the country?

With that being said, has anyone heard of a denial after AP? I'm thinking them keeping my passport is good news, it sure beats being denied on the spot. Any advice or info is appreciated, I know I can't do much at this point.

Sorry but I have to make this all about me. Just checked Status and it says ISSUED (the Visa has been printed) even though we know it hasn't. But now when we go back to Lagos next week to send me off we can pick up and I can leave Nigeria relieved and ready (So much to do). :dance:
Okay back to our regular scheduled programming. Man we are on page 59 on the 15rh day. We are chatty people here. hehe Love it. Debbie is a happy wife. I am telling you.

Well finally status change. We been in READY since interview on April 28th. Approved May 3rd. Dropped off Passport May 4th.
Touched May 3rd, 10th, 11th ( i wrote emails).
Finally today never was so happy to see Administrative Processing.
Should be ready next week when I leave to go back.

Have you emailed the embassy to get clarification. Sometimes the wrong box is checked so you need to check and find out what is up.
I wrote the embassy within an our of my husbands interview asking why what was up and that I was right outside and in the country for the next month. They responded with you are approved please drop off your passport at the collection center.
Sorry for the confusion and frustration.

Hubby did his medical today at the Q life family clinic in Victoria Island. He was asked to pick up result next week Tuesday? Does it usually take this long to get result? Well, I thank God for everything. Interview is right around the corner ?

Congratulations!!!! Never to late to join. It took me a while as well because of my schedule. Making the time and providing good information for others to share is all that matters. There are Wonderful people on this site with valuable information. Thanks for sharing.

Well LinJoe...I honestly don't know. My family tells me that they use to dangle me upside down by my ankles a lot as a baby and then they progressed to sitting me on top of the fridge and yelling "jump"... And I did...(true story)
I think this process has made me a little coocoo for coco puffs. My husband just shakes his head and wonders what I'm going to say next...
Seriously though...life is short, time is precious...why walk around looking like someone took the last donut? Laughter is good for the soul, no matter the situation. And this, along with other everyday stressors...we all should be able to step away with a smile...don't you think? Who wants to go to bed with their face puckered up like they sucked salt all day...imagine the image you'd see in the mirror when you wake...(no selfies please).

I don't know the actual answer to your question - but I see you had to submit your certificate again because they lost the first one. Maybe the "L" stands for "Lost"!!!!
Anyway, take a copy with you to the interview just in case they lost it a second time!

It's like this I tell people. Your casefile goes before you ad in the hands of the embassy a month or so before you ever even show up. What do you want in that CO's hands to make a decision.
Sending extra evidence at NVC isn't compulsory. It's called side-loading. many use it like I did because after I filed my petition I came to Nigeria to stay until after Interview. I wanted the embassy to know I was her. Had already been here 2 months when AOS and IV was sent in.
Also I have helped and advised folk who sent absolutely nothing with their I-130 but a marriage certificate and yes got approved. So went sent more evidence.
Yes take evidence to interview but there is no guarantee any of it will be asked for to see. I have seen too many people denied at interviewed who provided bare minimum in their petition package hoping to show what they have at interview and were denied or in AP because the CO didn't see nothing there.
It's all about your individual case and your embassy. Canada, UK, Australia is not Nigeria, The Middle East or Jamaica.

They do they homework. Why s t one person's Facebook is scrutinize down to "Seems you created a Facebook page just t appease immigration.". This was said to someone I know because they don't talk to no one but each other. N one else post, comments likes.
I have known of CO's who went and checked what name you use to create that Yahoo, WhatsApp, Hotmail account. I known friends who had field agents sent out. Even Ice agents coming to the petitioners home in US before interview.
II know my 393 pages with my I-130 matter but I truly believe the extra evidence showing I am here and living with hubby and hubby saying at interview I am still here. Sealed the deal. No evidence nothing of the evidence and albums he brought was even asked for . She said she had everything she needed we submitted everything they needed and wanted I know my embassy and Lagos loves pictures of family and Phone logs.
