We sent in the paperwork requested on the 221g on the 20th. Checked today and it looks like they touched our case. Really hope we find out soon the final answer.

They probably were k1 visa. Cr1 out of Nebraska is around 5 months. I got mine in 4 months 11 days. Calling them will not do a damn thing. Every case is different with time frames, your 2 friends cases are not your case. You need to humble yourself when people help you. What will you do when you get to interview and your put into AP? Wait the 5 months like everyone else, be patient. It's a year process for a cr1. ..chillax

Thank you very much for your detailed info. Now we are going to prepare full front loaded application for USCIS. I do have some more concerns. Do affidavits need to come from the people who attended wedding? Her relatives in US couldn't attend the wedding.

The affidavits I gathered state they acknowledge our marriage and the immigrants character. We sent one from my daughter to usic. I suggest you send more than this from both sides but you can send it to nvc with your packets.

You really only need to send what they ask I sent maybe 10 pictures of the wedding. I wrote a cover letter about relationship. Make sure you send exactly what they ask. Include english translation with any document not in english. Proving domicile and bonifide marrige is important.

You want to send the bulk of your proof to nvc if you want to front load. Things get lost. This way you can write your case number on top so they won't loose it. We sent to nvc with packets all our skype logs, emails, pictures from 3 trips, name change, family book for husbands country, facebook screenshots, skype pics from 4 years. Just cut it down to a reasonable size

I would suggest you get some notorized letters or affidavits to prove bonifide relationship. It's hard to have property together and accounts for some people. Send a sample of your wedding pics etc. Give them a glimpse into your relationship

We front loaded the majority of our proofs to nvc. We wanted the officer to have these prior to the interview. If you have any age difference or red flags you should do this. Also some embassies are harder than others.

We submitted one affidavits at uscis and our petition was approved. we got to interview and now they gave us a 221g request for evidence. They want more proofs of bonifide marriage. So I'm getting more like affidavits, our wills, proof of the paypal account we share and the debit card. Also more proofs of domicile.

Definitely send it..... you will need it and I hate for you to be me. Good luck

I would follow your countries regional forum and see what you're facing. Nigeria is a tuff embassy.

I'm 12 years older and they gave us a hard time. Been with him 4 years married one. I had all our proof front loaded. Now they want more bonifide proofs that it's a real marriage. So make sure you have good evidence. I added him to car insurance, paypal debit card etc etc. Hopefully this and affidavits will work

they haven't touched it since his interview. We need to submit more documents. Any clue once we submit them, do we also go through the security checks or if we are in it, are they doing them also while waiting for our stuff. I'm hoping once it's in, they make a decision soon.

Yes at 9:47am got this email. Hubby is leaving in morning to take that longgggggg bus ride to Lagos. We don;t even mind. WOW all the planning can start now. I am so happy. Thank you God and Thank you Lags embassy.

I am so sorry about your interview today. Yes! Facebook is like a big thing for the embassy's now. Did they keep his passport? Get everything they are requesting and send it to them. I hope the visa gets approve soon.

Yes they did, my family facebook has my husband added and our relationship for 3 years now but they found an old one I didnt use for years. Hopefully we won't be in AP long after I submit evidence.

Yes and it's an old account. I gave them my new accounts and showed them our pics on there. Now I will have to show my family is on it I guess. I updated the pic and changed me to my new married date when I went in to get admin privilege in old groups. When I put the marriage I put 2005 not 2015 cause I was doing it quickly. The month and date were correct just I saw the 5 and didn't double check. I can't link my husband cause he is linked to the one I have used for luke 3 years.... sigh. Just gonna give them what they ask and pray

My husband had his interview and got ap. The man told him to send in the info we need so it's not sent back. Apparently when I put my marraige info on old facebook I don't use, I messed up the year. I thought I put 2015 but I had only changed the month and date. Now they want proof I'm not married to someone else. #######... im legally divorced to my ex since 2014. Plus I sent my divorce papers and that facebook was abandoned in 2014. I feel fustrated, now they want financial records from my ex husband? I guess I need to send my apartment lease, maybe his mortgage to show I'm not on it. Idk...

the date they recieved case really doesn't matter. What matters is your scan date , so once you pay fees and send that in... u can call and ask for scan date and count the 30 days. Good luck and thank you... hopefully I return with good news

And emailing documents, They seemed to get a cc quicker than the ones mailed in so it won't be long after you email them.

I would worry more on what's your scan date and what you need to send them. The clock starts once you send packets in after you pay fees.

Aos is also the name of the packet we sent in to nvc prior to interview for a cr1 visa. So not sure why everyone is so confused, there are 2 kinds and he said i864 it's the rest of you that said adjustment of status.

You asked about AOS...adjustment of status. Hence the confusion

aos also stands for affidavit of support so technically He didn't and he provided the form number

Has to be 3 times the amount needed and some embassies don't accept assets. Also needs to be like a second home, car or cash that xan be liquidated

So 2 people will need about 60,000 in assets if not using income. I would find a backup co sponser
