  2. Sheryl has passed her medical and completed CFO counseling. :) Is it possible to have butterflies for 6 weeks straight? I'm at 2 and a half weeks now since we got an interview date.

I'm right behind you on that one.. I'm counting each passing day now till our I-DAY  ...I'm flying on April 13th to be with my Honey for his interview on April 16th..I'm hoping that my jetlag will be gone by then...Any helpful tips/advice about jetlags that you can share with me? :help::star:

    Thanks

    (^_^)

  3. It is advisable to be consistent with the answers especially if your ITR (Form 1040) and W2 report the part-time job.

You are a fitness dance instructor! How fun! Do you also teach ballroom dancing?

Thank you Ate PW for your sensible response...

*ehem, off topic* Yeah, I'm a part-time ZUMBA dance instructor and it's one of the coolest job in the world that a person could have..I lost about 65 lbs. with it that's why I love teaching it.It's a Latin-based work out full of salsa,Merengue,HipHop,Bellydancing,Tango,Samba,Rhumba,etc.. I even do our very own Tinikling dance in my class and my students love it! I wish I can do ballroom dancing but I'm not good in dancing with a partner coz I tend to lead sometimes and doesn't know how to follow  *sorry for the off topic*...

  4. I'm a full time IT geek by day and a part time fitness dance instructor at a local gym in my area at the same time.I've included informations from both jobs when I filled up my G325 Biographic form for our K1 application..A few months have passed and I am now preparing an affidavit of support for my fiance and I'm thinking of using only my income from my full time job.I believe I've met the income requirement with my main job and it will be a little hassle for me if I try to combine incomes from both jobs because my part time job earnings is not consistent. It's my fun job, something that I do to make the lonely nights fly faster  ..Will this be a potential AR for not enough/conflict of information? As a backup,I have a letter of employment from my part time job as well but the fitness director only indicated my per class rate in it.I will also send it to my fiance together with the rest of the I-134 paperworks. Let me know what you all think.. :)

Thanks for all your help

Goodluck to all February interviewees!

  8. I agree to that too  !! Thank you so much Sheriff Uling and PW for all the information that you are continously sharing with all of us..

PW, I have a feeling that our interview will be around the same time. I hope you don't mind if I add you to my friend list :)

My honey received his pre-interview letter yesterday and he's really excited !! Each passing day is a step closer for us to be together.. the best of luck to all February batch and to all my fellow vj'ers as well.

  9. I called Manila embassy last night and spoke to a very nice and helpful lady at extension 5184.. She was very patient with me and I was very satisfied with all her answers for most of them seems to be true :) .She assured me that my packet is at their location and that it is in good hands. No interview date set up for us yet..it's still too soon anyway. I wish I'll know who that lady was so I can send her a thank you card or something :D ..it's very hard to find a person who's as helpful as she is when calling the embassy.

I have a question about I-134, can it be typed, sign, notarized & dated or the whole form has to be handwritten with blue ink? I read over at the other thread that someone's visa was delayed because their consul didn't accepted their typewritten notarized I-134. I was planning on typing my I-34 since my handwritting is not that good and it'll be notarized after that.

    Thanks!

  10. Yeah he'll have to pay again. He can apply for the EAD at the same time as he applies to adjusts status (I would imagine). I don't think that an EAD based on a K-1 Visa would be renewable.

My sister recently switched jobs. Her last day from the previous one was Dec. 8, 2006. She will start working for the new job on 1/2/07. Is it OK to file for AOS now since they need to submit an Affidavit of Support as well?

  11. Kayz,

Your brother-in-law apparently applied on the basis of being a K1, his card is good for his duration of stay as indicated on his I-94. He did pretty good to get 30 days!

EA on the basis of being an applicant for adjustment of status is good for 1 year. You write that your brother-in-law has not yet applied for adjustment of status.

    Yodrak

My brother in law received his EAD card today and it says valid from 12/22/06-1/28/07.. for 30 days only !?!?!?. He came and got married on October but he hasn't applied for AOS yet. I thought EAD is valid for 1 year after applying. Is this some kind of a mistake when they processed his application?

Is EAD renewable? He's going to mail his AOS next week... Or he should have filed for AOS first before EAD...

  12. ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!

  13.:dance: A great belated birthday gift for me..I called NVC today and was informed that our packet left for Manila Embassy on Dec. 22nd..:dance: ..I'm extremely happy with all the little updates that I get about our case. One small update is a big step closer for us to be finally together.. I'm hoping and praying that things will go well with our case as well as for all the rest of my fellow Vj'ers.. Hang in there! :)
  14. Kayz, I see you have your Manila case number already. I'm not calling NVC until after the holidays, I'm too busy to call them hehehe. They made me wait 20 months so I will let them wait this time around :P:D

It's looking good for nos. 66~71!

Hahaha!! I think my lucky charm's working double-time for me lately.. Believe it or not, I only waited 3 minutes when I called NVC to check on my case. I could't believed it either. In fact, I completely forgot to ask about the new case# so I called them again and even when I called for the second time it was pretty fast too! I was on hold for on or about 5 minutes! Incredible indeed..hahaha! For those of you who's curious, I called NVC yesterday around 6:15PM EST. :) Happy holidays!
