the immigration officer at the POE will not give u 6 months entry...he or she will stamp ur passport with either three months or one month depending upon what u tell them

There is no specific set amount, but the general rule of thumb is spend at least the same amount of time out of the USA as in, so another 5 and half months out.

I think you have two options.
Option 1: NVCExpedite@state.gov
Option 2: Beg the Embassy.
Option 1 involves the NVC checking with the Embassy. Option 2 would be you checking with the Embassy.
Write a compelling description of your situation and providing evidence.
