Has anybody gotten this message on the old USCIS website before? I check my account once a day, today it says "It was reported to us that your IP address or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use...."
Same thing when I log in to my account on the old site.
Yes, I started seeing this today as well. I think it's just a glitch since the latest "system maintenance" that was performed over the weekend.
I also received a lot of notifications from the original applications 3 years ago.
It didn't stop until I removed them from the status update page

So this morning, I submitted my N400 Application online. I read multiple posts about filing N400 while waiting on I751 and decided that it is wise to file instead of waiting. My I751 file is in Potomac and they are working on June 2018 cases right now. So I am hoping either I get my 10 years GC before my N400 interview or they both are adjudicated at the same time (sometime next year). Fingers crossed.
Anyone else in the same boat as me?My timeline:
July 2015 -Married US Citizen
Sept 2015- Applied for GC
Nov 2016- Got conditional GC
Aug 2018- Applied for I751 (Houston)
June 2019- Case transferred to Potomac
July 2019- Biometrics Aug 2019- Eligible for N400 and filed online.
We have almost the same timeline but our case was never transferred. As of today I have heard nothing regarding the pending I-751 application, it's been stuck on biometrics completion since last September.
I don't now if it matters, but as part of the N-400 application we submitted a letter requesting to have both adjudicated at the same time. Wait time is still 2 months, time to completion 3 months.

I’m kind of after the same answer. I had my Biometrics 8/1/19 and want to know the average amount of days it takes for the status to change and receive an interview date. My current status still reads we have scheduled your biometrics 🤦🏻♂️

My wife did an early walk-in for biometrics. If I remember correctly, the website updated the same day to reflect that. That was over 2 weeks ago and we have yet to hear about being scheduled for the interview. The last online change was a few days ago when the "Estimated wait time" went from 3 months to 2.

You mentioned ‘we’. Does that mean you guys got biometric for the same day?
in my case I got the appointment date , but still waiting on my wife. So I was just checking to be sure
Didn't really register....
I guess I use "we" because it's something my wife and are kind of going through together. In reality it is her appointment, but I accompany her most of the time. Thankfully only one of us is going through this process

Also got our biotmetrics letter online (first) and scheduled for Aug 8. Awaiting paper notice.
Wondering the same thing -- thinking we need the official notice. Anyone had luck with just the print-out with the online notice and walking in?
You can print it out and take it to the office, its the same thing

I think all the average wait times are so skewed, it's impossible to really tell. Applications that go in with an I-751 still pending do take longer, as do those who file in the 90 day window. The case count and processing times don't separate those from the 'straightforward' cases.
Heading out to attempt a biometrics walk-in later today. It will only make a difference of about 10 days, but more importantly, for the sake of my own sanity, I won't be subjected to the horrible road there in rush hour traffic on a Friday morning next week so here's hoping the officer at the entrance is in a good mood and likes my smile 😂I agree that the average wait times are skewed and are a rough estimates at best. I am, however, curious as to what data you have to support the statement that "I-751 still pending do take longer, as do those who file in the 90 day window" . I don't think that's necessarily the case. Processing times are mainly depending on the respective office that handles the case, number of applicants and backlogs at each location. A combo interview could actually expedite the process for a pending I-751 if a more efficient field office takes over from the main service centers.

hello everyone,

Thank you and have a great day
I used the step by step process and checklist that is posted on the USCIS website.
Every case is different, so people add to that as they see neccessary.
The actual N-400 online application will guide you through step by step and if something is missing on the form it will let you know.

So do I need to be worried that I still can’t find my completion estimate date? Lol. I filed 07/12 late at night. In my current address, I believe my Field Office is Minneapolis MN. I heard they are not the most efficient office.
You can check this website for reported timelines at each field office. I didn't see Minneapolis on the list, only St Paul, MN

After reading about timelines going down, I just checked ours again.
It went down as well. It is now "Estimated wait time" 3 months and "Estimated case completion time" November 2019
That's down another month since last week. No word on the pending I-751 application.

That’s awesome! December 2019 is your estimate? I didn’t see your timeline in the shared table. Could you please update it? If you are getting everything wrapped up so quick, others might have a hope as well good luck!
This is clearly an automated estimate so we will see how accurate it ends up being. Our I-751 is still pending. We sent a letter with the application asking to have both adjudicated at the same time, but who knows if that will happen or not. That could impact the timing.
Other than that, we are fortunate that our local field office is one of the fastest ones in the country. (Raleigh, NC)

Did an early walk-in for biometrics today. We were in and out in about 15 minutes.
The website already updated to reflect this and our estimated time of completion went from January to December.

Greetings N-400 July 2019 filers
We filed online yesterday based on 3-year rule
I-751 is still pending in VSC, no movement whatsoever since biometrics in August of 2018.
Our field office that should be taking care of the naturalization process is in Raleigh, NC.
I was unable to add our info to the spreadsheet. I kept getting the "trying to connect" or "working" message, but it did not save anything

Anyone planning on applying for naturalization this month, even while their case is pending (looking at you my fellow VSC non-transferred filers!)
We are late June filers (VSC) and we plan on applying for naturalization by the end of the month. So far we haven't seen any movement on our case. As far as I know it's still being worked on in Vermont. I plan on asking for both cases to be adjudicated at the same time, hopefully at our local office in NC.

appt de-scheduled notice 7 days before interview
appt re-booked notice 12/17/2018

Officer told me to wait for a notice in the mail about the Oath ceremony, Hopefully that gets here quickly regardless of shutdown. fingercrossed!
Keep the faith guys..
Congratulations !!!
I was wondering if you could give me some insights on the process at the Raleigh Field Office.
We are currently still waiting for my wife's I-751 to be processed, but later this year will be going through the Raleigh field office to handle the N-400 application.
Do you know when and where the oath ceremonies take place? Can you process a name change at the same time? (is is done by a judge or the USCIS?)

Also you need to count all of the days that you traveled internationally, I personally have more that 70 days outside America in different trips I’ve taken for the last 3 years, and I even have more upcoming international trips. Although my window opens in July I won’t apply for citizenship after I recover these +70 days back in my 3 years resident schedule. That’s my lawyers advice.
I would consider educating your lawyer;
Below is directly from the USCIS website:
- Reside continuously within the United States from the date of application for naturalization until the time of naturalization
- Be physically present in the United States for at least 18 months out of the 3 years immediately preceding the date of filing the application

That website is no longer working for new cases. Go back in the thread and you can find the link for the website you should be looking at.
also, if any of those places want to confirm your status they have their ways to, they don’t use the same system as the applicants do. If asked, your extension letter is the document to prove you’re a legal resident, so there’s nothing to be worried about
Not to make this more confusing than it is, but for us the older website is the only one that shows the latest update:
Fingerprint Review Was Completed
"As of September 12, 2018, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number....."
The newer website is stuck on:
August 6, 2018
Case Was Received
"On August 06, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number...."
"Current as of today at 7:27 a.m."
-
Had the biometric appointment scheduled for next week. Since we were going to be out of the country at that time, we did a walk-in the same day we got the letter. In and out in less than 15 minutes.
As far as tracking progress on the 2 websites:
I still had notifications turned on on the "old" website and actually received a note that "fingerprint review was completed..."
The next day the newer website showed the same thing.
Go figure...

Same here. NOA was August 6 and no word on biometrics yet. (VSC filer). Most other VSC filers have received appointments already.
We're leaving the country for 10 days next week, so I called USCIS today and asked what options we have.
We were told that we can check online to see if and when the biometrics appointment letter was sent and re-schedule if necessary.
My online status has not changed for over a month.
Can anyone confirm that it really shows online when the bio invitation letter is sent out?

I-751 August 2018 Filers
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
Vermont filer here. We filed on August 6, 2018 and as far as we know the case was never transferred.
No updates since biometrics in September 2018
We filed N-400 in July and are hoping for a combo interview, which (I guess) means that the case would have to be transferred.
