Hey Eaton,

This is how I took care of it: I created a USCIS account at <https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do>.It should be fairly quick and simple. Then, I added my case number, that which begins NBC*_ _ _, etc. Once one adds one's case (or that of anyone's, really) to one's profile, it will give one the option to turn email and text alerts on and off.

Hey all,

Of those that have had their status changed to 'In Line for Interview' and also filed G-1145 with your application, how many recieved a text/email of their status update? I have not received any

notifications beyond my original Acceptance confirmation.

Mainly curious to see if they "forget" or skip it for some people.

Hi, just curious did the IO asked for the children birth certificates during your interview?

Cutiepie...I have read several interview experiences where they were requested, they would need to be certified copies. I have them ordered for my children just in case I get asked, if not needed i will have them on file for future use.

Yay!...shows me In Line for an Interview as of Sept 9th

Seems like the status change to "In line for Interview" looks to be somewhat random?

L had a 5 hour drive (round trip) for his, so I feel the pain! (Though, they were pretty quick - ess than 15 minutes!)

The only saving grace is that hopefully i'm looking at only 2 more trips to get this done.

I'm lucky to live only twenty or so minutes away from Boston, via train. The nearby station is a nice, brisk fifteen minute walk (basically in a straight line), and as far as the Biometrics centre went, it's a street away from North Station when I arrive in Boston.

When it comes, even the interview location at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building is only one subway stop away when I'm there. The joys of living in a city (I grew up in a rural area of the UK).

I guess i shouldn't complain...I would much rather drive that distance than live in a big city. Population where i live is right around 2000 and that's plenty for me...lol

Wow, 7 hours? I guess we are very lucky, the finger print place is about 7 minutes away...

I guess that's part of living in a rural area..lol

I noticed your Field Office is Forth Smith, Ar. I had all my biometrics appointment in that office as well. It is a 2 hour drive closer than Kansas City (interview will take place) from where I live. I had my fingerprints done last Tuesday and it was a breeze. My appointment was @ 12pm, got there 11:40 and was out by 12pm. I'm very much satisfied with their service.

I was as well, everyone there was curteous and friendly. I was actually amazed a Government Office could be that way...most times it seems the employees don't want to be there but that is not the case here.

Fingerprints are done! A 7 Hour drive for a 40 minute appointment, at least i got in and out before my actual appointment time.

Now I wait for the next letter.

Hello all...recieved my NOA today...Notice date 8/12 and Priority date 8/10, check was cashed 8/13....would appreciate an update...Thank you!

Funny! I received a text & email last night around 10:30pm to let me know they received my application.

Check was cashed this morning!! ?

Got an email and text message from USCIS that they received and accepted my application. I should expect 7-9 business days to received my NOA in the mail, I'm hoping my check will be cashed in the morning. Way to go guys!

Did you all submit G-1145 along with your application? I didn't.

I didn't receive any text/email. But I do see my check was cashed today. My appl'n was received on 8/5.
