Funnily enough, the lady standing behind us at the check in chatted us up because she was nervous awaiting her N400 interview as well.  That was the question she said confused her most too!  So it seems that this may be a common trend in spite of Nancy being in the news so much.  I agree with you, it's kind of difficult not to know her name!

Hi Everyone!  My husband had his N400 interview today at the Field Office in Royal Palm Beach, FL.  As our I-751 hadn't been adjudicated, we were unsure what was going to happen today.  As soon as he was called in, they both came back out to get me, so I then knew that we were going to have a combo interview.  The officer was very nice.  We were in there for over an hour and a half, with the bulk of the time dedicated to the 751, and only about 20 minutes for the N400.  Once she approved the 751, she asked me to sit in the back of the office so she could adjudicate the N400.  She spent quite a bit of time going through the questions on the form as well as his work history.  We aren't sure why. The test itself was as we had expected.  He was asked five civics questions, which he answered all correctly:

1.  Why are there more representatives in some states and not others?

2.  Name one state that borders Canada.

3.  How many senators are there?

4.  Who is the current Speaker of the House?  (She was impressed that he got that one right, as not many people do!)

5.  Who is the current Vice President?

He was then dictated to write the following sentence:  Columbus Day is in October.

That was about it.  His status for the N400 has changed to "Notice for Oath Ceremony mailed"!  So we're 95% done!!!

Hi Everyone!  My husband had his N400 interview today at the Field Office in Royal Palm Beach, FL.  As our I-751 hadn't been adjudicated, we were unsure what was going to happen today.  As soon as he was called in, they both came back out to get me, so I then knew that we were going to have a combo interview.  The officer was very nice.  We were in there for over an hour and a half, with the bulk of the time dedicated to the 751.  She wanted quite a bit of further evidence since we filed the petition:  the usual bank statements, IRS transcripts, our debit cards from our joint account, bills, and even photos of us together, specifically with family, which we luckily had.  She actually complimented us on how prepared we were.  We were approved!  Then, she asked me to sit in the back of the office so she could adjudicate the N400.  I'll comment on that in the December 2018 N400 forum.  Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.  You'll get there!!!

Hi!  Just to add an update to ours; entered info myself.  Still no word on I-751; N400 biometrics done 1/7/2019.  I-751 case status stuck in sent to local office mode last dated 1/26/2018.

Are you talking about ROC or Citizenship cases?

For what?

No.  I was referring to ROC filed in December 2017.  There have been some January 2018 ROC filers with cases at CSC who have already been approved ahead of us with approval notice and green card in hand.

We filed early December.  Strange how some cases filed later have already been approved.  At least you for sure won't have a combo interview, which takes a bit of stress off.  This is pure speculation, but maybe they'll move our cases through with N400s pending instead of sending them off to the NBC.  Fingers crossed!

I sent only copies of the past three years worth of tax returns with the original submission.  I submitted tons of bank statements with our pending 751, so they already have them.  If they want them, go fish!  I'll bring a few more recent ones to the combo interview, but enough is enough of duplicate bureaucracy!  We can't wait to be rid of USCIS this year!!!

Hi everyone!  I've been doing a bit of detective work and it seems that the September 2017 I-751 filers are now receiving approvals from both VSC and CSC, so perhaps we should see action around April time.  However, those in that thread who also filed N400s a year later (Sep/Oct 2018) had their 751 cases being transferred to the NBC in December instead.  So, for those of us who now have both pending, we need to keep a lookout for our 751s to be transferred around March/April.  *Note that we filed the N400 on 12/12 (priority date same), with bios done on 1/7.

Hi Everyone!  We filed our N400 on 12/4 with a priority date of 12/12.  The biometrics appointment in 1/7.  I am also on the December 2017 I-751 Filers forum as we now have both petitions pending.  Is there any one else here who has crossed over from the other forum?

Hi Everyone!  We submitted our N400 by mail to the Houston Lockbox on 12/4 and received our I-797C NOA1 today.  Priority date 12/12/2018.  We checked our status and they scheduled the biometrics appointment today, so we will be checking the mail for the date to that.  Has anyone joined (or found) N400 Dec 2018 filers thread?  I guess many of us will be following both!
