Got our notice 2/15, card came in today 2/22.  Never got tracking number and it didn't show up in the informed delivery from USPS.  We have just been checking every day in case it came, and it popped up just now.  So about 4-5 business day turnaround which is pretty good from USCIS.

USCIS  mailed my card Feb 15 and we’ve been expecting the card to arrive since Tuesday, yay. Today is the first time we didn’t go to the mailbox as there’s no USCIS mail that appeared in the USPS informed delivery.  Saw your post and read it to my husband. He got out right away and took the mails. He came back and he has a BIG smile!  I’m very happy my I-751 process is over.

I wish everybody here the same luck too!

Hi Everyone! I been seeing so many posts about transfers! I am literally right behind all of you, so I cringe daily that we might hear the same news. I don't understand why the service centers have people wait for almost a year without any news to just transfer a case. Why not do it sooner? Anyway - my main question for all you guys that heard of your transfer or approvals, did you receive notice via text or email if you were signed up for those alerts OR did you just receive your letter in the mail without any notice? I am signed up on the old and new USCIS site for text and email alerts but I still check the site daily to see of any new activity lately. Just curious if the site updated. Hopefully good news for all soon! :)

    P.s. Happy Valentines Day!

I first got a “no-reply” email that says “We have taken an action on your case.” I checked the old website and it says “My New Card Is Being Produced”.  Few minutes later, my husband received a text and an email too that an action has been made on the case and that we should go to the USCIS and check it.

The new website didn’t update until 2 days later.

I’m currently waiting for the letter to arrive in the mail.

  3. Just got an email today from USCIS that they’ve ordered a new card on my case. Very happy because I’m not expecting this anymore as I already applied for N400 last week, February 4.

    Here’s my timeline

The freedom was fun while it lasted! Now back in the game again for RoC. I filed my I-751 today, it should reach California by Thurs 2/8. I used Priority Mail with tracking (it weighed a whopping 3lbs 8oz) cost $16.45.

I've updated this table commonly used below with the two filers who've confirmed. I've asked mods to close another thread with the same title and merge here. Good luck everyone!

  5. Hi everyone, especially to Dweels.

Just an update to our case. I had my interview last January 20, 2016 at 6:15am at US Embassy Manila. Just to have an idea, this is what happened. There are 5 steps in the process inside the embassy.

    Step 1: Biometrics

: I was asked my name and birthday

    Step 2: Pre-Screening

: At this stage, they asked for my birth certificate, police clearance, marriage certificate, CENMAR, and the lady looked at the AOS packet my husband sent me. The lady took some papers out and returned to me what's left.

  6. Hi,I don't remember seeing anyone talking about petitioner's court records, perhaps they confused the terms petitioner/applicant.No,you do not need to bring or will be refused a visa for not bringing them.I'm sure they do any background checks needed on their own while the application is processing.

The only reason I can think of where an applicant's court records are needed is perhaps if there was a previous marriage. They usually ask to see all originals sent during the nvc stage so maybe that's what they were talking about?

Hi, I saw the post in the Facebook group that I am a member. They are on a spouse visa and the beneficiary posted asking about how to get the court record of her husband (petitioner). I got worried coz my interview is near and I don't have my husband's court record to bring in to the interview.

I have previously understand that I don't really need my husband's court record because they don't really ask for it. The I-130 doesn't ask for it and the NVC didn't mention it in the interview letter they sent us.

I just got worried and need reassurance. My husband works 12 hours a day and will have to go across town to get the court record if he really has to, and won't probably make it to my interview.

My husband doesn't have a previous marriage, so I'm praying they will just ask me if I know about his history.

    Thank you for the reply.

  7. Hi. My interview is on January 20. I got worried coz I saw someone posted about the petitioner's court records. My understanding is that if you're on a spouse visa, you really don't need to bring the petitioner's court records to the interview. The I-130 didn't ask for any criminal history. The important thing is I know about my husband's criminal history.

My question is, do you know someone who got denied because he/she (beneficiary) didn't bring the petitioner's court record to the interview?

  8. Yes, your spouse needs to bring the original police certificate and court record (if there's any) to the interview. The police certificate is very important.

hi. I am the beneficiary and I have my police clearance to bring to the interview. I'm asking about my husband's court record. Do I really need to bring it to the interview? The I-130 didn't ask anything about criminal history.

Anyone here who got denied for the spouse visa because the beneficiary didn't have the petitioner's court record at the interview?

  9. We have a joint sponsor who is my husband's father. His dad filed for I-864A and we put in the number of household on his I-864 form only 2. My husband and I. I think it should be 3 since my husband currently resides with his father.

We have same interview date and time! i plan to get my medical on Dec 28-29. What about you? :)

Hi. I've just booked my tickets and hotel to do the medical on Dec 28 and 29. It would be nice to see you there.

  10. We had Rapid Visa generate our I-864 and I-864a for us and they made some last minute edits to the form so we don't have a copy of what was actually sent to the NVC.

We used a household member's income to supplement my income. I think what happened is that we forgot to add the household member to the household size. We put "2" instead of "3"... Me + My Wife + Household Member... Anyaways... we're just going to have to bring an updated form to the Embassy.

I hope its a false checklist like you said but we're not taking any chances ... plus I called the NVC and verified that our checklist is, indeed, real.. The phone operator just said to fill out the entire form again, from top to bottom, sign it and have the beneficiary bring it to the interview along with our other documents.

Hi. Yea. My husband also included a household member and we did add her to the household size.

We are bringing an updated I-864 and I-864A too. Goodluck to us.

  11. We got the same interview date as you at the Manila Embassy... Also we got the same checklist as you about revising the number of household members. Kind of weird?

    Anyways, congrats to us!

Awesome! what time is your interview? :) Mine is 6:15am. Very early

Hi. We also received a checklist regarding our AOS. We placed our son in the "person immigrating with me". Our son is already a US citizen (by CRBA) but first time coming to the US, so we thought this is the correct thing to do. NVC said we need to remove him but don't need to send the corrected AOS form to NVC. I will bring it to the interview. Mine is January 20, 2016, 6:15am.

You were asked to revise the household member. When you reviewed your AOS household member, did you really find an error? Just asking coz I'm thinking can it be a false checklist?

  12. Helloo...

I don't understand why some people here are so eager to find out if their case file has reached the consulate from NVC and go to extreme lengths to find out if its shipped out and keep a track on DHL shipments. Well i dont think anyone needs to be nervous about that its the job of the NVC and there's nothing you can really do in this. Once you are given an interview date its their headache to get hold of your file. Almost every file reaches the Embassy or consulate once you are scheduled. So folks just relax. Best of luck to everyone who have intrrviews coming up.

    Cheers ?

I stumbled upon it somewhere while reading randomly, tried it, and just felt excited coz it works. That's all. I'm not really so eager. I am actually quite overwhelmed as things went faster than we expected.

  13. We received our P4 letter from the NVC and we have our interview date on January 19, 2016!!!

Got our CC email dec 9, 2015.

Hi. We received an email too. omg!!!! (still quite overwhelmed)

    Scan date: Nov 3

Case complete: Dec 7 or 8 (saw the 3 N/As on Dec 7, called on Dec 8 and got confirmation) (got the CC email on Dec 11)

    Interview: January 20, 2016

Thank you Lord for the Christmas gift. Please continue to guide us all with the medical and interview.

  14. Hello. Has anyone here tried to track their cases from NVC to embassy thru the DHL website? We tried today. yay. Our case complete date is either December 7 or 8. We saw the 3 N/As on Dec 7. We called to confirm on Dec 8.

So we tried to use December 8 as the date and we found one shipment to Manila, Philippines on that day! Omg. Wish that is our case. Anyway, we tried also other dates, (December 7, 9, 10, and 11) and found nothing that is going to Philippines.

We found 1 shipment to Philippines for December 4

2 shipments on December 3, and

    1 shipment on December 1.

We used this format EXP 08 DEC 2015A

  15. Thanks Kim. Just the 42 day wait period threw me off. I will call today and put it in supervisor review.

Following it up after the 30-day mark is really up to you. There's the risk. The operator will say it will take up to 42 days. Some really waited that long. To some, it took only 2 to 3 days to a week and they got case complete. Others suggest to call as often as every other day after placement in the supervisor review to follow up. Also, (although we weren't able to do this), we've read somewhere that if they are going to place you under supervisor review, to make sure the operator will place both the AOS and the DS-260 under supervisor review.

We wish you the best of luck.

  16. Hey.... Anyone of 2nd week of november has had case complete??? Its been 35 days since my scan date. I dont know if i should wait or call to put it in supervisor review. Anyone could advise me on this plzzzzz. Thanks

Hi. Our scan date is November 3. We called December 4 to follow up, was placed on supervisor review. Saw the 3 N/As on December 7. Called December 8 to verify and operator confirmed we are case complete.

  17. Hi. Our "case complete" was December 8 and we received an email from NVC telling us that they are now scheduling us for an interview however they also informed us that we need to correct a part in the I-864 form.

    It also has these instructions.

"If your Affidavit of Support form(s) needs correction:
    - Fill out a new form(s) online.
    - Print, sign and send the original form(s) to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the visa interview. Do not send the updated form(s) to the NVC."

Our original I-864 was dated October 1, 2015. With the corrected form, do we follow the original date (Oct 1) or use the current date?

Has anyone experienced this? What date did you use?

Thank you in advance for any response.

  18. I am a US born citizen currently in India. My wife is an Indian passport holder and we have a son who is 1 year old.

I want to apply for a CRBA but unfortunately one expired passport is missing-probably destroyed.

Even without that particular passport, I do complete the requirement for 5 years but the 2 years after 14 falls short by a couple of months. The lost passport was b/w ages 17-27.

Always visited during vacations so no meaningful employment and no other concrete evidence that I can provide.

How do i go about in this situation ?

    Thanks

Hi. We also applied for CRBA just recently. For the proof of physical presence/residence, we supplied these documents

    - income tax returns from 2012

    - W2

    - passport notarized copy

    - birth certificate

    - high school diploma

    - college transcripts

    - utility bills

    - state ID

    - drivers license

    - employment certificate

other evidences we can think of are:

    - credit card statement

    - medical certificates (hospital/clinic records)

    - old pictures

    Hope this helps.
