  1. The reason we sent both together is the local immigrant officer said so. We were researching for the K3 process online, and some questions came up when we were filling out the petitions, so my hubby went to the office and the officer advised him to send both to Texas. I first thought it was weird since the USCIS website states I-129F is mailed to Chicago. He went to double check again, and the same officer said it is okay. I am from Japan and the officer's wife is Japanese also, so my hubby believed the officer knows what he says. We thought it could be a quicker process but actually it took way longer than it is supposed to be. As long as it is not lost, we are fine, but we learned to just follow the USCIS website ;)

  2. Yeah the case numbers are different from one another. Nebraska just told us when they mailed it out to nvc . I had to call nvc yesterday and she told me our case number and verified that they recieved our petition. I would call again and get somebody different. The case numbers begin with 3 letters depending on what embassy they are sending it to. Since mine is being sent to tbilisi my case number begins with TBL 2006 and then the remaining 6 numbers

Also if you just got your noa 2 a couple days ago how did nvc recieve your petition so quick? We were approved on march 23 with our noa 2 and i just found out yesterday that nvc recieved our petition. Are you sure that nvc has your petition already?

We got NOA2 this week, but the notice date was April 3. And I checked the case online and it states that our petition was received at NVC. If they are correct, they should have our petition already ;) Probably we got NOA2 late.

  3. denali_1963, are a case number on NOA2 and a number from NVC the same?? We got NOA2 and my hubby called NVC to ask some questions since we checked online and it stated that ours was received at NVC. The rep who answered him said she cannot help until approved  Was she just mean??

  4. Hello. I am Ravichan from Japan. My hubby in the U.S. and I got married in November last year :D

I am newbie here, but actually I have been a reader here for a long time. We have been applying for K3 and VJ really helps us when we are stuck. People on VJ are very nice and helpful ^_^

Our 129F has never been processed  Hopefully I will be in the U.S. this year... :crying:

  5. Hello euro, thank you for your quick reply!

Well, I am confused now... Once I enter the U.S. with a K3 visa and file Adjustment of Status, I don't have to go to back to my country for an interview right? Or am I misunderstanding Adjustment of Status??? If so, what am I supposed to do to stay in the U.S. and do all the process for receiving a green card?

    Thank you.

  6. Hello. I am new here :star:

We are applying for a K3 visa. Our I-129F is stuck somewhere, and has not been processed yet... I understand that we have to file for Adjustment of Status before I-130 is approved. If I-130 gets approved before K3, can't I go to the U.S.? We have NOA1 for I-130 and our I-130 has been touched once. I am curious how long it usually takes to be approved. My hubby in the U.S. calls them almost every week and has been requesting for our I-129F to be forwarded to NBC, and 4 months have already passed... I am afraid our I-130 gets processed first.

I appreciate your help. Thank you.
