  1. Hi everyone,

Like all of you, I've been awaiting my CC too, and have been checking the CEAC website almost every hour and hoping to see that special N/A next to AOS fee, but it just continues to show PAID, so I've decided to not check the website until Friday....let's see how that goes!! I also am hopeful for that quick CC many are having, getting it after three weeks after their scan date. Although, I'm not nearly there yet, but was hoping to get it before the 3 week mark? haha, I could only hope.

Let's all just be patient and hope for the best. And pray for no checklist....oh God please help us all!

  2. Case approved last sept 3, 2015. My husband recieved our Notice of approval sept. 15 2015 And the letter indicated that USCIS already sent our approved I-130 to the NVC. How can i get my case number? Do i have to call them or mail them? Or they will mail me some papers?? Advice pls. Thank you guys :)

Hi, my advice is to call NVC, first to ask them if they received your case.. and if so, how long will it take them for a case #, most likely they will tell you an exaggerated time frame like up to 4 weeks, which is a lie! The time it takes is around a week to get your case # from the date they receive your case. But please go ahead and start calling now!!

  3. Hi, guys! Just got Case Complete. Exactly 30 days from the scan date. No checklists. I guess we were lucky!

    Yay!! Congrats to you!!!! :)

Congratulations !!! To all the people who got case complete this month i really hope NVC continue on this trend. My scan date is August 21st i hope i will hear something soon.

Yes, I agree, I hope NVC continues with this trend. My scan date is August 31st. Giving them until the end of the month to call them to check on my case status. Ugh.. it is hard being patient! But we can do it!! :)

  4. Would you guys agree that waiting for CC is worse than those who have a CC and are waiting for an interview date? I guess, it is a difficult question since we are not in the shoes of those who are waiting for an interview.

But in my opinion that this stage is more difficult since we don't know if we are going to get a checklist...and if we do, how long is that going to take to get reviewed, and in some cases some people get a second checklist. Ugghh... this is too difficult!!

NVC ... just give us our CC NOW!!!!!!! :crying::cry::crying::cry:

GOD please give me strength, but mainly patience!!

  5. HI everyone! We sent our AOS and IV package and it got delivered to the NVC on September 8,2015 according to USPS tracking. Does anyone know how we'll find out if NVC has received it? Should I call NVC or do they email us? Thanks!

    Hi,

I also recommend calling NVC. That's the only way I found out; even though they have my email address, I never got an email to confirm my scan date.

  6. Yesterday I got CC. Now I have to wait for the interview date in Ciudad Juárez! :D

    Good luck you guys!

Yay! Congrats!! Please continue to keep us posted on when you get your interview scheduled. I have filed for my husband in Mexico too, and it would help me if you can share when you get your interview date, so I can have a more/less of an idea of their scheduling time. Thanks!

It's the n/a under AOS means cc?

    I see 3 N/a after waiting 13 days for a checklist review.

That sounds lke a cc to me :) , nevertheless, you should go ahead an call NVC ASAP!!!! To confirm!

  7. Hi all,

I managed to get the CC yesterday for my daughter too. We called three times and practically begged to speak to a supervisor. My daughter's documents were already reviewed, all they needed to do was to review her DS-260, and it took them only a couple of minutes.

Thank you for everybody here who has been so nice and given me loads of support.

To be honest, I felt kind of ashamed to get a CC so early. I was expecting it some 10 days from now. But I have a theory about what happened: NVC made a mistake on my first name - on August 19, I sent them an email asking them to fix it. They never replied. My husband got a letter from them dated last Thursday (September 3) stating that they updated my address/email - I am assuming this is their way of saying they fixed my name.

So I assume that when they corrected my name, they took a look at my documents and DS-260, and that's how I got CC so early. Who would have thought that a mistake from their part might have made me so lucky.

Anyway, now I am rooting for all of you to get your CCs too. Thank you for everything - this forum has helped me tremendously (L)

OMG! Congrats!! So very happy for you and your family!! Hopefully you get your interview date soon!! Please continue to keep us updated. :)

Just an update: We got our NOA2 approval last night around 10:00 PM from CSC. I am so happy, I hope we can finish this all by Christmas, but just thanking God that we are moving forward.

That is amazing news!! Congrats! Hopefully the NVC stage will be a smooth ride for you. Please ask if you have any questions, we'll try to guide you in what we can. :)

  8. If that's the case I better pack my bags and just make life with my husband at home. I called 2 a day everyday for 8 days+ various calls when I first got there....

... then again I'm still waiting for my scan date email and they got the paperwork on Monday.

My Docs were also received on Monday, and I haven't gotten an email either.... Someone said they just got an email yesterday with their scan date of Aug 26th, I believe the system is just slow. I am guessing we will get our emails by mid/end of next week?

  9. Hey guys so a bit of an update, my lawyer sent out the packet last tuesday to NVC i called NVC a few days ago and they said they still havent gotten our packet. You guys think they are just slow to get to our mail and put it in the system or it hasnt gotten to NVC yet? Was hoping they would have gotten it atleast by now so i wouldnt have to worry about it over the long weekend.

I would give NVC a call, just to have peace of mind... :)

  10. The funny thing is, her case is so much easier than mine...

The Embassy in Brazil is very strict about police reports. I had to hand in 5(!) of them. A federal one and one for each state in Brazil that I've lived (3). And one for the six years I have lived abroad.

This the second marriage for both me and my husband so the two of us had to send our divorce decrees.

I had 110 pages of documents to be reviewed.

My daughter did not need police reports. My husband's income was already approved. I can't understand why everything about her case is so complicated.

    LOL, I know right..

    It's confirmed! A CC!!

    All glory to God! :joy:

That is such amazing news! Congrats to you both!!!

@BRLove I hope your daughter's case, gets CC soon!! I am sure it will, since her doc's were received at a later date than yours. :)

  11. Hi everybody !!!

    A question:

Is the DS-260 filled by the applicant ?? or my husband in USA can fill it for me?

    Hi,

Yes, your husband can fill out the form for you... he just has to have all the information it is asking, he will need all of your personal information including DOB and Addresses of your parents. Go to the website http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_Visa_Application.html and download the sample form, and go over all the questions it is asking and provide your husband with the information. :)

  12. I have been checking the CEAC website about twice or sometimes three times a day, I have been seeing some people getting CC around 20 or 21 days....I even seen someone get theirs on here a couple earlier than the 20 day mark. I already checked today twice. Funny enough, I was just about to go to bed, and I decided to sign on to the CEAC just to check and to my surprise OMG......OMG.......3 N/A's IN 17 DAYS.....WOW.....I'm going to try to see if I can get through and call them. So it's a fact it can change anytime.

That is amazing news!! Congrats!! You have no idea how much hope you give us all!! Hopefully the trend continues 15-21 day review, and for all of us to get CC soon! Please let us know when you get notified for the interview date! I also want to thank you for having such a detailed Timeline, as it helps us all!! :)

  13. Good Morning, Everyone.

How long after you paid the IV fee did the DS 260 open up and did you receive an email about ?

Also a rep confirmed on Monday my packets were received but I haven't gotten an email- should i call back?

    Hi and Good Morning!

BTW, I also was wondering the same thing. I called NVC on Monday afternoon, and the rep told me that the doc's were scanned that day. So, I too, was hoping for an email stating that the docs were received or scanned into the system with the date on there.

But, I guess I shouldn't rely on that, since I haven't gotten any emails from them at all, even when I got my approval (NOA2) from USCIS, I had to constantly be checking the status online to know that it had gotten approved. In any case, we were both told that the docs have been scanned to the system. :)

Now, we just wait for CC..... hopefully no checklist!!!!

  14. Lol I'm just gonna monitor this AOS fee, but I'm guessing the other two N/A's are already there

The other 2 N/As are AOS and IV documents I believe. They've been N/A all along.

Ah! Ok! I was under the assumption that the N/A under the AOS and IV Documents had to change to something like "docs received"

Glad you guys tell me, because I was going to call NVC to see why it keeps saying N/A, if my doc's were already scanned into the system.

OK, so we only have to keep an eye on that 3rd N/A !!! If we waited, over 5 months on getting NOA2, we can handle a few weeks for CC... right???? :crying::crying::crying:

  15. No they do not. They stay N/A I believe, mine have been like that since beggining of NVC.

Oh ok. I keep on going on the website to see if they changed from N/A to something stating that they were received.

    Affidavit of support fee...PAID

Affidavit of support documents & financial evidence...N/A

    IV fee...PAID

    IV Application...COMPLETED

    civil documents...N/A

Just waiting for that Affidavit of support fee to switch to N/A

    Why is that?

  16. I hope they don't think i stopped caring!! Vajaster has the right idea, maybe to keep the case always on their minds.

Umm... I am unsure if you are being sarcastic. But, if you are not, I think it is best to let it go...and call maybe once a week? I remember when I was in the first phase, waiting for NOA2, I didn't call at all, until I surpassed the 5 month processing time, they had stated on their processing time website. And the next business day, I got my approval!! When I called, the rep said, "this is your first time calling, isn't it?" I'm like...yes.... So, I assumed they do keep track of our calls.

In any case, we are entitled to call as many times as we wish :)

  17. my wife is my petitioner sponsor and its different household, i am talking about my father in law (my co sponsor) who is filing the form now and combining income with his son and wife under the VA benefits, i think I will check number 3 with (1) and number (4) with (1) then leave section 7 (0), then my father in law household size including me will be 4. what you think?

Oh ok, I misunderstood. Yes, if this is being filled out by your father-in-law, then yes. So it would be item #1 (you), item #2 (your father-in-law) item #3 (your mother-in-law) and item #4 (your brother-in-law). :)

  18. Yup ... hoping for that 20 day review time (in case expedite is denied)

On another note lol I call NVC (and actually speak with them) at least 2-3 times a day. I honestly don't know why I do it lol

    Hahah! That's funny! :D

I actually miss calling the nvc twice a day... must be the catchy music! :D

Just checking once or twice a day on ceac as opposed to every hour. . I hope they are thinking about me

Yes, it does have a catchy tune....I get so used to it when I call, since I am waiting for more than 30 minutes, that when the rep answers, they catch me off-guard...and I have to remember why I called them in the first place. lol

  19. my father in law is my co sponsor, he is combining his income with his wife and son so both of them are filling I864A, our household size is 4 including me,

on I864 Part 5 : Sponsor household size when he added (2) on section 7, it maked our household size 6 wich is wrong, how can this be done?

find attached a screenshot of this part 5

Hello, based on the screenshot you are double counting yourself. If I am not wrong, I believe item # 1. is the person being sponsored, which is you (the spouse). So in this case you would have to remove the "1" from item #3 "married" Also, you entered "1" on item #4, which is children....you would only enter a # here if you have any children. Based on what you previously said, it is only You (beneficiary), your spouse (petitioner), and your in laws, which equal the four, am I right? So, you would have to remove that 1 from item #4 as well.

Hope this helps! Again, my advice is based on what you said, about being a total of four in the household (you, your spouse, mother-in-law, father-in-law). Please double check that item #1 is the person being sponsored, because I am just guessing, since it is getting the information from a line item you put in Part 3 (which I am unsure what it is).

  20. Hi everyone,

I just want to wish you all the best this new month!! Please share any updates on your cases, and please, please, please fill out your timelines, as it helps us all, for statistical purposes.

A brief update on my case: at this point, I have done everything...from paying the fees to filling out the DS-261 & DS260 and sending the (AOS/IV) packages. All I can pray for is for no checklist and for a quick CC. But, based on the timelines of others, who have their spouses in Mexico, it is taking around 2 months for CC and another 2 months for interview.....sigh...

May God continue to bless us all in this journey!! (F)
