  1. Hello Feb filers...... Just a little up date, I finally got my DS-261 review on the phone. I pray that the IV fee and DS-260 become available soon for payment and filing. Have a bless and provocative day/week.

Very cool!!! Now you should gather documents to answer the DS-260 questions here's a link to a sample of the questions that come in the website http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_Visa_Application.html click on the PDF to download or view. It helped me a lot to prepare for it and do it quite fast! Also start gathering the documents to send over to NVC!

Original and photocopy of petitioners long form birth certificate (not an abstract) and applicants birth certificate. Applicants with non-English or non-Spanish birth certificates must submit a notarized translation with the original and a photocopy.

Cool! Welcome to the Feb Forum! You should also join us in the September NVC Filers here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/563949-nvc-filers-september-2015/page-51 We try to post on this forum everything about our cases that are now at NVC. When you get Case Complete date I encourage you to share it in October Interview forum the http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/563956-october-2015-interviews/page-102 so DWheels76 (VJ member) adds you to a spreadsheet that shows everyone's case complete date to interview date so everyone can have an idea of how long it takes to get the interview date from your CC date.

As for the English certifications, I personally did have them done when I sent them to NVC, but they are not required at the Interview. I didn't have anybody translated, I decided to do it myself. Hopefully they don't mind seeing your Police Cert in Spanish. I read you didn't send it in the original package...but sent it shortly after...did you also provide a cover sheet with your Case Number when you sent it? I wish you luck and hopefully you don't get a checklist and get your CC pronto!.... please keep us updated on your NVC journey! :)

  2. Every time I call NVC I get hung up on because they are busy. Help?

You have to continue calling, there was a time where I had to call and hang up about 100 times! Or, try calling towards closing time...they close at midnight Eastern Time, or early in the morning. Hope that helps! Would you kindly fill out your timeline, as it helps us all. Thanks!

My scan date was August 31.just called they confirmed my cc date was September 22

    Cool!! Congrats!! :D

  3. Mailed it express yesterday, USPS shows delivered this morning, so perfect! Ahhh so exciting! Just praying there's no checklists!

That's great! But, I was wondering don't people who are filing in Canada have to do the submission of the documents via Email? Or is it only certain people who have to do it via email? Nevermind, I saw that people filing in Canada can chose to either do it Email Processing or Mail. :)

  4. So I finally got through to NVC and the representative said it will take 35 days from the approval date for them to get the files in their office and that it was not there yet. How do I determine if my file has left CSC yet?

Hi, normally the USCIS.gov website states on there when the file has been sent to NVC, Go in there and click on "check your case status" (if there are no glitches) it should say "Case sent to Dept of State (NVC)" and it should give you a date when the case was sent. There have been people say that their status never changes on there, if that is the case, I suggest calling USCIS to know when it got sent over to NVC. :) Hope this helps!

  5. Hurry up NVC. ? My documents were received since August 31st , thought I would have heard something by now but still waiting. Based off of others CC dates I should be hearing something soon. Just hope all this is done in time for my husband birthday on November 5. This journey has been long enough.

Hang in there! I'm sure you will get CC before of the end of the week! NVC is getting more efficient on getting through the docs sent to them.

My moms case got complete last Monday 9/14, Today we got an email for the Interview schedule. It will be on 10/13.

Thanks VJ members for all the support!

And for those who still waiting... Wishing you all a better days to come!

Wow! That's such great news !! Congrats!! How exciting for you to soon be with your mom!! :)

  6. OMG! God is so good! All praise and glory goes to God

I got the p4 interview letter today, for October 13th!

Haven't confirmed yet with NVC cz line is busy but this is just incredible news to me!

NO freakin way!! :o You are on a roll!!! Just like you said... it is Incredible News!! Hope you get through NVC and have them confirm. :D I am happy to hear this news from my fellow Feb filers! All the best of luck to you!!

  7. HELP my fellow Feb filers!!!!!!! I called NVC and was told for some strange reason my case is locked!!!!!!! He then told me to pay the AOS fee and full out the form, i told him i did that already and its still showing paid. He then suggested that i summit some form online choose my agent, state my reason etc and the IV will be available to be paidetc..... help I'm so confused!!!!!!! Could it be the reason for my case being lock the result of them releasing the IV to be paid hence my 15 day to review is on Monday? Thanks in advanced.

Hi BHSMama, by looking at your timeline, I noticed that you paid your AOS Fee, and you already filled out your agent form (DS-261). It could be your case is "locked' for the reason that the IV fee is to be release on your CEAC website to be paid, therefore, giving you access to the DS-260. Try logging in at a later time to see if it shows to be able to pay it. Please don't get worried.

If I were you, I would get ready to get all the documents to fill out the DS-260. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_Visa_Application.html Here is a link to download a sample of the application, it really helps downloading it, and pre fill it out so you can quickly do it, when it is available to you. Best of Luck!

  8. Thanks everyone!!

It was soooo hard to not check yesterday. I actually went to the site and had to stop myself from logging in. I was at my desk crying ,laughing and thanking God when I saw it- thankfully I'm the first one that comes in. I completely blanked on what I was suppose to do. I couldn't think of anything but asking my VJ friends if it's real.

It finally feels real. :joy: :joy: :jest: :jest:

Haha, I know!! It was difficult, I gotta confess, I was on the phone last night calling NVC for updates, but then hanged up because I felt I was cheating myself. I decided to occupy myself on other things, glad I didn't continue with the call, because I couldn't be happier waking up with this amazing news!! :joy::joy::joy::dance::dance::dance:

I am waiting for CC. Its been 15 days since NVC scanned my case file. This week I heard few people getting their CC within 21 days. So I am hopeful that by Wednesday next week I will get my cc. By the grace and power of God. I pray that your interview will go well and you we get approval. God be with you.

Hi, have no doubt your CC is coming next week! Praying for all Feb filers to get that CC soon!!

  9. Congratulations to you both! Hope you get interviews quickly, too :)

Congratulations! Such a happy day to hear 2 CC from you and kamw. Thank God! :D

Hopefully both of you will get your interview scheduled asap!

Whoohoo! glad to hear you've joined the cc party!! Now we wait patiently for the interview!! :D

Thanks so much guys!! It means a lot! I love that we are a very supportive group!! :D Blessings to all! And Yes, now to wait patiently for the interview.

  10. Congrats to everyone who has gotten their case complete. We are all really close to be with out loved ones. I got a quick question. What website do you enter to see if their are N/As?

Hi! This is the website https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx You will need your Case # and Invoice ID # to log in.

You will see 2 N/As right away, under the documents column (IV and AOS), and to check out the 3rd N/A (which indicates case complete) is next to the AOS Fee. It would have to change from PAID to N/A, that's when you know it is case complete. Hope this is clear. I attached a screenshot of how it looks like

  11. Holy mother of NVC I think it worked... I'm freaking out. I have to call them.

I have 2 n/a under AOS and 1 under IV-is that what a case complete looks like?

I am happy to share this happiness with you, since I too got my N/A!! OMG!! I just cried!! I couldn't believe it!!

I gotta confess, I was about to go into the website yesterday, but I determined that I wasn't going to until today! So, as soon as I saw your post about the N/A this morning, I did the same and cannot be happier to see that beautiful N/A. :D

We were blessed on having our CC before 21 days!!! OMG!! Definitely grateful to God, for such exciting news and thankful to all of VJ members for all their help!

Just one step away from our Loved one... the INTERVIEW!!! :joy:

  12. Hi Everyone, I am new to this board. After reading a lot of cases being at the nvc stage, I wanted to see if anyone has the same status as mine. So I filed my i130 in February and still havent recieved approval. I got an update on August 28 that my case was recieved at my local uscis office. Has anyone recieved the same thing?

Hello... well if I'm understanding correctly, you filed your I130 in February, and haven't gotten approval (NOA2) from USCIS? Have you called USCIS to get an update on why your case was transferred? I know there are people in this forum whose cases were transferred to other offices, but I'm unsure as to why. Try calling USCIS to get an update and get a better understanding of what is going on with your case, you can even ask to get an appointment with an officer at a nearby USCIS office. But, I would call USCIS first. Good Luck!

  13. BE STRONG..

i just got to work and my morning routine includes checking. Was just about and remembered I'm trying to wait until Friday. This is tough. I have 0 self control.

    CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! :joy: :joy: :joy:

Haha! I know it is difficult!! Since, I work in front of a computer 8 hours a day, and I am just so tempted on going to the website and check almost every hour!! But we gotta be strong! Only one more day....if we do continue to see PAID, well..we can just pray for an N/A next week, and be thankful to have gotten this far. Hope you have an awesome day!

  14. Weeee, it is confirmed. Case complete today, 21 days :D

OMG!! I cannot be happier for you!!! Congrats!!! You are making me want to check the CEAC website now!! LOL! But, I am short from the 21 days....so I will have to control myself and not check it yet.

You have been such great support in all the forums I see you! :) Please continue to keep us updated!! Time to celebrate!!!

I was under the impression the date on the letter they sent saying they received the documents was the scan date.

For me, I send my documents on 8/17 and it was received on 8/19. I received a letter from the NVC on 8/21 but the letter said they received my documents on 8/19 and to give them 30 days to review it from that date.

Ok, in that case your scan date is 8/19, if that is the date the letter indicates your documents were received :)

  15. Good luck on practicing self control... lol I will check once or twice a day until I hear more case complete reports come through on VJ.

Yes, it happens when people forget to sign out and close the browser from the previous session.

LOL. Yes, self-control! haha. It is difficult, although I have the feeling that Friday it will say the same thing.. PAID! .. we shall see.

Thanks MsJC, I sent it USPS express and tracking said it was delivered on Monday Sept 14th. I may call them tonight to see when it will be scanned...Btw, everyone and their spouse should visit the mountains of Chiang Mai, beautiful! Ok, will keep everyone posted about the case.

Cool! Then, you shoul start calling now. Your scan date definitely should be given to you by latest Friday.

It was kinda hard for me to not check it everyday, but I managed to do it by preparing stuffs for interview and focusing on my everyday work. But my husband became my questions target. I kept saying to him, "when would we get our CC?" "wonder when?" When when when when. Lol. Sorry hubby. But anyway, you can do it! Good luck! :D

Yes, it is difficult, but every time I see PAID, I just get bummed, so I'm just going to log in to it until Friday. :) BTW, I am just stunned to know you already have your interview date!! That is just amazing! So happy for you!!

  16. Anyone else getting a "You have encountered an application error. Please try again later." error trying to login to CEAC today?

I've read other people having that problem and then they say that it was a because they were using a certain browser, and they cleared their cookies. Try a different browser or clear your cookies, it might help! I personally haven't encountered that problem, I use Chrome.

  17. Hi everyone,

I'm delighted to hear things are moving along for all concerned. I got back from my Thailand trip and meeting my wife. We had a great time, but I feel I'm behind a few weeks from many of the Feb. filers. I just sent in my Aos and IV packet on Monday Sept 14th. Do I just wait or are people calling to see if it's received? There are a lot of posts, so I didnt check then all but something about a scan date. Do I call and ask when it was scannned. Any thoughts? Thanks and congrats all, soon the journey of waiting will be over for all of us!

Glad to hear you had a great time with your spouse!! I have a question for you, did you certified your mail and given a tracking number? if so, then that delivery company should state if your package was delivered, once you get notification that it was, call NVC and ask if it was received, sometimes it takes up to two business days for them to scan it into the system. For example, I sent out the packages via UPS on 8/25 and were delivered on 8/27, but didn't get scanned into the system until 8/31 (scan date).

If you sent it via regular mail, then it would take a few business days to arrive, I would call maybe Friday? However, you may wish to call sooner, it is up to you :)

  18. Know what, I'm going to join you since we both have the same scan date- I won't check until Friday either.

Cool! I know, this is very difficult, even more knowing others got their CC before the 30 day mark which makes us check the CEAC website everyday, more so now that we are close to the 21 days... let's pull it thorough and not check the website till Friday!! We can do this! :)

  19. it does thank you, i have a lawyer helping me with this and she is stating that she is almost positive mexico is except from the police certificate, any one else heard anything like that?

are the translated copys sent to the NVC or taken to the interview, from what i understand from the site http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html , the translated certified copys are for the interview.

If your lawyer is telling you that you don't need a Police Certificate, you better get yourself a new lawyer, or go ahead and do the process yourself, I too had a lawyer at the beginning, but decided to do it myself with the help of VJ and doing an extent amount of research. I'm also petitioning for my husband in Mexico and I am doing this based on the help of other VJ members, the http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved.html website, and the wiki http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process which is an incredible tool in this journey.

As for the certified translated copies, they need to be sent to NVC along with copies of the original documents, like your birth certificate, and marriage certifcate, etc., any document that is not written in English.

Hope this is clear, if not, please ask questions, everyone here is very helpful.

  20. hello im new to the forum, i have a couple of questions, they had given me a CC for july, i called again and they stated they are missing civil documents now even tho we sent them :/, they are now saying they do not need my wifes (us citizen) birth certificate and that they only need copys because the originals are taken to the interview, i was also wondering if any one knows if Mexico is except from the police certificate, can some one please confirm that this information is acurate, my case is Ir1, thanks in advanced!

Hi, first of all, I am surprised you have a CC with missing documents according to NVC. Yes, NVC only wants copies and the originals are to be taken to the interview. I believe the birth certificate for your wife, which I am thinking is the petitioner, is not needed, only yours with a certified translated copy, if it is in another language that is not English. Also, Mexico is not exempted from the Police Certificate, you can ask for it at your town's Municipality, it it is not in English, you have to submit a translated certified copy. Hope this helps! :)
