Lol.. As long as they've not started issuing ILs for ir1 and cr1 then I'm not going to bother myself about IL not coming by this time for f2a. I think next vb will move at least four weeks cos it won't make any sense if it doesn't. Why jump ten weeks and then pause.. Makes no sense
It makes perfect sense actually. Whenever they make a big jump, it either slows down or stops for a while since they can't schedule too many interviews in one month. I of course want it to move as fast as possible and think it might move like a month, but I am just saying that is a possibility.

I just received a letter from nvc that my case is complete and visa bulliten is currant how long it will take for U.S. embassy ( Baghdad Iraq ) to set a interview date for interview ? Thank u
You might be scheduled to have an interview in October or November which means you will be notified either in September or October.

Also on the I 864 do I have to send it with the ORIGINAL HAND signed signature or would a copy suffice that way I can just email it otherwise I have to sign it me and co sponsor and I have to dhl it to him .thanks alottt.

You already sent it to the NVC so the expiration date does not concern your case. Again, you already sent the original signed one to the NVC so all you can have is a copy, that is fine.

OK okay because I received a checklist of documents to bring to the interview for my husband and it says financial documents -y the y stand for this document has been sent to consulate or embassy so all the other ones said eighter not needed or send original. I just want to be prepared sigh.... Also since I had a joint sponser should he just take that or also my affadit form with my tax returns even though my income was not enough. Sorry for all the q but we are so closee don't wanna screw it up now lolol.
It is not necessary since you already sent it in but if you want to be on the safe side you can bring everything the day of the interview. Definitely both since even though you didn't make enough money, you are still the main sponsor.

Hello everyone I don't know exactly where Ishould post this question but my husband has been given an interview on sept 21 2015 I wanted to know if he has to bring with him the original signed part of the affidavit of support or would a copy suffice.
You were supposed to send the original to NVC so I assume the photocopy is all you have. The photocopy is all you need for the interview.

Yes you're right. We got an invoice for visa payment before retrogression happens. Will that qualify as Sought to acquire for late filing? Thanks for your response. Appreciate it.
To my understanding your age freezes the first time your priority date becomes current, so your age was frozen at age 18. The problem is and what I believe other people are telling you is that your family already finalized the visa process, they already have the visa and are already here in the US. There is no petition to qualify to CSPA to. There is nothing you can do now except get a visa through a separate petition. I do suggest to consult with a lawyer to see if there is still salvation though.
-
Oh I see. Even though I have an invoice number from the first time it became current?
Invoice number that you get from NVC in order to log in to CEAC is a different thing than the actual fee invoice that you need in order to pay.

Thanks for your reply.
If ever they ask what my husband does for a living, should I just mention the old one and not say about the new one? Will they not know about the new one?
And if ever let's say I told them about the new one and they asked me to send in a new i-864 and i already have it with me plus all the evidence of income, will it still delay the visa even if those docs are already available at the time of the interview?
You definitely shouldn't lie to them if they straight up ask you, but no they wouldn't know since he hasn't filed taxes for it or anything yet. Now that I think about it if you already have all the documents and new i-864 ready at the time of interview then the consular officer might be able to approve it on the spot.

Do you guys suggest i should upgrade my f2a to ir1? would this expedite my case or would it cause more waiting..im just afraid it will take 2 more months..
I definitely don't think you should since this would further delay your case. Your priority date is already current so there is no point in upgrading; you have a visa inmediately available to you whenever your case does get completed.

Hi, all.
When we submitted our AOS docs to NVC, my husband used his household members' income to help meet the income requirement. I understand that during the interview, I should bring the AOS (form i-864, form i-864As, evidence of income).
Now just recently my husband got a new work and his income there is enough to cover our household income (no need for household member's help).
- Should my husband fill out a new form i-864 declaring his new work?
- Will nvc still require us to use the houshold members' incomes since initially, their forms (i-864A) were already included in the file?
- Will they remove the houshold members' support since my husband's income is already enough?
- or will they leave the houshold members' support in the records even if my husband can already support us alone?
Appreciate all your help.
My recommendation to you is to just not say anything about it at the time of the interview since they would ask you to submit the new i-864 which would further delay your process. If they do ask though, then tell them and have one already filled out.

Are original copy of financial evidences and affidavit of support still need on the time of interview? Or photocopies will do?
Originals of supporting documents are required at the time of interview. If you sent the original affidavit of support already, then it is not needed at the time of interview.

as i have understood, me(petitioner) and my joint sponsor is going to fill out the AOS form. Do we need two separate copy for us to fill out or we only need one copy? thanks again guys and aaron.
If you are using a joint sponsor then both you and him/her will fill out a separate i-864.

Congrats!, did they ask for you and your wife to be in the interview? My mom is my petitioner but she won't be able to go with me to the interview I wonder if that will affect my interview?
Since she is your mom they will probably not deny your visa unless you have some trouble with the law. It is not necessary for her to go with you since the truth of the matter is that she is your mom and you don't have to prove a relationship with her as long as it shows she is your mom in your birth certificate.

Hi guys.
Thanks all of u for ur opinion.
But I am confused about marriage certificate. Union council marriage certificate is better or translated marriage certificate with stamped notery and foriegn office stamped is better.
Can u guys suggest me plz.
Thanks a lot
You need to send them the union council one and then have a translation sent as well. All documents written in another language should be translated by a certified translator.

Thanks.
Can you tell me how many days required to get documents reviewed by NVC?
It takes at least 25 days but could take longer than that. If you get a checklist asking for another document then it might take you 2 to 3 months. I have seen people get a case complete in two weeks but this is because their date was current for a couple of months already.

Hello, all
It is okay to use your household members' income to help with the minimum income requirment, right?
My husband is using his mom, dad and sister's income to help with the minimum requirement (as household members) as they are living in one residence.
My question is what document should we use to prove relationship? my husband can use
His birth certificate to prove relationship with his mom and dad, how about his sister?
Thanks
You can use a birth certificate as well. In the birth certificate it shows the parents so if they have a parent in common that should be enough. I haven't personally done this but that's what I think.

The sponsor does not need to have worked for three years as long as they are currently making 125% above the poverty line; this can be proved by sending paystubs, employment letter. If she has not worked and therefore not filed taxes before this year then do not cross off those fields, but you need to add a written explanation on why she did not file taxes.

Hello~
I have an urgent question for my F2A interview. It has been scheduled on 9/14/15 in Taipei, Taiwan. However, I currently study in Seattle and would like to have the interview in the Washington State. Does anyone know whether I can reschedule the interview from Taiwan to USA? Also, please let me know how to do so. Thank you so much and appreciate any feedback.
As far as I know, you can only have your interview in the US if you adjust status which is a different process than the consular processing you did. All I can think of is call NVC and they will instruct you on what to do.

Actually, your case is not even at the NVC anymore so you might have to call your consulate or even USCIS.

Additional question: Do you guys know if by the time my waiver is still pending approval and I turn 21, what would happen? Would my petition be voided or since it will be current does the age freeze?

Hi, all
I am so happy I saw this post and congrats to all who got visa approved
I just have a question. My husband and i got married on a civil wedding and we were only with my brother and sister in the civil wedding ceremony. My husband's family members are all living in the states. My mom and dad were not able to come with us because they are taking care of our son. I just gave birth to my son then. My son was 1 month old then. Do you think the interviewer will question us and feel suspicious that we were only with my sister and brother during the wedding and that none of my husband's relatives were there?
We had this wedding when my husband came
Home for a 2month vacation because i am going to give birth to our son.
And the process we went through in getting married was really done quickly because we were having a hard time finding a pastor to wed us because most pastors were already fully booked that time and we're told that it takes weeks to schedule. So in short, we really had no specific date in mind for the wedding. We just had to take whatever date we were given because we only had a few weeks left before my husband went back to the states.
Sorry for the long post. I am just concerned about being questioned about our civil wedding
They might have suspicions but I think you having a son together solidifies your case, so you probably have nothing to worry about.

Hi All, just want to ask the following especially to those who have finished their AOS and IV packages
We will be sending my wife's paystubs for proof of income, does it have to be original or a photocopy would do?
Regarding the federal income tax return requirement, is that the form 1040?
In the checklist, a proof of relationship (Financial documents part) and marriage certificate (Supporting documents part) is needed, what's the difference between the 2? Should the proof of relationship be pictures, etc, or can we just use 2 marriage certificates (1 for aos package and 1 for IV package)?
What is 'petitioner documents' in the checklist?
Thanks in advance,
Ron
-A photocopy is fine.
-You can either send form 1040 with W2's or just the IRS transcript will do.
- I was petitioned through a parent so I am not sure, but if it's the financial documents section then maybe it's cashed checks from western union, a bank account in common or something like that. You might also want to send a couple of pictures of you together, not a lot.
-Marriage certificate is only sent once in the supporting documents, but you don't lose anything by sending it twice.
-Petitioner documents I am guessing is their green card.

AOS = Affidavit of Support
IV = Immigration Visa
IL = Immigration Letter
Are those the correct meaning for the acronyms? I get confused a lot when reading some threads as AOS can also be Adjustment of Status. Thanks again
IV stands for ''immigrant visa.'' This can stand for the supporting documents which you are supposed to submit to the NVC after payment of Affidavit of Support fee along with the Affidavit of Support financial documents. It can also stand for the other fee that you have to pay for the processing of your ''immigrant visa'' at the NVC.
IL stands for ''Interview letter.'' You get this after completing your case at the NVC and your priority date is current.
You got AOS right.
October visa bulletin released
in Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America
Posted
If their non immigrant visa status is still valid then they can adjust status without leaving the US. This is so they become permanent residents. When you file i-485 after around 90 days you get your EAD which means ''employment authorization document'' and AP means ''advance parole''. This all means the person filing will be able to work and/or travel before they finalize their permanent residence petition process.
