  1. I got a weird email this morning not sure if anyone else got it.

I never called and requested any information since ive filed my case, however I got an email stating

"we are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time, we will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on March 13, 2018".

I log into my uscis case status and all it says is fingerprint fee received on January 29

    Anyone else got this email?

So is it weird that my NOA receipt number works when I use the case status checker and gives the following status?

    My Fingerprint Fee Was Received

On January 17, 2018, we received your fingerprint fee for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence , Receipt Number EACXXXXXXXXXX. Your case is now properly filed. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in your notice. If you do not receive your notice by February 16, 2018, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

  3. I went for my interview at the Newark field office today and got approved on the spot. The interview lasted no later than 10 mins. It was way easier than I expected. The officer was an elderly lady and only asked how did I meet my spouse and what's my occupation. Then she asked for our bank statements (last 3 months), phone bills (last 3 months), lease, renters insurance and health insurance. She smiled and said thank God we never wasted money on an attorney. She then asked for our photo album and the first photo she saw (our wedding photo with the justice of peace making us say vows) she said "I love this one" and gave me back the album without looking further. She then told us we are approved and will get the card in the mail. She went over the green card conditions and sent us on a merry way.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting

  5. I was approved for 2 unsecured Capital One credit cards ($300 limit each). Also did a secured $500 limit one with PNC bank. I have a Chase bank account even when I had no SSN. They recently added my SSN to the account.

    Bank Of America

    TD Bank

    Chase

They open accounts with just 2 forms of ID And proof of address (I used my phone bill). At the time I used my passport and my visa page in my passport. I closed my BOA & TD Bank and only using Chase now.
