Let me try to answer as cameroonian. Elementary school is the same as "école premiare" which means you will not record it in ds160. Any diploma upwards...like BEPC, PROBATOIRE, BAC etc, is what you should consider.Hello all.
I have a question about ds 160:in work/education/training rubrik they ask to enter any educational institutions that you did except elementary school.
It means that we must began by the class of 6eme ?I did francophone session, does I fill it in french like it is in.my diploma because in cameroon we have francophone and anglofone study.or I need to traduce(the name of the institution, the name of the diploma, the name of the course of study) in english?
Also, please, let me make this clear " Ne traduire rein, pas contre it faut contacter un/une traducteur reconnue ou légalisée qui devrait le faire".
Lastly, feel your ds160 forms with the exact meaning of your diplomas in French. Don't translate anything yet. Good luck

SEXYMACKERAL, thanks for sharing you experience. I m going in for CR1. I know proof of bonifide relationship is similar to FI so what specifically do u mean by "bring all the proofs you have". I think that's a major worry we have citing EP&PE's worry. For example, printing whole fb chsts can ve millions of pages, pictures can be well arranged in an album as it was earlier suggested, emails, money transfer receipts etc etc. Pleaded, what is your take on all these based on your practical experience. Thanks

Dear all, thanks for the update. As for proof, its never enough, so bring as EP said. I planned on doing so. As for other embassies like Ghana and Nigeria; especially Ghana! Everything there looks scary but we should just put our hope in God as we confront those CO guys. If possible we should all add fasting to our prayers to overcome our fears. God gave US foreign spouse not because who chose it that way. God simply wants US all to be happy and leave peaceful life. He will see US through!

Dhweels76, thanks for the update.

Thanks starkilla09!
-
Tanks starkilla for update and Good luck on your dad's case. Keep US updated on the good ending of this heart-shattering journey.
-
Congrats to all whose visas are approved. It's a difficult and heart shattering journey. Thank God it ends well

Hi Ul &Cr, we filled in for the same visa category, but mind was filled in lubbock contrary to yours. Yes, the visa fee is same and the procedure is virtually the same. I have not heard much about DCF, but I know it is widely practiced. I m hoping to received appointment soon as my case is already complete. I wish you good luck in all the processing as well. We re never done until the visa is at hand. Let's put all things in prayer so that the Good Lord see US through this nightmare, especially when our love onces are so distant for a very long period.

Thanks Sammyann, I ve been calling the whole last week to to avail. I ll try again early morning and see what happens. On my NOA2 they clearly stated I should give 60days. Don't know if that's the case for most people though you mentioned it takes just 30days in principle.

CC may 5, no interview scheduled yet!

CC May 5th, no news from NVC yet.....so sad.
-
No appointment yet. CC complete May 5th, .....patience patience running out...emotions running high, hopes turned to July month for any sign of miracle from NVC.
-
Ohh good, let's keep our fingers crossed. In the main time could you kindly share with us your visa status as well as how far you ve gone in processing.
-
Hey cameroonians, let's keep this forum alive here. I see very minimal posts, thanks to contribution from zebra2014, and visajourney2012 we get very decisive info about how the yde embassy carries out interview. I can't wait to here more.
My case complete May 5, 2015 still waiting for an appointment date. God's bless and strength as we get to unite with our love ones.

@marriedguy. Cameroon is in Africa. Precisely, neighboring and close to Nigeria, and surrounded by 5 other Central African countries such as; Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic...etc
-
My dear friend, you see now that most comments we were making were merely speculative. Honestly, I don't see any reason why they didn't give her the visa. However, just respect the CO's request and grt the DNA done. Good luck
-
Maybe they never denied her visa, but requesting some details. If you could share with us what the CO told her in its entirety, then most people in vj forum might figure out what to say. Now, all what we re saying might be basically speculative.

OK, If you send all that them it was ok. What about traditional wedding pics??
-
Having land and two us citzens doesn't suffice a bonafide proof of relationship. Show proof of regular money transfers, old and new pictures you guys took together, and if you make regular trips home you can attached border passings or airtickets. Also, for African Countries were traditional wedding is recognised, show pictures of traditional wedding activities that went on even in your absence, but in the presence of your family. These evidences will never be disputed by any CO

I'm not sure how much the spouse and fiance visas differ, but thanks for sharing. I think on average Yaounde schedules appointments about 2 months after they process the packet. I just hope ours gets to NVC and then to Yaounde fast!
What do you mean by "allow 2 months before worrying about NVC"? Do you mean 2 weeks? And doesn't the appointment letter come through email? That's what they did for my friend who just got her then-fiance's K-1.
i meant 2 months after the case is closed at NVC. As for appointment letter, it would be posted or emailed. It depends on the contact address you gave them. However, since our postal system is so unreliable, you can request your appointment letter bf sent through mail.
Did they schedule your interview yet?
-
Hello fellow cameroonians. Allow 2 months before you start worrying about NVC. IF YOUR case is complete, follow the deadline written on the approval letter and wait for your appointment letter through regular mail. Also, the interview package will be sent to yde embassy, meanwhile, they will take a week or so to register your package and schedule you for interview. To conclude, just estimate 2-3 months for effective interview after case has been approved.
Anyone from Cameroon here?
in Africa: Sub-Saharan

Also, as your are working, it doesn't matter what you are doing, I will advice you to say the truth. Don't write unemployed while you have something doing. Working doesn't necessarily mean to work in an office. Please, always say your truth.
As for schools attended, write name of school, from 1900-2000, name of certificate obtained (write the name of your certificate in French if it is not written in English)
God is in control.
