  1. Hi Everyone,

My cc was 5/20/15, I got my email on 5/28. I haven't received an interview's date but today I checked the ceac website and got the 3 N/As. I called NVC and still no interview. They said they are still scheduling interviews this week.

    I am going nuts here!

Does anyone know why I just got the 3 n/as today after a month and a half???

Please what's full meaning of 3NA?

    Thanks

  2. For my CR1 interview, I intend to print 20 pages of yahoo mails from 2008-2014, where we discussed about our love lifes, difficulties managing distant relationship and marriage plans. 12pages of Facebook from jan -march, printouts of viber from April-June, Skype printouts for one full year (2014), whatsapps calls from july-interview date, pictures we took since we started dating till marriage. A total of 50 pictures in an album, including traditional wedding we did in her absence. Hey, she came home for court weding!!

Obviously, marriage certificate would be included in our proofs.

Moneygrams and express union receipts from 2008-2015

    I hope I didn't miss anything here.

    Pls, advice me.

  3. Relationship progression here is what you want to show. Sort out your stacks of these bona fides periodically according to how your relationship progressed beginning from when you started dating to this point. Stress on the ones which are big or changing events like plans, trip arrangements, meeting especially with family, major purchases etc not just casual ones. Use same for the pictures. Since you're K1 you also want to show you've met within the last 2 years in person. If you're a woman and your fiancé bought a ring in the U.S, he can send you receipts of purchase or certified appraisal as most jewelry stores here offer one when you make a purchase. This can also be a great evidence. Your passport is the main travel document so you're covered in that section as well without an ID #. Embassy is probably off hours because of Independence Day observance which is July 4th.

    I agree with starkilla09. It's insane to print 500 pages....etc etc.

  4. You obviously didn't read my last post, so I'll say it again. People here are applying for different visas, so the procedures and norms vary. EP&PE is applying for a K-1 VISA, NOT CR1/IR1. If you were paying attention instead of calling people ignorant, you might have noticed that.

I have read countless stories of K-1 petitioners for African fiance(e)s who brought hundreds of pages of conversations and photos be denied. Obviously I don't know for sure the cause, so that's why I said "I've seen a lot of people blah blah blah." I also have colleagues who have shown up in Bastos extremely eager and nervous for tourist visa interviews, some would say desperate, and been denied. Obviously that's a different kind of visa, but the general principle applies. And who are you to judge a satisfactory amount of proof? Did you write the law or can you tell us about when you were a consular officer?

Muhkoo, I think your being harsh here. What starkilla09 gave was an opinion which can be analyzed under reasonable person standard. You ve read other forums people share opinions and ideas and no one dare question if he/she is consulate. I m not trying to give any moral lessen here but I think what was written was not supposed to provoke such response. Let's moderate our conversation so that others should love following our posts.

    Cheers

  5. National identification number:= your id card number.

State = Region (Littoral, Center, South west etc....

    Stay blessed

To make just a tiny contribution to what UL&CR, apart from your identity card number, you may use your passport number as preference.

  6. Agree- don't print every single FB message, just print a range from the beginning to the most recent and try to show the progression of relationship. If you discuss important things via FB messages then include those (like talking about future plans together, dreams, fears etc). For example, we included a few messages where I was upset about something at work and my fiance was talking to me, giving advice and comforting me a lot; one where he got into an argument with his brother and we're talking about that etc. Messages of more substance and that really show you have a relationship are good to include...not just "hi, have a nice day" "love you."

We had about 30 pages of FB messages that spanned the length of our relationship, about 50 pictures, visa stamps from visits and skype call logs showing daily calls to each other.

What really helped to organize all of this material was a simple cover page that described the evolution of our relationship by date (month/year) and cited the evidence included (example- talked daily via skype May 2011-Present- see skype logs, I met his mother in December 2012- see pictures).

Hey, this is awesome. I ve been thinking in this direction and that's exactly what I intend to when my interview is ready. "Conversations and progress in relationship" in all aspects, especially pictures.

    Awesome contribution, thanks so much!

  7. Hi everyone!?

So happy I found this forum . I am a born US citizen filing for my husband in Nigeria (im Nigerian too but was born in the states) currently in the i130 process hope this goes quicky husband and I want to do our church wedding this September

Court Marriage in Lagos,Nigeria: January 9,2015

    Mailed I130: January 26,2015

Petition received at Chicago Lockbox: January 28,2015

NOA1 text/email: January 30,2015 Sent to Texas Service Center

NOA1 hard copy received: February 4,2015 (notice states petition is received and in process)

Petition fee/check cashed by USCIS: February 2,2015

    Waiting on NOA2?

Hopefully this goes fast, is there anyone with the same time line as me waiting on TSC?

Your case moving abit slow....filed 1-130 petition January 5, to USICS and got approved February 11th with PD Feb 5th

Case transferred to NVC who confirms March 2nd. Paid fee and receive AOS notification invoice April 5th, paid fee and filled DS260 form April 20 and send scanned docs. Got my case complete letter May 5th, though received hard copy 7 days after approval date.

No news from them about appointment date, but still waiting.

I think you should keep calling them a go much more faster. That's what we re doing.

  8. Sorry guys. Our PD is 27th Jan. We got a notice yesterday (24th June) for an additional evidence. Meanwhile my husband said he didnt add any evidence at the initial application phase. Hopefully we don't know what they want, we pray its not something difficult. To be honest, I'm fed up with all this. I'm here struggling and preparing for my MCAT, and my husband is almost losing his mind as well as someone who's in his final year med. school. This process is not just easy at all..and we haven't even gotten to the NVC stage yet. Its scary. Hopefully by God's grace, we get the hard copy of RFE Soon. Thanks Guys.

Hello, slow down and calm him down before he makes another fatal error! This issue is very heart-breaking, especially as we will feel everyday we re near each others arms.....lol, just a dream you know.....kidding!!!! Seriously, calm things down, bring down the tempo put that smile on each others heart. It is well with Jesus

  9. these go in cycles.

assume scheduling occurs 1 to 3 times each month.

folk who are to be scheduled are in a queue.

the queue moves along as humans get slotted in the available and released interview slots.

when it's yer turn in the queue, you'll get slotted for an interview.

usually the interview is 20 to 45 days after the interview date is set. within 2 days of an interview getting set, you and the beneficiary will receive a longish email, the appointment interview letter. It contains the appointment date, a summary of stuff submitted, and will have further instructions.

maybe a recent interviewee for HCMC can post their appointment letter in your topic (redacted, of course)

as to your final query, about prior folk - hey ! come visit on a PC, click the flag under your name in this topic, that'll drop you to your country portal.

Then study the timelines there, going to 'expanded view'. Or get into an NVC Monthly thread, study Saylin's Spreadsheet (she's been tracking this stuff for the last 3 years) A PC is important, here, as handphones absolutely suck droid-gears for doing real research here at VJ.

    HTH !

    Useful information...thanks!!!
