  1. Immigrant Visa (IV) fee has to be paid before processing of the same. You are even lucky you got a CC already. Go online and pay that ASAP, when it shows paid, call NVC. That is what i would do if i were you.

Thanks CeeMu, I m so grateful for your help. The rep said she will send us an invoice, should we wait for the invoice or proceed with payment as u specified?
  2. Please can some really explain this to me. In effect, my cc date is May 5th, and I ve been waiting for appointment date for more than 2,months now. We rang NVC today and fortunately got a rep who informed us that during the processing, we chosed an agent, but we haven't paid a "bill"(don't know what bill again). Actually, we proceeded by filling visa application fee forms, paid the visa fee of 420$, recieved AOS and paid fee of 120$. Now, my question is, what agent fee are they talking about?? If someone chosed himself as the agent, does he need to pay any fee. What did I really missed in the process???

Please, can someone kindly clarify me cuz I m lost.

  3. It's like NVC is scheduling appointment anti-clockwise. That is to say from earliest to later, otherwise its not normal that some folks with CC April and May don't have appointment dates yet, if they are truly respecting the 60 days rule.

Hey guys, i m just running my frustrated mouth here, don't take me serious.

Congrats to all folks with appointment dates already. God will see you guys through.

  4. Thanks for your response. At this point I'm kind of confused. I was leaning towards applying to have it expedited, but a representative told me it might delay it further. What do you think?

    Also, it's CR1

Let's be patient. All I can say. It's been a long road, now its much shorter. Let's keep the faith and pray. Thats my advice.
  5. Unfortunately we have different cases but what I can modestly contribute is that you shouldn't use the bride price issue as proof for k1. I think its also considered as traditional wedding process.

They might refuse your visa and insist you guys finish the wedding and file for CR1.

MY suggestion is that you follow exclusive proof of finance shared in this forum to avoid confusion.

I didn't use bride price as proof for k-1 when we submited it

what do you mean by follow exclusive proof of finance shared in this forum to avoid confusion?

Typing error!!!!!...lol, I meant fiancé, not finance. Sorry about that.

  6. Hello guys.

Happy to see cameroon represented here.I read you since but now I decided to suscribe.

We are k-1 october filer and we just have our case number from nvc.

    I have a question:

Before filling we did bride price in cameroon.I don't know if it is a problem because I see many nigerian and ghana people have issue because of that here on vj.

Is it the same in cameroon?I thought that as long as you didn't sign any paper you are not married.

    Please help.thanks

  7. Yes were living together

Did you really said her tourist visa has expired!!!

she is living illegally in US, take note of the consequences before you make the slightest error. Besides, she will have to go back to her country before her application is processed, and take note of the fact that she will be noted at POE as someone who lived illegally, consequently it can be detrimental for her to get immigration. Hey, don't be scared, I m just bringing out the worst possible scenario so that you can figure a way out. Good luck!

  8. We were just denied in Ghana, CO said she is not convinced of the legitimacy of our relationship. What can we do? Anyone please

Hmmmm...it's seems the only thing Ghana Embassy is gud at is to denied, refuse and revoked people petition. God have mercy on our marriage

I am so so sorry. I am having someone come and give you guidance. But I am going to have this be a separate thread so a wider audience can respond and help you okay.

    1. I contacted my senators office.

They gave me an email to the person who handles immigration and told me to detail everything that happened, what the CO said, and include most of the evidence my wife took, as an attachment. I detailed everything that happened and included lots of photos, marriage certificate, our child birth certificate, etc... and sent it to them. I gave them about 2 days and called his office back. They said they saw the email and that the things i sent to them were pretty convincing so they will send an email the the Chief consulate. Not sure what the email will say and not sure what will come out of it. However, its better than doing nothing, and it gives me peace of mind that I at least doing something.

    2. I emailed the Immigration division of the embassy in Ghana.

I sent an email to the immigration division of the embassy with the attention supervisor. Included lots of evidence, what the CO said,etc... I mean i sent lots and lots of evidence with that email. I am hoping someone sensible will review it and have a talk with someone who can do something. I am not sure if anything will come out if it but once again, it gives me peace of mind that I am not just sitting and waiting.

You can just wait till USCIS contacts you requesting for more evidence or whatever they need you to do. Nothing much you can really do at this stage.

I am so sorry to hear that. We were denied the K-1 on June 8, I have started over with the CR-1.

I am just speechless at how the embassy thinks a marriage isn't real. As Volta-Region said please contact your Senator's office they can help. My Senator's office has been involved in our cases since 2014.

I hope something can be done for all of us going through the Embassy in Ghana. It seems all they do is deny couples. Again I am so sorry to hear such news.

    I wish you the best.

Do what Volta Region suggested. Slim chance it will work but you never know.

Next wait until you get a NOID/NOIR letter from USCIS, this can take 4-6+ months, depending on when Ghana actually returns the case.

Once the petitioner receives the letter you can send whatever you have to overcome what you were denied for and if USCIS is satisfied

with your response it goes back to the embassy with recommendation to approve. The CO can then either approve or refuse to issue the visa

    again.

    1. Did you front load your petition ?

    2. What did you include as evidence ?

    3. What were the questions focused on ?

    4. How frequent did you visit ?

    5. How long did you know each other before you married ?

Figure out what they didn't like and overcome it with factual evidence.

Ghana is nuts returning all these cases, you all need to contact your representatives and file a complaint besides having them help you

with your cases. We all get that Ghana is high fraud but this is ridiculous to refuse so many cases.

What the hell is wrong with CO in Ghana!! Bad newsvall the time making people suffer separations from their love once unjustly. Please, vj members, let's fast and pray for Ghanians! It's too much.

Yes it is to much!!! We are separated for years and years from our loved one and it's ridiculous! They believe no relationship is real. If your lucky and catch the CO on a good day you may get approved. I will never understand their reasoning at all for the denials.

For me and my husband we have been apart for almost two years...our last option is for me to move to Ghana.

Lord let ur will be done on us and our spouses, someone needs to sit that lady at America embassy in Ghana down and talk some sense into her head to stop breaking homes and separating families. I prayed that God removed her from there asap.

This is what someone post on consulate forum on embassy in Ghana. And it happened yesterday.

    Amen, and thank You Jesus!
