  2. OMG! OMG! I'm so happy right now!!! I didn't think it would be possible, but guess I got really lucky!!!

Yesterday, I sent an email to the embassy, requesting a reschedule of my interview to an earlier date! I just told them that this distance between my husband and I has been taking its toll on us and that I really miss him. Also, that I'm eager to start a normal life, as husband and wife!

They called me today!!! They re-scheduled my interview for the 28th of December!!! The lady was so nice :D She asked me why I want to do my interview earlier, do I have already my flight tickets or something? And I told her it's not that, i wouldn't risk paying thousands of euros before having my visa in hand. The only reason is that I really miss my husband and I want to be with him as soon as possible. And she giggled and told me okay, we'll reschedule you for December 28th, at 1 PM.

I'm so happy!!! I can't wait for hubby to wake up so I can give him the news! (He doesn't know about the email that I sent).

Oh yes? ! I too he had planned for January 14, 2016, and December 22, 2015 to reprogram ..... I'm glad also ..... Congratulations to you
  3. APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby had his interview this morning at Lagos Embassy and was approved....we are so happy and excited, according to my husband the interview went quick (2mins) he was asked a few questions. He also mentioned that the CO stated that the way I packed the documents was exceptional. My husband was asked the following and told to pick his visa up in 2weeks. He did mention that the wait was very long his interview was scheduled for 8am but didnt get interviewed until after 1pm

    Who petitioned for you?

    What does your wife do?

Where and what did you wife study in college?

What type of wedding did you do?

How many siblings does your wife have?

    How many siblings before her?

    How many boys and girls?

She asked for the original birth certificate and police clearance and told my husband that he is approved.

Hubby stated the lady was very nice and didnt even ask to see pictures or any of our correspondences.

    congratulations
  4. Well the Consular really did not care about my current income, or my employer's letter...he really cared about last year's taxes. I have been at my current job for a year now and make enough. (My last year's taxes were 1000 shy of the poverty line...)

So my advice to everyone is to have a plan b!!

Talk to anyone who is willing to be a joint sponsor and have that handy for the interview, JUST IN CASE (with the required 1040's, W2's, Proof of employment, proof of citizenship, and a signed I-864 from the joint sponsor). You never know...

oh!? Okay thanks for your advice
  5. Congrats, Kimbo. I'm very happy for you. But how your approval compares to denial of some true humanitarian situations, it baffles me.

Thanks. ..Yes you are right. ... but my strength is to always try because nothing ventured, nothing gained....if I was you,I would ask a expedite.... be convincing in the application. .. And you lose nothing..do not be discouraged. go for it
  6. Whoa! I'm shocked they approved an expedite request based on a family wanting to spend Christmas together. This is landmark unusual and you're incredibly lucky. Being approved for expedite is normally very difficult because the circumstances have to be so extreme. I have a friend here in VJ who requested an expedite because she had to face a very major surgery and needed her husband there to help her in her recovery, but she was turned down flat.

    I'm sorry for him.

I read someone say that his expedite had been accepted by the same reason so we tried .... and after two weeks of waiting the answer is yes
