    Hi Folks,

I am a late June filer. I just got a snail mail that my case has gotten transferred to Potomac. This seems like good news because looking at the spreadsheet it seems like GC gets approved between 1 - 1.5 months.

Given this, should I just want to file for naturalization (N-400)? I am eligible to file for N-400 but it's not clear if just waiting for the 10 year GC will make filing it easier or should I get started in parallel. Are June filers going through this conundrum?

Hey you are not alone. my case was transferred to potomac last month. I will be  eligible for N400 end of this month. I will wait for green card approval before I file for citizenship. Hopefully I hear something end of this month or next month.

I just went on to the new site to see if it's got updated as well and found they have a different information from the old one. It says 'Case was received at my local office' as of June 1st whereas the old one says it was transferred June 4th without stating where it went. I don't know which website is providing correct information. Is it normal to see two different info on their websites? And despite the fact I have notification on I didn't receive any email/text.

I sure hope so! A year of waiting is tiring and stressful.

I have  seen people saying the websites given different info.

So at this point best to wait for the letter.

I just went on the old site to see if I'd see anything other than error message and found that my case was transferred as of today. Need to wait for the letter to see where it was transferred to now. I wonder for how much longer we will have to wait.

welcome to the transfer club haha.

Hopefully not too long cause I know we all are tired of waiting.

    Hello all,

Last week i filed N400, and today received a text to check my ROC case status and i find this:

     somebody else have this message?

Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction

On June 4, 2019, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EAC18xxxxxxxx, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by July 4, 2019, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

It could be transferred at your local office or another office (Nebraska, Potomac , Texas) .  Just wait for letter to know for sure. A lot of cases have been transferred regardless if  one applies for N400.

10 years GC was in mail today. We mailed our package in late May 2018, received by USCIS in Vermont Center on June 7 2018. Never transferred. Approved May 28 2019. No RFE, no interview.

    Congrats!

May we see lots of GC in the mail for all of us during this new month.  It's officially gonna be 1 year since filling for all of us.

Good luck on to not next step if you're going to file N400.

Never been outside USA for more than a month since marriage. So physical presence and residence requirements should not be a problem, but the question is confusing. They should have listed 3 years if applying based on marriage. I will list for 3 years, and explain in cover letter that I listed only 3 years rather 5 years because applying based on marriage.

Yes, local office is Atlanta. Waiting time is listed as 11.5 to 24 months. Will submit N-400 when new green card in hand. We need to send a copy of it.

Alright then sound good. Good luck on the next step hopefully I get to file right behind you. I'll follow your timeline since we will be at the same local office.

Congrats again on your green card approval.

Yes, planning to submit N-400 as soon as possible. Just looked at form, and got confused about Part 9 question about total days outside USA in last 5 years. The application will be based on 3 years residency after marriage/Green card. Not sure how to answer. Should I count 2 years outside USA prior to marriage?

You should count the 3 years period. Years before living in the US doesn't count. you shouldn't be out of states for trips of 6 months or longer during the 3 years period.

My window opens on June 24. I Want to get the 10 years card first since my local office is at 1 year waiting.  Is your local office gonna be Atlanta too?

I saw so many updates from you guys and I logged in earlier to the new website, and nothing.

BUT I just got a text message saying my case is now updated, so I checked on the old website uscis.gov and woohoo!

    New Card Is Being Produced

On May 23, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EAC18174xxxxx

Edit: FYI, my case was never transferred, my case status was "Case Received" from the new website since June 2018. And on old website I was never able to check the status.

    Congrats!

Hello everyone, my husband is preparing to fill his removing of condition forms , his 90 days period started 3 days ago..

Is there any check list that can help us ..

    We filled the for I751

We have joint bank account statements,  joint Credit cards, property lease in both our names, and utilities are in his name only, joint tax return for the last 2 years, but our income isn't enough,  my sister is supporting us, so we will include her tax returns too, ( do we need affidavit support form from her again??)) We don't have a car yet we are both students, I am 6 month pregnant now , we used to live with my sister in her house ,but we moved 8 months ago, because my husband found a new job,  but will still use her address that we had in his AOS, we traveled together to Mexico last year,  we have our reservation in both names, airline tickets and pictures .

We have a separate health insurance.

    What else we will need?

Thanks in advance and good luck everyone one.

    Hi,

You have great supporting evidence.  I don't think you need the affidavit of support from your sister for this process. You can ask your sister to write you an affidavit letter. instead. Since you guys have been living in a new place for 8 months now, better in you use this address instead of your sister. Anyways both of you are in the lease so that's great.  Bonus evidence you can add is about you guys having a baby soon.

P.S. trying following the 2019 May filers thread instead. this one is for 2018 so everyone is way ahead of you in the process.

    Good luck!

small percentage of cases  from Vermont or CSC that will not be transferred   do you required more time to get processed or approved.

I have seen Vermont is the slowest processing center.

True Vermont is slow but also almost as slow as the others.

Almost everyone has been waiting +year now.

On the bright side we are getting closer to be done than before.

I see most of the cases filled with VERMONT has been transferred to another office My case is not transferred and still showing as Fingerprint Review Was Completed July 2018.

Is it good or bad .I am concerned as all cases are transferred very few of them are still with Vermont.

there's always a small percentage of cases  from Vermont or CSC that will not be transferred that I have notice lately  when they are transferring cases.

There's nothing to be concern about since it's not up to us which case is transfer or not. Eventually you will hear something whether RFE or approval.

Just checked mine this morning and my status has been updated on the USCIS portal - it went from "Case Received" to "New Card Is Being Produced"!

    Mailed 04/28/2018
    Received at CSC 05/02/2018
    Extension (18-month) 06/18/2018
    Biometrics 03/13/2019
New Card Is Being Produced 05/16/2019

Can't wait to receive my new card - I HATE carrying around this paper when I cross the Canada-US border (especially since CBP doesn't even know what it means)! #thankful #grateful #newcard

    👏

    Congrats!

I really hope not. It sounded like a lot of us July filers got our cases transferred. Could be a way for uscis to expedite the approval process. But in the email update, there is this part that makes me think, maybeeee:

“On May 11, 2019, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXX, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by June 10, 2019...”

That please follow the instructions part in the notice makes me second guess about the interview part.

At this point, we have to wait for the letter for the instructions. It's weird the case is transferred to local if it's not for an interview.
