  1. We got our email today as well. Tim is going to pick up his passport and BBE at the depot tomorrow, head to Ireland to spend the weekend with his son and then fly to America on Monday. It is crazy but I am too afraid to book the airline tickets till he calls me and says he has his passport in his hands. You never know with this process.

Same with me! I'm like: look at the Visa, make sure it's not like a B2 in there. :D

  2. If you want piece of mind, you can bring a photo copy you might have used for the original I-129F. I also feel that the embassy interviewer knows your entries. They seem to know the entries to the US and the reasons given at the interview. So I'm sure they know you were there.

  3. Nich-Nick thanks for your help, I think I'm just over reading everything and my head is frazzled, you certainly go through a full range of feelings on this journey, thanks again.

My head was spinning too when I went through all of this. Be sure to read the steps from the embassy fully. Go into each of the links and see what each entails. For example, the medical will want you to have your Police Certificate. So yes, you can book your medical sooner than later, but you'll want to ensure you have your police certificate first. And your police certificate will want a number of documents as well... I think you see where this is going. It's overwhelming. I made a preliminary list from what you learn from the embassy, then list all the required documents for each of those items, then all the required documents for those.

  4. Thanks, yes I did pop the question earlier but not sure anyone knows the answer. ?

I'm sorry if I'm misinformed, but I believe there is an A# assigned to you on your approved petition. The one that is assigned by the DS-160 I believe is a reference ID used to get back into your form later. Ours was AA(numbers and letters).

  5. For Skype call history, on a Mac at least, there is a way to show pretty much the last years worth of information. This includes all images, calls, failed calls, text messages, etc etc. I think you can get this by clicking on the V looking icon and choosing something about backwards. From this, you can copy ALL this information to a file. This file may be massive and include a ton of information that isn't relevant. I opened a mac terminal and did a 'cat reallylongfile.txt | grep ....' and searched for anything that was like 'Call ' and contained the words seconds... it filtered out everything.

(You can be really fun and get the hours and minutes from this and put them into a spreadsheet program to see how much you've called.. )

As for messages, I'd just use a few loving messages from various points.

  6. I called the NVC (or rather, through the DOS number listed on this site), and was giving my date. I waited until my case had been updated on the CEAC - of course, within days, the interview date letter arrived. But who's not anxious?

The DoS number transferred me directly to the NVC without prompt (and directly into the 30 min musical number), and I was assisted by a very nice lady who gave me the interview date.

  7. Hello,

First time posting in a progress thread here. We are currently just past the medical (which had some bumps -stressful-). Luckily all was well in the end, and they were able to mail the results to the embassy on 21 AUG, and we were given an interview date of 16 SEP yesterday. We can now relax for about 3 weeks before the ride gets exciting again. :)

  8. Hello,

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I had a hard time finding anything definitive on here or on the embassy website. Once we've obtained a Police Certificate, how many do you get? I ask this because it appears you need them for both the medical and the interview process. I'm unsure if they collect these and don't return them, and if so, do I need to gather two certificates?
