I have the same timeline :-) I'm trying hard not to check the case tracker app every 10 mins!! No need to get worried as we are still within the timeframe .... I'm hoping that we will get an update by at least next week.Is anyone expecting NOA2 around 22nd - 24th Oct?! Let me know as I'd be interested in following timelines.
We attached the G1145 but we haven't had any e-notifications. The USCIS cast status just says they've received our case. I'm getting worried........!

He does have a 10 year, there's nothing i can do. Moving on after 6 years. Easier said than done. Everyone should be warned about this stuff. I should've followed my instincts when i seen he was not the same person when he got out here. Im sick with cancer and he walks away in the midst of my health. That can't be evidence enough...bs. I'll let God take care of it. Maybe we'll end up working things out.
Why would you want to work things out with someone who walked out on you when you are sick? Move on.

It's good to know that people are progressing with the K 1. I'm trying to get my fiance from Japan here and it's been a long process to get my Noa1. I don't want to start over and I haven't even made it to waiting o Noa2. Any words of encouragement? What should I do at this point?
Fill in your timeline so we can have a better idea of your wait time. When did you receive your NOA1? I'm in Japan as well.

I am beyond excited that I get to visit my fiance in 2 weeks. But, as I am reading through posts here in VJ, I see that unfortunately some people have not seen their loved one in years.
When was the last time you've seen your loved one?
We lived together till he left Japan back in May and we've been apart since then :-( ...... I'll be seeing him in December tho. Can't wait!!

Has anyone on this thread received an RFE as yet? There seems to be a number of RFEs listed for this month - just curious as to what some of them were for.
-
I'm planning on shipping boxes ahead of my arrival (surface mail shipping is pretty cheap where I'm from), so that on the day of my departure I'll only have the standard 2 and a carryon. I refuse to pay extra-baggage fees lol.

My fiancé just received the NOA1 e-notification. Yay!! Finally it begins :-) Hoping for fast processing with no RFEs

Hey guys, I have one question which I didn't find a definite answer for.
I received the NOA1 and I'm waiting for the NOA2 at the moment. I have a trip to the USA planned for december 21st, which was the goal date for me to have the visa and to go for good to America. However, even with the fast processing of the K1 visa lately, I probably won't be able to go and start the process by that time because of some problems of my university in Brazil. Instead, I will have to go on February/March.
Is it possible to travel to the USA with the K1 visa issued and a tourist visa, but choose to use the B1 visa instead?? I heard from another brazilian here in the forum that once he was able to choose between his J1 (study) visa and tourist visa, but I never heard about the K1..
I know that the process is not the same for everyone and it might take longer than this hypothesis, I am just thinking in all possibilities considering that I already have that plane ticket and it would be the best to go earlier
Once you receive the K1 the tourist visa is automatically cancelled so you won't be able to use it. You can prolong the K1 process if you need more time.

Hi all,
My fiance received a text message yesterday (the day that our check was cashed), but I'm not seeing anything about being re-routed to Cali...
Where can you see that? Online it doesn't say either... I'm afraid I'm staying in Texas...
Thanks
If the case number starts with WAC then it's going to Cali :-)

My fiancée is from Michigan too!
I would like to go there for December but I am afraid that will reject my entry.
What are you gonna bring as proof of your return in Japan?
I'll bring employment letters from both my jobs stating the terms of my contract and that they expect me to return to work, my apartment contract and bank account statements.
-
The problem was also in the Detroit airport if u read further down that thread. Just saying maybe keep an eye on your validity just in case.
I'll be entering Detroit airport to visit my fiancé in December. I hope I don't have any issues because the border officials there seem really crappy.

Happy Wednesday guys!! We're all one day closer to our NOAs!
Any couple here who also met online and indicated on their petition the dating site you met on? I've been lurking on other forums and I see that people are getting RFEs to justify that the websites are not an IMB. We met on OKCupid and we didn't think it will be a problem because it should be a popular dating site. But I saw a couple of filers who also met on OKC and they've been RFE'd.
We met online as well. I read that persons were getting RFEs because of this so I attached the terms and conditions of the site that we met on as well as their Wikipedia page detailing the purpose of the site and showing that it's on an IMB. Hopefully that's enough for them.
Hi all.
I just came across this thread today, I can't believe I hadn't seen it sooner.
We would be September filers also. I sent it in on 9/16 via USPS Priority, and it showed delivered to P.O. box on the 18th. We haven't received any notification as of yet, hopefully soon.
One question I would have is what method have you used for delivery? I'm beginning to wonder if I should have Express mailed it to the Lewisville address instead. I can just envision the P.O. box mail being something they would retrieve when time is available... "Bob, if you have time this week go get the mail from the P.O. box"... *sigh*
The wait continues.
We used USPS too and I just got a notification that it arrived at the PO box so hopefully they pick up today or tomorrow *fingers crossed*

Our preferred timeframe for me to get there is in April (I guess if we're approved way before I can just drag the process out till then). I'll be visiting him for Christmas though, I'm so excited :-)
-
So I can finally say we're a part of the September filers yay!! My fiancé mailed the package out 3 days ago. It may be a while before we receive our NOA1 tho because he's currently deployed on a ship (he's military) and the mailing system will take a tad bit longer than being stateside. I'm just glad we've started step 1 of this process.
-
Well be happy that you got out early. What a disaster it would've been had you married this person and brought her to the US to wreak more havoc.
-
Lesson nr 1: spend way more than 4 days with someone before you decide you want to marry them.
Agreed, I've seen this situation so many times on this forum.
OP I'm sorry that this happened to you. Have you tried contacting her to get her side of the story?
-
Ditto to what everyone has said. Immigration isn't a right, it's a privilege so you can't be lazy about the process. You have to prove that you are committed to building a life with your fiancée and her son. If you aren't interested in her son then you need to think long and hard about this because he will be a part of your life if/when they do move to the US.
-
He's in the military so naturally service to his career and country comes first. His job comes with a lot of moving and travelling so hopefully later down the line we'll end up in Japan (again).
-
My fiancé is in the military and currently deployed at sea so we can't talk on the phone as much as we would like. He's able to make calls out on the ship sometimes but it doesn't happen often as the lines are always down. We are only able to talk regularly when he pulls into a port.
So we message each other everyday day via Facebook and email.
-
But She loves him, and she can change him,
I hope you're being sarcastic
-
This may all be for the best. It's probably good that he showed he true colors early because maybe if you did get married he would try to use the green card to control you. Any man who makes such rash decisions over something as simple as a library card isn't someone you want to commit your life to anyway. I'm sorry that it turned out like this. I wish you all the best.

Oh your tourist visa gets cancelled when you get the K-1? I didn't know that, I kinda wanted to keep it till we got married lol.
Anyways ..... Congrats!!

If you were living in the same country the burden of proof is actually easier than living outside of the country so don't worry. Show things like stamps in your passport, a resident permit, utility bills with your address on it, receipts, apartment contracts, job letters etc.
My fiancé and I lived in the same country as well and in our packet we sent hotel receipts, credit card statements, the work permit in his passport, utility bills showing his name and address and a copy of his official military orders.
