  1. Day 76

    Filed april 10th

    Recieved 16th

    Biometric 21st May

No updates, no ead, no interview.

    Depressed is my current status.

My case took 84 days to see any progress. Keep your head up, your EAD is just around the corner. Nothing was updated on the site. I received the approval letter in one envelope and on the same day received the EAD card in another envelope. Two days later the website was updated. Just keep on checking your mailbox.

  2. I thought u could just get the ss number and have them send u the card when its ready? Meanwhile i havent heard anything abt ead or interview. Depressed is my status right now. Just hoping something shows up very soon. Its 76days.

Took me 84 days to get my EAD approved. Just hang in there.. not much longer until you hear from them. Once I got approved, I had my card in hand 4 days later.

  3. Hello everyone,

Im an april filer as well and still waiting for Ead card.

I sent the package on April 9th and got a notification on april 13

then had my biometrics appointment on May 12

after that I havent heard from themnat all. Im getting anxious and frustrated because I need to get a job and drivers license!!!!

Earlier today I posted that I was 'over it' and was just going to wait, well lo and behold, my attorney just told us that the EAD was approved as of 6/23. There was no update online, no letters, no RFE's, nothing. I am just super glad that we are making progress. I am super happy right now! :dancing: . I guess this entire process is about just being patient. My timeline. Filed 3/30, NOA1 4/6, Bio 4/30, EAD approval 6/23. From our inital file date to EAD approval it was 84 days.

Teeler, at the snail pace that they are processing applications I wouldn't worry too much about it. I know easier said than done as this morning I was fed up with waiting. Rest assured that they will get to your application and that you are still within the timeframe of them processing your application. If my timeline is any indication of how yours will go, you will get your case resolved in the first few days of July. There is not much more to wait. Just be patient and dont trust any of the information ont he USCIS tracker as that thing is not working and hasn't worked properly for many filers.

    Good luck on your journey!

  4. So after the message that I posted earlier today that I was over it, my attorney just told us that the EAD was approved as of 6/23.

  5. Hi all,

I submitted 04/6, had biometrics taken 05/1, and am STILL waiting on my EAD/AP. I filed a service request for the EAD two days ago, since it's been over 75 days, and they said that they are (STILL!) working through cases from my submission date. I've been told I can't do anything to expedite things. Is anyone else dealing with a significant wait time?? Thanks!

You are not alone. We filed on 3/30 and they received the app on 3/31. Bio on 4/30 and we have yet to hear anything on the case. We filed an inquiry on 6/20 and never heard back. At this point I am over it. Not gonna stress out any more and just sit back and wait. No use on checking the USCIS tracker as it doesn't work. Just a matter of checking the daily mail and hopefully one day we will get our EAD or Interview letters.

  6. Hi guys.

My status for I-485 hasn't changed since they got my RFE response. It still says "you will receive an update by June 9th". Anyway, I called the 1-800 number today and asked to speak to a tier 2. She said that as of June 8th my status is "ready to schedule an interview". But there is nothing online. Anyone else in the same situation or know if it's normal?

I was expecting a NPIW letter but maybe I'm lucky enough to get an interview. Who knows..

Anyway, congrats to all the approvals, looks like most of us have gotten our EAD's approved.

what was the number you called? Once you got someone you just ask them to get transferred to a tier 2?

  7. March31 for receiving it, NOA is april 3 and biometrics is april 30

Congrats Tonald. What is the approval date on your notice that you got in the mail? I have the exact same time line and I checked my mail and there was nothing. I had been holding on to hope but now I just filed and inquiry on my case via USCIS to see if they can give me some information on what's going on. meanwhile I just sit here and wait. :clock:

  8. Is a long wait...I'm hope to get my EAD soon!! Good luck to everyone!!

Your process is actually going alot faster than most people. I filed back in March and have yet to have an update since April 6th. I have not heard anything from USCIS. So count your blessings that you aren't in the same boat as the majority of us having to wait closer to 80 days without any notices of EAD cards.

  9. Seems like USCIS website and app are now working again!

did you get an update online? If so was it a same day update, meaning they approved you today and today you got the update? Or when you check the website does it say that you were approved a few days ago and they are now just telling you? I am just wondering how much the delay is between the online and app updates and when they actually approve the case.

  10. AOS and EAD are not visas. and that link is broken.

Unsure why the link is not working on here. Below is what is says...

    travel.state.gov > Newsroom > Technological Systems Issue
    Technological Systems Issue
    JUNE 16, 2015

    Passport/Visa Systems Errors

    • The Bureau of Consular Affairs continues to address technical problems with our visa systems. Some visa applicants will experience delays in receiving visas. Others will be contacted directly to reschedule their appointments. Passports are still being processed.
    • This issue is not specific to any particular country or visa category; this is a global issue. We do not believe these problems stem from any cyber-security hacking issues.
    • Our border security responsibilities are critical to the visa process. We cannot bypass the legal requirements to screen visa applicants before we issue visas for travel. We are assisting visa applicants with urgent humanitarian travel, and adoption cases are being processed. Individuals with humanitarian travel needs should contact their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

Q: What caused this outage? Was it a malicious action or hack?

    • There is no evidence the problem is cyber security related.

Q: How long before you restore full system functionality?

    • Overseas passports are being issued. Public and private sectors experts are working around the clock to correct the problem, but we do not expect the system will be online before next week.

Q: How many travelers are affected by this outage?

    • This is a global issue and is having impact on our consular operations. We are in daily communication with consular operations worldwide to assess the evolving impact and provide guidance, including information for the traveling public.

Q: Once operational, how will cases be prioritized?

    • Once the systems are fully operational, we will work as quickly as possible to clear the backlog of pending visa cases.
    • We apologize to applicants and recognize that this may cause hardship to applicants waiting for visas.

I know AOS and EAD are not visas. I was speaking on Advance Parole in relations to the implication in delays that we might encounter when waiting for our combo card.

  11. we have same timeline, i made service request on 14th of june and call them dis morning too, they ask me to wait for 15day, that i should hear from them soon.

At least it gives me some relief to know that there alot more people in the same boat and that I am not the only case going through this. Patience is what is needed in this process and unfortunately I do no have much of it. :( I want to get an update soon to know that things are headed in the right direction.

  13. how did you know that....

Where did you get that info? Do you have a web link?

    http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/news/technological-systems-issue.html

Is the link that talks about the issue they had on June 9th. They aren't processing all travel visas and I asked my attorney and he stated that this also affects all Advance Parole as it deals with possible international travel. Therefore is you applied for a EAD/AP card then we are stalled. While they are trying to work on this as fast as they can, there are no guarantees on the timeframe. I personally was excited as I felt I was next to get processed, filed March 31th, Bios April 30th and I am past my 75 day window for EAD. I was going to file an inquiry but since everyone is stalled there might be no use to do it. I will wait til this week is over and then I will decide to file an inquiry.
