  1. On USCIS website, it says....

"Most applicants with pending applications or petitions should notify us as soon as possible, no more than 10 days after your move."

And you can do it on USCIS website....all you need is your receipt number, new address and old address.

    Good Luck!

Hi! Good day! I just wanna ask if after you had your biometrics, did you get some updates on your case?because mine is still showing "case was received"..

Anyway, have you change your address already? Thanks!

  2. Yes that's why i and the people at the USCIS office believe it was an error on there part. The RFE said the name on page 1 and page 3 didn't match. When we looked at it the names matched exactly verbatim (first, middle and last name) and was filled out correctly. The second point said we were filing as a joint sponsor. In fact we are filing with only one sponsor since i had only checked 1a in part 1 question 1. Hopefully i get this sorted out soon :(

so, you mean you don't have a joint sponsor? maybe they didn't take a look well.

  3. My husband had his in person interview in Cuidad Juarez, MX on OCT 21. He was APPROVED and they gave him instructions on how to wait for his visa and tracking number from DHL.

I called NVC for an update and all they can tell me (until I recieve a paper letter in the mail) is that it has been "refused" and that a second interview is either needed, or available.

We have no idea what reasons are for this. Has anyone went through something similar? Any advice? I know I'm being impatient, I wish they could tell me why, or they would send an email instead of snail mail.

    Help!

ask for the NVC or call the embassy for that.

  4. 2RFEs on same issue (birth certificate)

Good people I urgently need your advise.

    7/19/15 - submitted i485,130,765,131

    7/22/15 - received at USCIS

    8/7/15 - RFE 1

9/22/15 - RFE response was received

    10/29/14 - RFE 2

My case goes thus; when I submitted 485 copies of hosiptal birth record (mid wife certificate) and letter of attestation to birth from government agency in my country were included. RFE 1 states that the letter submitted doesn't include one of the following; legible seal, legible stamp, signature with designation as secretary, Registrar, birth & death. So I thought the photocopy of the letter was not clear enough. I responded to the RFE with a clearer copy. RFE 2 was issued on the same issue. The RFE 2 quotes a statement that I was thinking they are asking for originals of 2 documents stated above. When I read some guidelines thou not from this forum....it was stated that affidavit from the parents should be included.

My question: are the 2 documents I have with me; (hospital birth record - mid-wife certificate & letter of attestation to birth from a Govt agency) enough for the response to the RFE2 or I still need to include affidavit from both parents..

    You response is highly appreciated.

why there is death? can you make it clearly? it's only on your Birth certificate, right??

For me, I think you need to get a new one for that docs and it should be sealed again or certified true copy. it's better that you send the original copy for that. or else ask for a copy of the hospital birth record then let them sealed/ask for a certified true copy. then passed it to the USCIS because in the xerox copy, sometimes they are very strict about the certified true copy

  6. It looks my RFE was an error on there part. I am only filing as a petitioner and not a joint sponsor on my i-864. I did correctly check the 1a box in part 1. I did a walk in today at my local USCIS office. But the walk in counter couldn't correct it without talking to an actual officer so i had to make an infopass appointment for nov 18. :(

along with your RFE, is there a form on where they think you are mistake? because they will explain you to the letter.

We received our RFE letter today... they said the name listed on my I-864 is someone other then the petitioner/sponsor?? Along with request for most recent tax returns and supporting tax documents... this is so frustrated because we did submit these documents in the initial packet.

    ----

You must acquire everything they need as soon as possible so that the processing will not be delayed. did you receive a pink letter?don't panic or get frustrated, as they said once they send you RFE,as long as that is not a fixed marriage or whatsoever.. you can prove it that your relationship is eligible. So, they give you that chance. Therefore, do your RFE as soon as possible though there is dateline.

My RFE was on a yellow letter. i know i'm recopying the requested documents again to submit again. Good luck to everyone too!

---- Actually, i received also a yellow paper before but It was just a 1 page of the form that was needed to be filled out because i forgot (the household size page). I hope too that mine gonna went well. So, maybe you must review the requested docs. over again before submitting again. Goodluck steftlin!:) i know that you can do it!

  9. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experience on a change of address within same state. Could it potentially delay the process or is it possible to just have mail redirected with united states postal service and and keep same address for AOS application?

    ----
For me, It's better to let them know your new address even though you still in the same state because maybe soon during your interview, it will be ask by the interviewer. You can change address (Check the USCIS website on how to do it) or mailed them (via express mail if you can).. maybe there is no changes about the process as long as you let them know and your address must be written correctly.
Maybe soon, we may both the same situation because we'll move into other apartment then need to change address for the mails.
