  1. Wish I had found this post before. What great pictures and dresses. Laura, I love the one you posted today.

That will look great. I'm also going for a teal length dress. I will try to post a picture later this week.

    Thanks everyone for sharing.

  2. Thank God, I kept checking this am, but had meetings in the pm!!! I'm happy to see the all approvals but it is great to see the two of you!!!! Since you were the week ahead of me in the original Neb thread. I had always felt it we would be around the same time!!!!! Have a great weekend, I know that July 31st weekend was one of my best in a long time!!

  3. This topic is very thought provoking. I too, have felt that I'm on hold until Wilmot comes. I haven't stopped doing things but I keep thinking how much better it will be when he is here, or all of the things that will be easier with him here. Someone to greet the kids when they come home from school, have dinner done when I get home once in a while. . . .Anyway hopefully everything will go as planned and he will be here Oct. 7th.

  4. Em,

Thanks for the update! Enjoy the moment, it will also be special when you celebrate with everyone else. Thanks for the good wishes for the interview. Wilmot, has his medical appointment tomorrow. The strange thing is they first told him next Friday, but then today called him and said they had made a mistake. So we were scrambling to get all of the fee's ready, it throw us for a little of a loop. But it was fine, nothing is going to stop us now.

  5. Em and Ed I hope the wedding was everything you have hoped and dreamed for!!

Michele, I'm so excited, I wish I could go to sleep and wake up on Oct. 3rd. I did something totally crazy. .. I purchased Wilmots ticket home today. I purchased for Satruday Oct. 7th and it was only $435 US dollars. He was looking over there and was getting quotes for 600+ Euros. My travle agent said we can change the date up to the day before. So I'm really hoping that everything works out so he is on the plane on Oct. 7th.

Arazia, I had posted in your orginal thread, but once again, glad you are in the offical loop now.

  6. While it seems like my wish at the start of week came true for all of us. We all had good news. Congratulations on the marriage license. Also CONGRATULATIONS ON OUR INTERVIEW DATES OCT. 3 AND OCT 10!!!!! I woke up this morning, and decided to check VJ. For some reason I didn't follow my normal pattern but went straight to the consular section. Whose post did see . . . .needless to say I started screaming. Then I called my baby, before he could say anything ... I said when is the date. He started laughing, how did you know? I told him VJ never lets me down. I'm so happy for all of us today. Have a great weekend!!!

  7. Michele,

Glad to hear that you sent packet 3 and the checklist off. We had an interesting thing happen, another packet 3 was mailed to us last week. Wilmot, filled out all the forms and sent them back in. I told him it probably wasn't necessary. He didn't want to take any chances so he redid them. I keep hoping that we get the interview date sometime this week.

I have been trying to find cheap flights, but I don't seem to be having a lot of luck. Most flights are $800 us dollars. Do any of you have any suggestions.

Em I hope that Ernesto doesn't cause too much damage. It must be different living in Florida and having to deal with hurricane's. That would be a big adjustment for me.

  8. Yes, being on this website has made me loose many hours of work and sleep. Especially when I was waiting for the noa 2. I have a 9 year old daughter and a 14 year old son. I can't believe they are as old as that. I feel like it was only a a couple of years that I had them. But being the age they are, will mean they will be a great older brother and sister to their future or brother and sister that we hope to be blessed with in the next year.

When do you move back to Texas? It will be nice to be away from the midwest's horrible winters! :P

    Take care, Rhonda

  9. Shaun,

I will give you a details on Monday. I love Liberian food! I'm glad you get to talk to his family. I love when we call his family and talk to them. They are all so supportive, his brother calls to check on me and my children. I have been waiting for a very long time to have a husband and in-laws. Feels so great to have them in our lives. I'm so happy to be marrying someone who is so loving and caring. It is an added bonus that his family is so helpful. His brother paid a lot of money and worked very hard to get Wilmot a passport, because of his refugee status his passport had expired and we were having a hard time figuring out how to get his passport renewed. His brother was able to make something happen, I think it helps because he works for a government office in Liberia. No matter I'm very thankful.

I like palmbutter too, but I really like Casava, chicken gravy, and pepper soup. I have to get to work, so have a nice day.

  10. Thanks for the great tips on making a marriage even stronger. Now that we are just waiting for our interview, I'm getting very excited but also nervous. I haven't lived with a man before and it feels that I have waited forever to get married. Wilmot, keeps telling me the real work and challenge will be living together. He says that until you live with someone you can't really know them. We are both looking forward to this new stage in our relationship, but I do get a little worried, so your tips are really appreciated!! Thanks!

  11. I also had to change Wilmot's address during this stage. When I called the embassy they said he needed to mail them a letter with the address change. We did so and everyone thing has been moving okay since then. Of course this was at a different embassy. I hope you are able to hear something when you talk to them today. I was a nervous wreck, in case they mailed our packet 3 to the wrong address and it would hold up the process even more than it has been because of IMBRA.
