Em and Mel, intresting that you two live in the same state. It would be great if you could get together and see each other sometime.
Michele, I agree it seemed like the days were too long after getting the Visa and then coming over here.
I have been busy with introducing Wilmot and wedding plans. So I haven't had much time on VJ. Sorry. Nothing new to post about the wedding. I hope everyone has a great week.

Mel, sorry we did not need to use a shipping company. I would go with Em's suggestion.
Mark and Michele, I'm so excited for the two of you, December will be here soon. Michele, don't stress out too much getting ready. J/K I had a nervous breakdown getting ready for Wilmot.
Em, I'm sorry to hear about your homesick feelings. Maybe you could volunteer at a school or community center. . . so you could interact with somepeople closer to your age. Wilmot will start volunteering, and also use that place as a reference when he starts looking for work.
The wedding is really keeping me busy. .. so I will check in once and a while. It is harder then I thought to get a wedding ready in 3 months. But I'm going to try my hardest. I will keep you all posted. I think we will invite close to 150 people to the reception.
Harry and Arazia, I'm glad to hear things are a little less tense.... I hope things continue to improve and you two work everything out with Harry's parents. Arazia, hopefully, your family is suppportive.
Have a good week, everyone.

Welcom Mel. . . good luck on your journey.
We are doing great. I went to buy my dress for the Wedding today. We are planning to have the wedding December 29, 30, or 31st. I prefer the 31st, but I will need to check on the reception site, this coming week.
I hope everything is going good for everyone, I will try to check in. We are going to apply for social security card next week. Em, did you wait two weeks to apply for yours?
Take care,
Rhonda

I'm so happy you recieved the visa. I had responded last night, but I think my internet connection was down.
Wilmot did not arrive on Saturday, he didn't get the VISA from the embasy until yesterday. He arrived today at 4 pm. Needless to say I'm very happy. We are also very happy because his POE was Chicago and he was given the temporary work permit. Which is really great news.
Em can't wait to hear what house you guys end up choosing.
I don't have a lot to tell about his interview. He keeps telling me it was very easy. For sure they asked him how we meet, and why he wants to marry me. I can't really get any other questions out of him. But as he tells me more this week, I will post more info for you Arazia.
Em I too hope that we can all keep each other posted as we move trhough AOS. I really need to start researching this area. I don't know anything, but I didn't know anything about K-1 before March.
Take care everyone.

I bought our ticket when we knew the interview date. I did have to reschedule the flight. His interview was on Tuesday and the flight was that Saturday. The problem was that he recieved the VISA on Tuesday not Friday like I was expecting. But I had checked on the change fee before, we booked it. It was only $60 to rebook.
Thanks

Hi! How is everyone doing? I have calmed back down, so I can write a quick update. I'm glad to hear that we are all moving forward. Michelle and Mark I know you wil be fine. Only a few days left!!!!
We are waiting for the passport and visa to arrive. I'm going to freak out if it does not come on Friday. I really don't want to change our ticket. . .. so I'm really praying and hoping. Plus I feel that I can't wait one more day to see Wilmot.
Anyway, I hope you all have a good weekend. Can't wait to hear your results on Tuesday.

My thoughts are with you tonight, hoping that you and Lauent will continue to support each other through this very hard journey. It does feel great when you have, supportive and a understanding people around you and a caring and wonderful man. Wishing for a VERY fast approval for you and Lauent.

I'm sorry to hear this. Maybe things will look better in a few days and it will not feel so impossible. Maybe someone will have advice on what to do. I wish I could say more, I feel your frustration and hope that it gets better. I wish I could offer more help...

Gary,
As a single parent of a 14 year old son, it sounds like you are getting a great woman in Luz and a wonderful son in Robin. Anyone who can raise a child to be respectful like it sounds she has done, really is a very special person. It is great to see that you three are really working hard on becoming a strong family. Best of luck.
