Had the interview yesterday and everything went well. Officer did a I-751/N-400 combined interview, so there were technically two separate parts to the interview. I would say it is important to make sure your spouse comes with you if your case is similar (3yr through marriage to US citizen). Officer was nice and polite but intense, and asked a number of personal questions. The combined interviews in total took about an hour. He asked the following questions for citizenship:
-Who is the Vice President now?
-Who becomes President if the President can no longer serve?
-Name one war fought by the US in the 1900s.
-Name one right only for US citizens.
-What happened at the Constitutional Convention?
+1 more I can't remember.
He said he had a lot of paperwork to do because of the combined cases, and that instead of making us wait an hour+ in the lobby he would just mail the oath notice. He said the ceremony should either be next week or the following week. Thanks to everyone in this (and other) groups on here for the support and advice throughout the years.

How did you email them for an update on your case? Was it for an update on your N400 case?
I emailed them through the portal on my.uscis.gov. Yes, it was for an update on the N400.

It might also be worth mentioning that I emailed them last week for an update on my case, got a response on Thursday. Then on Monday, I got notification that they scheduled the interview. I can't imagine my inquiry prompted them to schedule the interview, but the two incidents seem too close together to be complete coincidence.

YAY Butalas, so exciting! Let us know when you know the date 😄
Thanks--interview scheduled for 11/25. I assume it will be a combo interview (I-751 was transferred to NBC after filing N400), but so far I have no way of being sure.

Got notification that the interview was scheduled today--still waiting on the notice for more info!

Good morning everyone,
I received an update email from USCIS that my appointment for the N-400 has been schedule. I don’t know the date yet.
I’m from Massachusetts.
Great! Join us over at the Boston-specific thread:
Do you also have a pending I-751?

Filed in mid-April, biometrics done at the beginning of May. No word on the interview yet.

Interesting, my status changed from we ordered new card to we approved your I 485 next Day and has not changed since. How long did it take for them from your interview date to change the status to card was mailed to you? Thanks in advance.
Don't worry, the same happened to me. The status switched to card mailed after four days, and it arrived two days or so after that. You will have it soon!
-
Question for you:
Did you online Status changed to card has been mailed or anything?
Yeah it changed to card mailed and then card delivered.

Hi All,
Received the green card in the mail yesterday. Best of luck to everyone still waiting, and see you all in 2 years!

Had the interview yesterday and was approved on the spot! The officer was very nice and it only took maybe 15 minutes. Best of luck to everyone else still waiting!

It was mostly verifications and the officer had to read and ask me about the series of questions listed in form I-458. We brought all documents that we thought was needed (joint financial docs, health insurance etc plus recent pictures) for the interview but the immigration officer did not even ask us to show it to them.
Its funny because at the beginning the officer couldn't find my medical form and informed me that I might send another (which means I had to go and get another medical exam etc etc). But fortunately, he just "misplaced" another folder and finally found my medical!!! I actually couldn't believe how did he missed it. He actually blamed the Nebraska Office because he said that my papers went through there and probably that's usually where the confusion comes from LOL. anyway, after a few words of apologies from him. He gave me a pc. of paper that indicates that I'm recommended for approval and told us that I would have to remove conditions after 2 years etc. After about 2 hours, I received an email from USCIS notification telling me that my green card is being produced. what a relief.
All in all, it was a positive and nice interview, we had a good chat about things in general. I think you'll be alright as long as you submitted all the proper forms and documents. And, even if they don't ask for additional documents during the interview, it is still best to bring them just in case.
good luck!
Congrats again—besides the medical, that sounds fairly nice and stress-free. I'm just a bit worried because I don't have a copy of the I-485 we submitted, but it seems like they generally don't ask for that (I have plenty of other things such as joint financial documents, pictures, etc). Here's to not having to deal with this stuff for 2 years!

we had our interview yesterday and the AOS application was approved on the spot. My status on USCIS website also changed to card being produced after about 2 hours.
Congrats! How was the interview? Did they ask for all the documents listed on the notice? Mine is coming up in about a week and I want to be properly prepared.

Our AOS case hasn't been updated since 12/31/15 that says they received our response to the RFE. Makes me hopeful that someone in this thread at least just got an interview appointment from Boston.
I'm sure yours will come through soon. I've been noticing a lot of people at the Boston office have been getting interviews/approvals lately. Just hang in there!
Green card approved! Super easy interview, no questions really except to confirm stuff. Now a break until ROC. ^^
Congrats! Hope mine is as easy.

Received an interview date in the mail today, scheduled for June 28th in Boston! Excited to get this whole thing over with.

Is anyone here still waiting on green card?
Still waiting over here. Last responded to RFIE on January 15th--needed more info for the i-864. Received EAD/AP on February 3rd. Nothing since then. I wish this part were over already!!

Hi all, a little progress report:
Our petition made it through the NVC stage in about 5 days (after having been received by them, took USCIS about 3 weeks to send it). Just checked the petition's status on the CEAC website and as of this morning it is showing "Ready." For reference, our petition was approved about 1 month ago, and this seems about consistent with the progress of many other petitions.
Wishing you all an easy and successful petition and visa process!

Hi All,
Has anyone who has already received their NOA2 heard from the NVC yet? My approval date was on July 2nd--I called the NVC yesterday and they said they still hadn't received my petition. Let's keep an eye on the NVC's progress together!
-
Thanks everyone! I hope this is a sign that all of our petitions will begin to move along quickly and painlessly.
29 days! That must be some sort of record!

Hi All,
Just wanted to check in to say that we received our NOA 2 yesterday on July 2nd! Our NOA 1 date was June 3rd.

NOA 2 recieved 22nd June
Congrats!

Never heard that DVDs weren't allowed but whatever, we've already provided lots of things to prove our relationship is bona fide. Like I said before, we've chosen to be overly prepared rather than being sorry later
Question : Does anyone know if there are any plus sides of being active duty? I mean security clearance,etc...There's a hotline number for military service members on USCIS website. We've called them but they seemed to be very unfamiliar to the process so couldn't get any healthy information.
Another question: My fiance is currently stationed in Utah and sent our petition from there. But, soon, he'll be moving to Syracuse, NY. He'll change our address online later... Since the current address is in Utah, our petition is to be directed to TSC supposedly. But, I've heard that all applications were being forwarded to CSC recently due to the fact that TSC is overloaded.
NY applications must be forwarded to VSC.
My question is... What will happen to our file when we change the address from UT to NY? Will it still be processed at CSC or forwarded to VSC?
Hope someone can answer...
Good luck all!
Jen
Hi Jen,
I can't speak to the military service, but it seems that all petitions are currently going to CSC, regardless of home address. I doubt that you would get transferred just because you moved.

Hi there, someone knows if the petioner can come lives in the fiance's country during the processing time? I heard you that yes it's possible, but what about when he gonna received the NOA2 approbation by mail? Can he put his mother mail adress? Thank you!
Hi Sonia&Justin,
Living together shouldn't be a problem--I currently live outside of the US with my fiancee. For my address, I put my actual address that I share with her. Is there a reason he wouldn't be able to do the same?

My fiance and I are about to submit our K1 Visa Petition to USCIS. We want to ask if my fiance (the petitioner) need to disclosed his arrest records in the past. He had no convictions. The first one was dismissed and the second one he was given "Withheld Adjudication" and served probation which he completed. We know that the USCIS will do a background check on him. Is it necessary to disclosed the arrest records or should we just let them find out on their own since there were only arrest made and no convictions?
Hi Aljci,
Please read all instructions on the I-129F VERY carefully and follow them exactly. Refer to Part 3 question 2, and read the supplemental information. If he answers yes to 2a, 2b, or 2c, he is required to disclose further information. If he answers no, then you don't have to (read--shouldn't). It's probably a good idea not to voluntarily give them reasons to reject your petition, and at the same time, you are required to answer all questions truthfully and honestly, though I'm not sure which would apply to you in this case.
Bottom line, answer the questions, and follow the instructions exactly, truthfully, and honestly.
Best of luck!
