Thanks for letting us know but it is also very disappointing that they are only handling Oct 2015 cases now when PD is only a few months away. They should be approving 2017 cases at least.

In any case, at least you are probably the first person I have seen in the last 6 months who got approved from CSC for F2B and could provide some info on what date they are handling. CSC has been really disappointing for F2B cases.

On oct 25, 2015 USCIS received my case. On apr 3 2020 they approved my case. I setup email alert on USCIS website so I can get notification everytime my case status is changed. I hasn’t received I-797 receipt yet, they said I will receive by 18 this month.

  2. Hi,

My mom's IR5 visa is scheduled for July 27th. But when I check CEAC site (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx), it says the case is still with NVC. Other than the PDF file in the email, there is no other information/communication. Should we be concerned or it normal ?

When I called Mumbai consulate, they gave https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthometo set up biometric interviews.

Which site do we have to use to track the progress of the case / issuance of visa etc.

It's normal. Your case will be transferred to your country about 10 days before the interview.

  3. 1fy123 thank you so much for letting me know i can apply for a tourist visa. i have a question. when filling for a tourist visa do i have to put in the form that im in a family sponsored case? when you applyied for a tourist visa did you put that in the form?

Remember: Always tell the truth, otherwise you will be in trouble if they figure out.

  4. 1. It depends on how you put on her I-864. Example:
    Case 1
6.5: put her individual annual income (Form W-2)
    6.6a-6.6c: put nothing
6.10: Also put her income on W-2 (same amount of 6.5) then spouse doesn't need to submit I-864A.

    Case 2
6.5: put her individual annual income (W-2)
    6.6a-6.6c: put her spouse's income
6.10: put income on married filing jointly tax. And her spouse has to submit I-864A.

    2. Yes. She has to submit any proof that she is not unemployed at the current, such as: recent 3 months payslip, or certificate of employment.

    3. If you provide a photocopy of your tax return, you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your return. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your return rather than a photocopy.

If you do your own business, you should have completed one of the following forms with your Federal income tax return: Schedule C/D/E/F. You must include each and every form 1040 Schedule, if any, that you filed with your Federal tax return.

    Hope this helps!

  5. Simple. Just do what they ask. Because your uncle is living different address with you, he must complete form I-864.

According to I864 instruction: If your uncle's individual annual income is greater than 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for his

household size, he doesn't need to include Nora's income. Otherwise, he must include your aunt's income and she have to complete form I-864A.
