  1. Call NVC and get a hold of a supervisor... Be insistent but nice! If you don't get it than call again... Persistence pays off... Good luck getting through the NVC... Not many do without one problem or another

Spoke with NVC 3 times in past week. Supervisor is never available. They say our case is being looked into.

How can you loose track of a case? Only the NVC can do that..lol

If we don't look after our case I suppose it just disappears... Awesome system.

  2. Anyone have this problem?

We gorgeous receipt number and our DS-160 confirmation number but the embassy confirms they did not get physical or electronic docs.

The NVC (NH) is suppose to be looking into the problem. When I speak to them on the phone they say a supervisor is working on it and they will let me know when they have an answer.

Is there a way for me to check on this myself?

  3. If you have been approved and your file is at the NVC already, YES, go get the police certificate for sure. They can time to get. The medical I can't speak for, as it's different in every country. For instance, I can't book my medical until I have an interview date.

Ok I will have her get the police report. Our file is on it's way to NVC. DS160 is also complete. I believe we need an interview date to get medical also. Thank you .

both the police certificate and the medical is valid for 6 month,,,i got my police certificate in december 2014 because nvc asked for it ,,but i will need a new police certificate at my interview because its not valid anymore,,,as for medical i got it few days ago because my case has benn completed,,,so i would advise you get your police certificate now ,but your medical wait at least untill you get a case complete notice from nvc,,good luck

Ok thank you that's sounds typical. We will get police cert. and wait for medical.

  4. Finally have the interview scheduled for Monday (after delays due to the Embassy's technical problems). I'm currently in Costa Rica with my fiancé, but have a trip planned the day of the interview with a friend who's visiting from the States. It would be possible to postpone the trip if it's necessary that I go to the interview, but obviously that wouldn't be the first choice.

    What do you think?

Would accompanying him at the interview make a big difference?

If I don't go, do we need to provide extra evidence of our relationship (beyond a copy of all the photos, receipts, passport stamps evidence that we provided in the initial I-129f petition)?

Have there been cases where a K-1 visa was denied, but might have been approved had the fiancé been at the interview??

Any thoughts, advice, experience would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

If you can, go with your fiancée. I believe they will not allow you to the interview. I also think that they will not even let you into the embassy. The appointment is for the fiancée and has his or her name on it only.

We are in the process and getting close to an interview. I have seen several different visa interviews and the only person allowed was the one being interviewed. Good luck.

  5. congratulations everyone on getting the approvals.

Happy for all of you, but also growing more and more frustrated (if that is even possible). :crying:

We're waiting since November 10! Any other early November fillers out there that are still waiting? Or are we skipped?

Keep checking your email sounds like you might get it any moment.

About the time you are going crazy you will get a message from USCIS.

    Hope you hear very soon.

  6. All.

I would like to say I'm overjoyed. Approved last night.

There is still much to be done following the many posts from others who have shared their approval status. To everyone still waiting. Be encouraged as your day is near.

I may never meet many of our November and early December filers. If you are in the Houston area. Perhaps, we can meet. Like a reunion of sort to meet others that have shared the journey with a celebration.

Awesome. Congratulations to both of you.

For us, the next step is to wait for the hard copy in the mail, then do electronic DS-160 and also some kind of financial information ( not sure about that yet).

All to be followed by, medical for Fiancée in Liberia and interview. There could be a few other items that I missed.

  7. Hello everyone!!!!

Sent in my I-129F November 20, 2014 and received NOA1 12/05/2014. I called a few weeks ago and they stated that they've received my petition and also my change of address. It's been 6 months and nothing else since... ??? Extremely anxious and at times very sad.

That's how it is. We did our before that and still waiting. Hang in there. More NOA2's coming soon.

  8. Thank you! You should be coming up soon because they received my I29F on 11/10/14! Hope you hear soon!
