I doubt any Feb filers have received anything yet. But I hope we will all get something soon.
I had an InfoPass appt, and out of curiosity I asked if walk-ins help speed things up. The officer said, absolutely not. He said :"We will get to you, when we get to you, you know".
He told me we can only start asking questions "AT LEAST!!!" (lol) 75 days after filing the case. And they will really care only after 90 days...hmmm But hey, sounds good, right? We can all add 75 days to our filing day and hope. Dunno, he made me feel better about it.

Has anyone recieved their EAD / work permit?
If so, how long after biometrics?
-
Biometrics done.
Now wait some more.

Bio appointment March 17....

We mailed our I-485 package on 2/16/2016 express overnight. They haven't cashed the check or have we gotten a response. How can you check online? With no numbers? And where?
Thanks
Did you do return receipt?
The first notice we got was by email, then text. Shortly after that the check was cashed- saw that by me bank account. Then we got the return receipt in the mail. Still have not received the hard copy in the mail.
There is a case number in the email and that is how we can check status on website.

If the beneficiary did finger prints on entry in USA, at POE, I assume no finger print appointment will be required again. Correct?
Anyone else in this situation?
What should we expect for a biometrics?

1) So my question is simple. Can I work while I wait to get married and then wait for my EAD?
I know we need a work permit. A soldier told me that I may be able to do day labor, not sure what this means.
2) Also, would gardening be allowed? Or helping other people in return for money?
3) Am I allowed to work for a company located in my home country while I wait? Since I am in IT, I can do everything remotely.
4) Can I keep earning money from AdSense? I guess this would be a yes.
It is harsh that you have to save up a lot of money and then live off people for a few months.
1. Simple answer, NO you can not work.
2. No you can not work for money.
The laws and rules are easy to find and written everywhere. Good luck.

Hi all! This might be a silly question...but I am sending off my K-1 TODAY and I found another box on my I-129 that I didn't mark. Ugh! It just asks if my fiancee has ever been to the US before. Can I just mark it with pen or do I need to fill it out again and print it out? It's question 15. And question 34a on the application, did everyone write/type in "Please see attachment/continuation"? Yes, I am a worrier and stressing myself out
Thank you!
I believe you can file the form out in black ink, if I recall the instructions. I don't think ere would be a problem with marking a box with black ink. I have done that myself on some of our forms. Good luck.

Sadly I had to do 2 cause my husbands bank only allow $1000 limit for 1 cheque so I made one for $985 which is the amount for the AOS and another $85 for the biometrics which I wrote it on the piece of paper so they know about the 2 cheques
Good luck on ur journey
Ok. That should work. Your total amount is the same as my single check was. Should be just fine.
-
Well everyone I am mailing out my package again today and THIS TIME I also put a letter stating what the amount is and made it in a way they will be able to read it and what the 2 cheques are for , I'm hoping I don't wait super long and they will give me my NOA1 ASAP
2 checks? Not sure, I put everything on one check and I know others have also. That's what the instructions say to do also. I made a cover sheet as instructed and on that sheet I put the amount of the check and then listed a table of contents with all the items on package. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that was correct. So far everything is going as planned. Good luck.

Trying to post timeline and can't seem to find instructions or setting for this.
Want to make my timeline visible at bottom of my post. Makes it easier for people with questions or answers.
Thanks.

update:
feb-13 AOS package sent
feb-18 AOS delivered
feb-24 email received
CASE STATUS
feb 19- EAD-case received
feb 19- AP - case received
feb 23- AOS -fingerprint fee received
i just wonder by checking the AOS status. the first status is fingerprint fee received, is it the first status should be..?
I have the same response, fingerprint received and case being worked on. I believe this is normal and standard. Everything should have been done correctly and is being processed.

We got an email notice and text notice on Feb. 18.
Check also cashed.

3 months!? That's incredible. Never mind then!
Do people actually send all that? I mean, my application was stacked and filled out to the T (I think) but I didn't include photo's or joint account stuff since we didn't have any of that from sending in our application so soon after getting married. Under what premise would you include photo's?
No where did it ask for pics Or extra items. I sent exactly what was requested. Marriage certificate was one of the items. Also my 2015 taxes are not done yet. I sent last 3 yrs.

In the same boat here. Sent everything out on Feb.11. Checked not cashed yet. Package is sitting at Chocago Lockbox.

It is showing 2 options to send my I-485 package. They are both USCIS in Chicago, one is PO Box other is a physical address. I can send to either using USPS. Is one better that the other?
Thank you.

You need to get serious. If you have your visa, that's all that really matters at this point. Stop entertaining yourself with fake threats, stop communicating with this person. Focus on your goal and stay strong. It's a long process.
If someone harasses you or threatens you in the USA, you can report them (have evidence).
Good luck.

I would look here to be sure!
Thank you. It's a K-1 , so first address listed.
read the instructions. calling them will not help. The addresses are all included in the instruction for the I-485. Where to send the form will depend on what you are adjusting from which you did not include on your profile and what carrier you'll be using to send the forms. Please see the previous post.
Thank you.

Everything is ready to be mailed.
I will call the 800 number tomorrow to get the correct mailing address to send my I-485 package.
Is this correct?
-
Thank you. Your answers saved me a lot of reading.
I appreciate it.

One more thing I see the I-765 is $380.00 is that included also?
Thank Bariki and Pitaya
-
Yes, send the I-765 along with the I-485. No additional fee is required for the I-765 when you file it along with the I-485.
Thank you.
Do you know for certain that the I-485 fee is $985.?
In addition to the $985 is a $85 fee for biometrics services?
These 2 fees can be combined on one check payment?

in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports

True the Feb filers are just getting appointments for biometrics (hopefully).
I assume infopass is for questions etc. I don't understand what you mean by 75 days.
At our biometrics appointment we were told a matter of weeks for EAD ( less than one month).
Every case is different. We did K1 visa process. Thanks for responding
